Claylands Park

As an owner or guest on our Park, you automatically acknowledge your full agreement with and acceptance of the following Park Rules, which must be adhered to by both you and your family any guests. It is your

responsibility to inform users of your family & guests of the Park Rules.

Rules for all users of the Park

You agree:

To act in a courteous and considerate manner towards anyone visiting, using or working on the Park, including the management, our staff and other customers.

To supervise children properly so they are not a nuisance or danger to themselves or others;

parents/guardians are always responsible for the behaviour of their children and children in their care.

No playing in the utility block.

Ball games are not permitted on the Park

You further agree that you will not:

· Commit any criminal offence at the Park or undertake any criminal activity

· Commit any acts of vandalism or nuisance

· Keep any firearm or any other weapon at the Park including "BB" guns or air weapons

· Use any unlawful drugs

· Create any undue noise or disturbance

· Carry out any trade or business whilst on the Park

· Use fireworks

· Permit anyone who is to your knowledge on the Sex Offender's Register compiled under the Sex Offenders Act 1997 to use or visit the Park

PITCH ALLOCATION

Every endeavour will be made to allocate guests the pitch of their choice, however, it must be clearly understood that acceptance of a booking is not conditional on the allocation of a specified pitch. We cannot guarantee that caravans or tents booked in together will be beside each other on site.

PAYMENT

Payment can be made by cash, BACS or credit/debit card.

Please do not ask staff to allow access to a pitch without full balance payment as refusal may offend.

MINIMUM STAY

All bank holidays have a minimum 3-night stay.

DEALING WITH ELECTRIC HOOK-UPS

The maximum loading on each electric hook up is 10 amps. If any problems occur, please carry out the

following checks:

A. If there is no power to your caravan, CHECK

1. Are you properly plugged into the electricity box? Disconnect the plug and reconnect it making sure it is fully inserted

2. Is the main switch in the electricity supply box trip in the on position? If not push to the bottom and lift back to the top

3. Is the main switch in your own caravan/ motorhome in the on position?

B. If the electricity is tripping off: Check

1. What have you turned on in your caravan? You may be overloading your trip or one of your electrical appliances is faulty. Turn off all appliances and check which appliance is the cause.

If you have carried out all these checks and there is still no power, please contact a member of staff

FIRE

The fire assembly point for the Park is the car park in front of the reception building. In the event of an

emergency dial 999 for the emergency services and notify the park manager immediately

QUIET ENJOYMENT OF THE PARK

Please respect your fellow guests and keep noise to a minimum, especially when leaving Stepping Stones and after 11pm

Please note that we use CCTV cameras on our Park to ensure the safety of all our guests.

In keeping with the general quiet nature of our Park, we will not allow large gatherings of guests to partake in any social event, e.g. a barbecue or party, unless it has been organised by the Park or permission has been granted by the Park management.

VEHICLES

The speed limit on the Park is 10mph and this must always be strictly adhered to

All vehicles on the Park must conform to the Road Traffic Act and have current tax, MOT and insurance, the provisions of the Highway Code apply to the roads on the Park and must be adhered to

Vehicles should not be driven whilst under the influence of alcohol or drugs

Drivers must be in possession of a full and current driving licence

Commercial vehicles, lorries or large vans with sign writing are not allowed on the Park

No recreational vehicles can be used on the Park, this includes motorised scooters (with the exception of disability scooters), electrical or motorised bikes, go-karts and ATVs

No mechanical or repair work is to be undertaken on the Park

Visitor's cars should be parked on the car park

BICYCLES, SCOOTERS, ETC.

Bicycles must be ridden with due care and attention to other guests and in a courteous and responsible

manner. No racing or riding of bicycles up the disabled ramp to the utility block

Please make sure that bicycles are parked sensibly and do not cause an obstruction to other guests or

vehicles. Bicycles should not be left unattended at the roadside.

In the interests of safety, bicycles are only to be ridden during the hours of daylight.

No roller blades or skateboards are allowed on the Park.

HEALTH & SAFETY

Children must not be left alone in caravans, motorhomes, tents, ensuite rooms, holiday houses or holiday

homes

Please be aware that during periods of inclement weather certain areas of the Park may be slippery

because of factors such as ice and mud. We recommend that you always wear appropriate footwear and

tread with caution during these times.

All accidents must be reported to reception (or Stepping Stones if more appropriate) and documented in the

Park Accident Book.

Kites are not permitted due to the proximity of power cables.

The use of vaping and e-cigs is not permitted anywhere in Stepping Stones during food service hours

Smoking is not permitted in any of the buildings at Claylands Park. A designated smoking area is provided

outside Stepping Stones for smokers.

STEPPING STONES BAR AND RESTAURANT

Children under the age of 15 are welcome in the conservatory but are not permitted in the bar area.

Children must always be supervised. The conservatory is not a games room & horseplay will not be

tolerated.

Persons under the age of 18 years are not allowed to play cash bingo.

Persons under the age of 16 are not allowed to use the gaming machine in the bar.

We want everyone to have an enjoyable stay and will not tolerate underage drinking. Therefore, if you are

fortunate enough to appear under the age of 25 years, we may ask you to provide identification. The ID you

provide must be an official document, such as a driving licence or passport.

SAFETY AROUND THE FISHING PONDS & RIVER

Please do not let children play or wander unsupervised by the river or fishing ponds.

Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult aged 18 or over whilst fishing.

GUESTS WITH DOGS

Well-trained and well-behaved dogs are welcome on the Park. We reserve the right to refuse permission

on any grounds and in particular to refuse permission for certain breeds (including but not limited to dogs

listed under the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991). A maximum of two dogs per booking will be welcome, unless

prior agreement is arranged with the Park management.

Only assistance dogs are permitted in Stepping Stones

Dogs must be kept on a lead and must always wear a collar and identity tag .

Owners are responsible for the behaviour of their pets at all times. Permission for any animal may be withdrawn at any time if the pet is a nuisance, if you are requested to do so by us the pet must be removed from the Park immediately.

Owners must clean up after their dog immediately. Dog waste should not be put into any bins near the

children's play area.

LITTER

All litter MUST be placed inside the bins. Please use recycling bins where appropriate, if you find that a bin is full, please report it to the Park Reception.

GENERAL

Any item that causes an obstruction to the grass cutter or strimmer will be removed from the pitch and

disposed of.

Open fires and ground level BBQs are not permitted.

The use of generators is not permitted.

Cutting or damaging trees or other vegetation is strictly prohibited and the natural vegetation and conditions

of the Park are not to be disturbed. This includes tying ropes to or driving nails into trees

Nothing, including personal belongings, may be stored underneath caravans.

No washing to be strung out on washing lines

Claylands Park does not accept responsibility for any loss or damage that may occur to your property whilst

on the Park, except where such loss or damage has arisen as a result of our negligence or a breach of our

duty to you.

You must not permit waste water to be discharged on the ground.

No trade or business activity to be carried out or run from the Park without the prior agreement of the Park

owners.

THE COUNTRYSIDE CODE

Claylands Park is set in the heart of the countryside & it is likely that you will see wild birds & animals &

farm animals during your stay. Whilst these enhance the enjoyment of the area, careless behaviour could

result in injury.
