When we arrived the reception was easy to find and they were very quick to book us in and were very helpful. The site is very big but is well sign posted and kept very clean. The pitch that we had was a very good size and good value for money. On our pitch we had a large 6 man ten with a porch and two cars and we still had room to sit outside and have a barbecue. The farm shop on site had a good variety of items and was reasonably priced. The chip shop was very good, though we did find the pub quite expensive as three pints cost nearly £15. The swimming was a bit of a pain to book and so we didn't end up going. The crazy golf was a good laugh and was just hard enough that the children didn't get fed up or bored. The only thing we felt was missing was being able to have a little fire pit to sit around and have a drink in the evenings.

The toilet blocks were spotless and we went at a busy time. There are pop up food vans (inc Mexican street food, cocktails, burgers), a restaurant, a pub/restaurant, fish and chip takeaway, petting zoo (small fee for kids), indoor heated pool (small fee), camping shop for essentials and a shop which sells croissants and sausage rolls, pasties, frozen stuff, rolls, bread, milk, toys - all sorts and reasonably priced too. Loads of kids play areas for young kids and older kids - really well thought out and spaced around the site no matter where your pitch is. Those with dogs - good dog only areas. I'm not a dog owner but this looked well equipped for dogs and there were loads on site. Really lovely staff and amazing. My only gripe is that the soft play is for under 5's and opens at 6pm! Anyone with small kids knows this is dinner time and when it was raining in the day this needed to be open! Honestly though amazing site! Stayed a week and was fab.

A lovely week away with the family. Plenty of space between pitches. Lots of open space for my boys to run around. All facilities on site was the best that we have ever been to. The camp shop was well stocked and reasonably priced. Petarama was over priced and poor for what you experienced. Really easy to find and close to all tourist attractions.

This site is not for novices. Just to get into the fields is challenging. The pitches are extremely steep and there is a pickup truck driving around with bricks etc to offer customers. Unfortunately reception don't acknowledge they have a problem, which is rather troublesome. One of our caravans rear legs got damaged due to the slope. The photos show just how uneven the pitches are. Reception were also extremely unhelpful and dismissive when one of our cars died and I asked if they had any jump leads we could borrow. Fortunately a kind lady followed us out and offered us hers. She also commented how unhelpful they were. The showers are extremely hot, too hot for children. Tried to use the family room to wash a small child and this shockingly costs 50p, which we found disgraceful having paid £300 for 6 nights (2 adults and 1 child). This site is all about pay, pay and pay more. Paid for 1 hour swimming, but you only get 50 mins. Old signage also means you change ready to swim but freeze going back to your pitch. There are some good points. The site's washing up facilities are very clean and well kept - and there are plenty of them. Water taps are nice and close to your pitch. The chip shop is reasonably priced and serves very good food. The ice cream shack is very nice, though extremely pricey. The horse riding is great for kids, and not badly priced. We had expected to pay for this due to the animals' up keep. Large pitches and tarmac too, but all let down by the bad slopes.

Sorry to hear that you didn't like the pitches you were on, as you were informed these are popular pitches which have been used throughout the season for many years. They are sloping, which is why we advise bringing blocks with you for levelling up. I'm sorry you found our reception unhelpful, we are not able to lend out jump leads. I hope you can visit us again in the future as I'm confident you will have a different experience.

Check-in was fair. When we arrived there were 4 people behind desks, but only 1 appeared to be working. We were a party of 3 and all had to see the same person. Staff were friendly. Pitches in Field 5 had a great view but due to the incline would be poor for novices to set up on. Our caravan A frame was nearly 1m off the ground to get the caravan level. Toilet blocks were kept really clean although water was a bit too hot for kids. Chemical disposal point was poor. Way too small and positioned on a pathway where people walked a lot. For quite an expensive park, we didn't expect to then have to pay for additional recreation like swimming, crazy golf, etc.

Location is very good and the site has great sized pitches, with clean toilet blocks conveniently located. Showers were a little small and set low but quite usable. Entertainment was good and facilities were ok, have to pay for use of swimming pool. The one meal we had was poor and I wouldn't eat there again. Parks for kids were good and Petorama was fantastic. Horse riding was good too. Our main complaint would be the reception. Staff were generally rude or unhelpful right from arrival to needing assistance whilst away. Knowing this now I wouldn't waste my time asking them for help again. The only thing you need them for is a pitch number on arrival. I get the impression talking to other guests they are so big and popular now customer service is not a requirement for them to succeed. I have to say that every other member of staff outside of reception I met were great and so friendly and helpful. This wouldn't stop me going back to what is a great caravan/camping park.

Fantastic campsite. Large pitches, very well spaced out and organised. Conveniently located shower and washing facilities, all very clean and well looked after. The landscaping was immaculate, and there were lots of facilities onsite to keep the children occupied. Swimming pool was a big hit, along with ice cream shop. The beaches were a 10-15 min drive and were beautiful! Lynton was a 30 min drive but the water powered trains were worth a visit. Tesco and Lidl are both a 10 mins drive. Wi-fi was good in and near the buildings. The children had a great time, and everyone was very friendly! Definitely recommend for those with young families.

You had to book swimming pool, which was not mentioned on arrival, and there was no life guard, plus the temperature of pool is tepid. 2 showers in the wash facilities were not working and very tiny changing room. Best to plan meals before going as you need to book tables for food (again, this was not mentioned on arrival) and you may be waiting 2 hours for it to be brought out. Very small facility in stable barn to accommodate the whole site, meaning if the weather is bad, you will be lucky to fit in. Toilets and showers were really good, although shut for 2 hours a day so need to bare that in mind. Internet signal really poor. Personally will not be returning.

Nice, clean, quiet camping and caravanning site. Lots of children on site and very dog friendly. There were good playground facilities and good provisions for dog exercise onsite. The toilets and shower blocks were very well maintained. Nice sized plots. All in all, a very pleasant campsite!
