Scotlands House Campsite

The site does not provide a shower or toilet block, but offers hire of portable toilets and toilet tents for a small extra fee (portable toilet £5). Guests are welcome to bring their own facilities and should bring a water container for washing plates etc by their unit as there are no sinks. A playground is provided.

There are three good pubs and restaurants and a cafe across the road.

Something that has always been important to me is to be the change you want to see in the world.

So when the opportunity came up to take over the management I couldn't say no. Although from the outside it looks like just 2.5 acres of grass, once you're here you'll realise it's the place that you've been looking for. And I know that because I spent years looking for it and I couldn't find "it". So I decided to create what I thought "it" was. It's all about planting the seed and putting foundations in to allow experiences to blossom.

Being a full-time vanlifer and part of the digital nomad generation, as fun as it sounds there is a lot of loneliness in sitting behind your laptop all day, so I wanted to create a space where during the week there's an area for people to come and work together, beat the feeling of loneliness a bit and create the opportunity to meet like-minded people, where then on the weekends it's all about enjoying nature, good company and breaking bread together.

I needed a place where I can come in relax, switch off from the world, meet some new people or just have a nap under some trees. And at the same time, I love to host so having this place means there's always something fun I can get stuck in to and create a space where people can feel safe and unwind and have some enjoyment.
