About Valley View Camping

Set in the North Yorkshire countryside, just minutes from a rocky beach, this small, adult only site is perfect for those looking to relax and unwind in open countryside. The site is located just off the Cinder Track, a route from Whitby to Scarborough that offers scenic coastal views away from traffic. There are just five grass pitches for tents, trailer tents, campervans and motorhomes measuring 4.5m x 6.5m and five hardstanding pitches for trailer tents, campervans and motorhomes, allowing for a peaceful stay. All pitches are non electric and some may have partial sea views. Pitches are spread across two areas. For those who want to leave the hassle of hammering in the tent pegs behind, there is a cosy camping pod which is the perfect weather-proof alternative to a tent. The pod sleeps two and has bench seating and a table inside which converts into a double bed with king-sized bedding and four pillows stored away under the seats. The pod includes electric sockets and lights and measures 4m x 2m with a height of 1.5m, but do note that the doors are only 1m tall so you will need to duck when entering. The pod is set in one of the camping fields. Or, you can book the shepherd's hut that sits in a quiet area of the campsite and is equipped with a double bed, bedding, a sink with hot water, a kettle, toaster, hot plate, cutlery and crockery. Outside the shepherd's hut is a picnic bench and private toilet. Located only 15 minutes from Scarborough and 20 minutes from Whitby, the site makes a great base for exploring North Yorkshire's coastal towns and the North York Moors National Park. Robin Hood's Bay is only a 20 minute drive away, a picturesque old fishing village with a sandy beach and rock pools. Please bring your own towels and a torch for heading to the facilities at night time. Guests are welcome to use the picnic benches on site so bring along a BBQ and enjoy cooking a tasty burger in the great outdoors. The site is dog friendly so be sure to bring your four-legged friends, sorry no dogs in the camping pod or shepherd's hut.

Open from 1 April to 31 October
