Had a great stay at Tomkins Farm. The campsite is in a beautiful location, spacious, easy laid-back arrival, and the facilities are exactly what you might need. A fantastic price, too, it was really nice that each pitch came with a firepit. Would absolutely visit again.
A great stay!

Stayed here for 2 nights during the school summer holidays. A lovely campsite which was reasonably busy - I'd say around 110 people on site. We were able to arrive early having been given our pitch number in advance. Facilities are fine for a campsite - outside showers (which were so hot), plenty of toilets (mixed, boys and girls), fresh coffees made at 9am with freshly cooked pizza from 5pm. Played music is not allowed even though a few people did - though the louder ones were asked to switch it off by the owners. Very child friendly and able to visit the camels, alpacas and sheep. Decent sized pitches and no motorhomes allowed.
Lovely low key campsite, beautiful spot

This is just the kind of campsite we like, that is so hard to find nowadays. Facilities were just what we needed, really enjoyed the open air showering! The food and drink available at the weekend was a really nice touch, as was the drive by deliveries of beers and logs in the evening! Didn't get to go on any of the walks unfortunately, but the countryside is beautiful and the kid loved seeing the alpacas and camels and especially enjoyed exploring the little woodland, that is a real gem for kids. Highly recommend for everyone

If you're looking for a no thrills, basic amenities grassy meadow with llamas and sheep then stay here. Facilities, toilets, showers and wash area were all good. Owner came to visit us and delivered wood for a campfire.
If only they could fix the weather

We arrived at the same time as torrential rain and had two days of dreadful wind and rain but it didn't dampen our spirits. Phillip, the owner, was incredible, providing a warm welcome, helping us pitch tent in between the rains and advising on the best spot to avoid getting the car stuck etc. The site itself is basic but hey it's camping! There are toilets on site which are reasonably clean, though would benefit from better lighting and the locks looking at as they're shared and some were tricky. The showers were a little too basic for us, but others used them quite happily. Lovely touches such as weekend pizza nights with mini bar, breakfast (pastries and fresh coffee), and the ice cream van calling much to the excitement of the kids. Even better, the on site animals, sheep, lambs, lama's and the two camels were a major draw for us and a good training opportunity for our puppy. Fire pits and logs were available though, we failed to manage a roaring fire this time. All in all, we loved it and will be back.
Would recommend this campsite to anyone

Arrived around 7.30pm. Contacted owner to let him know we were there and he dropped our pre ordered logs off, had a great chat with him - a great guy. Had a few drinks and got talking to a couple over the way. We had a great night having a few drinks with them.

The tranquility of the site was only matched by the friendliness of the staff and fellow campers. Everyone I met was warm and welcoming, creating a community feel that's often missing in our daily lives. Tomkins Farm is more than just a camping site; it's a retreat that offers a break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. It's a place where you can reconnect with nature, enjoy the serenity of the lake, and be part of a friendly community. Hihly recommended for anyone looking for a beautiful, quiet, and friendly camping experience.

Phillip was an excellent host, the campsite was excellent and the facilities clean and accessible. The alpacas and camels entertained the kids and adults alike! We were grateful for the QR codes to order drinks and fire wood plus the coffee/ croissant van at the weekend and pizza oven on Saturday evenings.

It is a working farm on the Gatwick flight path, we found it tricky sleeping with the planes and sheep competing to be heard, with intermittent snoring from a nearby tent! That said the field is well kept with comfortable spacing between plots. Toilets, showers and washing up facilities all in good order. My little one and I had a great time, lots of space to play and we enjoyed seeing the sheep, alpacas and camels. Coffee van in the morning (with pastries) was a very welcomed service! A recommended site.

What a really lovely campsite! We had such a brilliant time here that we decided to stay an extra night. The facilities were clean and well looked after. We thoroughly enjoyed sitting around the fire pit at night as a family, talking and star gazing! Ordering logs was really simple using the QR code on our pitch. The campsite owner, Philip, was really friendly and made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. We will definitely be back and have been telling our friends and family about the site.

Lovely location, plenty of space for our group to play around the tents. Facilities were basic but clean and the washing up area was undercover - handy as it was very wet when we stayed. Helpful, friendly owner who was around on the Friday evening to check everyone was ok and could offer advice. I'd love to return for longer to explore the area more. Thanks.

Great little place for our little one's first time camping! Added bonus of seeing llamas, alpacas and camels! Facilities, although basic, are clean and the owners are very helpful.

We had a very pleasant stay at Tomkins. The owner was friendly and helpful. We had a pitch near the toilet/shower/washing up block so it felt a bit busy - I imagine the pitches further down the hill were a bit quieter. The quality of the facilities was absolutely fine (I’d seen some bad reviews). Lovely walk to the local pub. The pub itself was nice, the food was fine but not amazing.

We only stayed one night, what a gem of a find. Easy to locate and as you approach you drive past all the alpacas in the neighbouring field along with sheep, llamas and even 2 camels. Nice flat site surrounded by trees, with basic but clean facilities. Friendly site, coffee van and ice cream van visits, which were popular. Good pub within 10 min walking distance through beautiful fields. Nice touch was a visit from Phillip to check all was okay- very laid back and even said we could stay as long as we wanted on the Sunday, no rush to leave - how refreshing. Highly recommend.
