Just 15 minutes from Cheddar Gorge, Lane End Camping offers a relaxing retreat in the Somerset countryside. Set on a working farm, the site welcomes tent campers across non electric grass pitches, and for those who don't want to bring their accommodation with them, a duo of camping pods. Within easy reach of the coast, Weston-super-Mare, Wookey Hole and the Mendip Hills AONB, this is the ideal base for exploring all that Somerset has to offer!

We were lucky enough to spend a short weekend break at Lane End in a camping pod. Located in a farm at the end of a lane, this is relaxing & quiet location with no neighbours and no noise pollution. The pods are spotlessly clean and look out onto beautiful, rolling hills with horses roaming the fields. Rachel is extremely attentive and left a nice welcome note, dog treats & shortbread biscuits. She also checked in with us morning & night to see we had everything we needed. She also recommend local walks & pubs. I would recommend opting for a fire pit & wood with your stay as this created a lovely atmosphere in the evening and made useful for cooking/BBQs. We will definitely be back!

A much needed break away from the stresses of work, mixed with a little experiment of "camping with the dogs" for the first time! The location was perfect with spectacular views of the famous Cheddar Gorge, the mendips and the most beautiful sunrise. The pod was immaculate with a lovely welcome message, shortbreads for us and biscuits for the pups. The little vase of daisies were a lovely addition. Rachel gave us a warm welcome and a detailed introduction to the site, the facilities and (important to us), the best dog walk routes. The firepit and fire starter kit was spot on, with enough to last evening dinner, brekky and a second evening. Choosing the breakfast baskets (one of each) was a super decision. Fresh and delicious - the strawberries were particularly divine! The first night was blissfully quiet - just us. By the second night, a few more happy campers had arrived. Plenty of room for everyone, lovely people who were all friendly and smiled at you - the whole place just gives off welcoming vibes! Basic, but immaculate facilities. Pristine Pod. No ask too much. Only thing I wish we had done was a tour of the farm and the Alpacas. Next time!! Will return for certain and will recommend to all. Thankyou for sharing your little peice of heaven with us for the weekend! We are thoroughly recharged!

Beautiful scenery, peaceful and calm. A relaxing little getaway with Girlguiding! Fantastic location, even though it's only a stone's throw from home, feels like you're further away! Thank you very much for everything! Amazing!

Camping pod was a game changer, experience of camping in comfort. Beautiful rural location, off grid but with clean facilities. As a female solo camper I felt safe in a location that felt secluded and private. Would definitely recommend, The hosts were very helpful and welcoming.
A lovely place to stay to and to enjoy the beautiful and quiet countryside of Somerset!

We had the most wonderful of times at the Lane End Camping in Brinscombe. Rachel and Dom are the most gracious and helpful hosts you could wish for on your holiday. The spot is very secluded from the outside world and really allows you to unplug. The only other beings that you will come across are other guests or the wide range of lovely animals that are to be found on the farm. You can put up your tent, but can also opt to sleep in the pods, as we did. The pods were very clean, warm and cosy and were perfect for the rainy days on which we visited Lane End. Drinking water is not directly available on the campsite, but a full bottle was provided at arrival and Rachel and Dom were more than happy to bring more when needed or would allow us to fill up empty bottles at their farmhouse. You can embark on beautiful walking routes that start directly from the campsite, that will take you deeper into the mesmerizing English countryside. Furthermore, Cheddar Gorge, Wells (with its impressive cathedral) and Glastonbury are only a fifteen to thirty minute drive away. Rachel and Dom are always a message or a phone call away to provide you with more advice and information on how to make your stay even better than it will already be. We had a lovely time and would definitely come back!

Minimal, but incredibly peaceful and quiet. The camping pods are well insulated and very clean inside - you could easily bring normal bedding instead of sleeping bags without worrying if it will get dirty. Fire pits lovely and easy to cook on. Toilet facilities great for minimalist camping - something we should all be aiming towards in opposition to chemical toilets and polluting showers. Fantastic views of Cheddar Gorge from the veranda of the cabin. There were no other guests when we were there and can't imagine there are ever many. Certainly no screaming kids, generators or masses of camping gear - a welcome change from most other campsites. A wonderful, peaceful, minimalist place to stay. Will definitely be coming back.

Excellent, well-maintained campsite in a quiet and tranquil location. Off grid living. Very friendly and helpful hosts. We got a warm welcome even when we turned up earlier than expected. Only thing to bear in mind is that there is no natural shade so can be a little exposed in the summer sun.

We were lucky enough to find this campsite via a recommendation when another one nearby was full. It's compact with just a handful of tent space and two camping pods. We stayed in a camping pod and from the get-go Rachel was so helpful, communicative and helpful. The campsite is completely flat and well-kept. Facilities are basic - just an eco loo, sink and an outdoor tap but they are well maintained. The site is surrounded by the Mendips and beautiful scenery and our dog absolutely loved it (note, lots of horses grazing nearby so your dog(s) are meant to be on leads. The camping pod was excellent and Rachel was kind enough to leave us some shortbread biscuits, some drinking water and also a fire-pit to use. The fire pit was fabulous and we bought some logs during the booking process which also came with firelighters & kindling so super easy. It w2s my partner's birthday and Rachel also helped me organise getting him a cake from the local bakery - so kind. Cheddar is close by and you can (if enthusiastic) walk 45 mins or so to a good local (The New Inn - highly recommend). Great walks on the coast are 30 mins drive away, and if you prefer the footpaths from the campsite are just as good. An amazing stay that I would highly recommend. Thank you!

I stayed here with my two children and it was so peaceful (yes, even with the children!) and pretty. It was amazing value for money, and the ground was all flat, perfect for pitching the tent! It's located on a beautiful farm, with horses, sheep, pigs, geese and more, which the children loved. Rachel and her husband were very accommodating, friendly and helpful throughout the stay. They gave us some fire wood for the fire pit to get us going with the BBQ, which was beautiful to eat looking out at the views. I will be returning with the kids! We had a blast! Thank you x

We decided to take some time off work and wanted somewhere quiet and peaceful and we were not disappointed. We absolutely loved our stay, the personal touches such as a welcome with our names and some biscuits made it feel very homey. We will definitely be returning. The farm was beautiful and so peaceful, it was perfect.
