very basic with only cold running water and shared loo, but we had the best time! so lovely for the kids to be able to run about freely and not be glued to screens. Owners very friendly and kind. Camping pods small but warm and enough space for all essentials. biscuits in arrival which was a lovely touch ☺️

The site was clean and spacious. It had a gorgeous view overlooking Cheddar Gorge and we had a herd of horses right by our tent. Lane End is a working farm with lots of well cared for animals. We felt right at home and it was so peaceful. Rachel couldn't have been any more helpful and we appreciate your kindness! Highly recommend. 🐴😁

Perfect spot for off grid camping. A lovely farm with friendly hosts who could not be more welcoming. A great addition to a visit to this beautiful area of Somerset - excellent walks (recommend reservoir to Crook Peak loop as well as walks around Cheddar Gorge). The small camping field is charmingly simplistic with a great view of Cheddar Gorge. Nice pubs close by. Highly recommended.

Lovely peaceful site with views from pod across fields to Cheddar Gorge and access to lots of short walks and longer walks along the Mendip ridges. Friendly and welcoming owners. Good local pubby pub (The New Inn at Cross) is an easy flat 3 mile walk across fields.

Excellent place to wild camp and is lovely for the price. The only problem was we had very low cars but the host was excellent to help us get the cars in and out!

Excellent stay for our first camping trip as a young family. One group for the first two nights but enough privacy. Lots of animals on the site to entertain the kids.

Such a lovely campsite local to Bristol. Perfect for families as the site is really safe and enclosed, with lots of lovely animals for the kids to see. Rachel was amazing, great communication, and really so helpful when we arrived.

This is a small, basic site with minimal services. It has a toilet hut with hand basin and dry loo (don't be put off, it works fine). No hot water or shower. There is no drinking water on tap but bottled water is provided, there are also no electrics. It is in a quiet spot with only the sound of goats around. It is a working farm so there is the odd tractor. Very close to Cheddar and Glastonbury, highly recommended for a few nights.

Fantastic little campsite close to Cheddar perfect for exploring the gorge. We stayed in the pod and had a wonderful view over the fields towards the gorge. The owners were very friendly and helpful. Fresh eggs and sausages from the farm are available. Would definitely stay there again.

My two boys and I had a lovely time at Lane End Camping. Rachel greeted us on arrival and shared all we needed to know about our stay. It was great to arrive to shortbread and drinking water with an offer to refill the water whenever needed. We stayed in one of the two pods which was perfect for us, the boys loved it. We paid a small amount extra to use a fire pit with a metal rack, perfect for cooking on. The campsite is well positioned between Cheddar and Glastonbury with plenty to do. The farm has a calm, peaceful and welcoming atmosphere with beautiful views. We would definitely recommend.

My partner and I had a really peaceful 2 day's. It was a remote farm with amazing views of the Gorge when the sky was clear. I was lucky enough to feed a beautiful little lamb whilst I was there. Rachel was absolutely amazing! We can't wait to come back.

Very friendly and welcoming, set on a beautiful farm with views in the distance to Cheddar Gorge. We had the site to ourselves. We visited Berrow Sands, Cheddar Gorge and had dinner at a pub in Axbridge. Lovely weekend and thank you for giving us tape when our pole snapped.

The hosts were very friendly and let us know about some of the shops, pubs and walks in the area. The pods were beautiful and clean. They even left some locally made shortbreads for us in the pod and with the logs were firelighters and kindling.

Amazing view of Cheddar Gorge from the pod, with beautiful fields all around and lots of animals for our toddler to find and count. The pod was surprisingly warm and 100% dry - just what was needed during a rainy few days. The eco toilet was clean and was shared between just a few camping plots. We were invited to walk around and look at the animals on the farm and we were kindly offered the chance to meet some of the new-born lambs, which we all really enjoyed. Wellies were definitely required (as advised by our hosts), which was to be expected, given all of the recent rain! Our toddler loved wandering about across the grass, along the tracks, into the mud…

Absolutely wonderful place to stay! Super friendly and helpful. Also, when we were having trouble with our tent, the owner went above and beyond to help us out! We were very happy surrounded by such beautiful countryside.

Magical situation. Fabulous service. Immaculate pods. We had a very wet visit so it was very muddy and it is a working farm, so it was to be expected, but we'd have been in trouble without our wellies!

Found these little pods for a mini motor touring break away. Lovely owners. The pods are warm, dry and spacious for one and a load of motorcycle kit, easily big enough for two. The view from the pods looks straight at Cheddar Gorge, easy reach to Wells, Cheddar, Glastonbury, even the seaside at Weston Super Mare if you wanted to! I'm going to book another couple of nights for next year and bring my daughter. I will also book another stay and do a mini motorcycle tour for me again.

Rachel did a lovely job of making us feel welcome and made sure we had everything that we needed. The site is fabulous overlooking Cheddar gorge. We had an amazing weekend partying for my sisters 50th and the site was perfect as it was away from the main house and no-one else in sight. Toilet was an eco friendly one that we all embraced even though none of us had seen one before and it was very clean. My sister is already looking to book again for next year as it was amazing value for money! Thank you for having us!

We visited lane end camping to celebrate my friend's 19th birthday. Rachel and Dom were amazing from the beginning. We were greeted at the entrance and provided with bottles of water and biscuits. The farm was so beautiful, scenic and serene. There were so many horses and various animals and we were able to explore the land. We were able to park next to the tents, set up where we wanted to in the field and enjoy our evening celebrating. Although there were no showers, we were prepared for that as it was stated on the website and the toilet facilities were very clean and suitable. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to have a peaceful getaway or have a get together with friends as both are possible.

Me and my family really enjoyed our weekend here. Rachel and her husband were very kind and thoughtful, with biscuits on arrival and Dom (sorry if I got the name wrong!?) showed our 1 year old all around the different animal pens. They were both generous with their time. The pitch is in a lovely, secluded location with fab views. Tranquil, peaceful and we woke up to nature or hot air balloons each morning, which was just perfect. The eco toilet was all undercover and kept immaculately clean. We were happy with the basic pitch and got exactly what we needed. We are wishing Dom and Rachel all the best luck, strength and love ahead with their little one's arrival.

We stayed here for our first bikepacking trip. We were met with a very warm reception from our host who led us to the camping area and talked us through the facilities, even providing some welcome biscuits. The setting is quiet and beautiful with a lovely view of Cheddar Gorge. The surrounding land was lovely for walking. All in all, a super little site which I'm sure we'll stay at again.
