About Shepherd's Rest
Located on a small family farm, the campsite boasts views over the rolling countryside in the Scottish Borders - explore both Scotland and England, with Northumberland nearby. The farm is run non-intensively, so you can enjoy seeing the wildlife and happy farm animals roaming the fields. Although in a completely rural setting, the site is just 15 minutes from some spectacular unspoilt beaches and the local town of Berwick-Upon-Tweed. Great accessibility too with local train routes to Edinburgh and Newcastle or less than an hour's drive from both. Welcoming campervans and motorhomes up to 6m in length, there is a separate camping area laid out with grass pitches without electric. For those looking for tent pitches, there is another separate area with dedicated grass pitches and a limited number of electric hook ups available. Each pitch has plenty of space for privacy and for allowing kids to play, including large fields where they can explore for hours. For an even more comfortable holiday, there are luxury heated shepherd's huts. Sleeping two, each is equipped with everything you need for a relaxing stay, including a cosy double bed, linen and towels, and a kitchen and dining area with all utensils and crockery. No camping trip is complete without gathering around the fire pit, especially as the dark night skies here are ideal for some stargazing! You can also hire fire pits should you forget your own, as well as purchasing supplies of wood and kindling. Sorry, due to being a working farm with livestock no pets are allowed.
Shepherd's Rest is open from 01/04 to 30/09.
