About Woodland Tipi and Yurt Holidays
The glampsite is a children's haven, with the freedom for little ones to play and explore while the adults relax. In this magical, safe, natural space, families come together and enjoy nature, the stars, walking, animal spotting, exploring, den making, collecting wood, and cooking on an open fire. It's also a romantic space for couples to enjoy, especially with the option of booking a wood-fired hot tub. Or why not book the whole site (or half of the site) for a family get together, or quiet retreat? - both old and young will enjoy the ambience. (No parties or amplified music allowed.) There are 5 yurts, and 3 bell tents spread across the site, in 2 different areas. Yurts sleep 4-6 people, with a max of 4-5 adults. Bells sleep 4-5. They all contain a king sized bed, a woodburning stove, and single foam mattresses on the floor. Furnished with simple furniture, lots of soft rugs, cushions, and some bedding (you will be required to bring your own linen), and with all the extra touches, such as flowers, fairy lights, hot water bottles, firewood, lanterns and tea lights, you are sure to be comfortable, relaxed and warm. Not too far from each tent, you will find either flushing toilets, or composting toilets, hot showers, covered places to sit and eat, and a kitchen area. The 2 shared kitchens have everything you need for a self catering stay, including pots and pans, crockery and cutlery, fridges, ovens, and electrical charging points. Eat your food at the table in the kitchen, or under one of the awnings nearby. The tents are all 'off-grid', but the kitchen and shower blocks have all the mod cons. Please note, there is no WiFi. Outside each tent you'll find a private area with your own hammock, picnic bench, firepit, trivet and a BBQ so you can cook outside and experience the true off-grid camping experience. Or fire up the pizza oven (there are 2 on site) and make your own wood-fired pizzas. There are 2 wood-fired hot tubs available to book. There is also a very large marquee that can be booked separately for retreats, yoga and crafts. The site also makes their own cider, white wine, and sparkling white wine which can be purchased onsite.

Or just soak up the ambience, lie in a hammock, read a book, and listen to the birdsong.
Walk to the river, the pub, or the picturesque Italianate church in Hoarwithy (about a mile away). There's a good circular (approx.3.5 mile) walk that takes in the river, a cafe, the pub, and the church. (Ask on site for directions)

The Forest of Dean is not far, with loads of activities, such as bike hire, walking, climbing, a sculpture trail, and many other visitor attractions.
There are many pubs in the local area for good food, the New Harp Inn at Hoarwithy, and the Cottage of Content at Carey, both of which are within walking distance, if you don't mind the hike up the hill on the way back!
Further afield there's The Royal Hotel in Ross-on-Wye, and the Harewood End Pub in Harewood End.
