Beautiful location, very peaceful site, not far to small beaches. Only negative was push button showers could have stayed on longer.

I spoke to Nicola over the phone before we arrived as I knew we would be late getting to the campsite. She could not have been more helpful. Met her in person the next morning and she could not have been more friendly and accommodating. The site is in a beautiful setting on the hill over looking Falmouth. Very secluded and plenty of space for free range kids.

A lovely view but extremely basic facilities. I wouldn't have minded basic clean facilities if the price matched what was on offer but in this case, we regretted booking two nights as felt we were paying too much. We would not return or recommend in particular. There did not seem to be adequate washing up facilities or any hot water for washing up so for a long stay, this would be a bit of an issue too.

Idyllic campsite on the farm, with clean facilities. I wanted a small campsite in the countryside with simple facilities, near the beach and a pub and that is exactly what I got. There are gorgeous views to the sea, many birds, and incredible stars at night. This is a good spot if you'd like to feel you are 'wild' camping somewhat, but you'd like to do it legally and without hassle. Friendly host who let us know that if we got stuck in the car (it'd been raining heavily) that a tractor would happily come and pull us out!

A beautifully relaxed stay at Penwarne. We were free to select our own pitch and chose one with an amazing view of the sea. In fairness it would be hard to choose one that didn't have an incredible view. The site is very relaxed with few rules and regs, which lends itself to a very peaceful experience. The facilities were basic but everything we needed. We particularly loved the free grazing sheep, which wandered right up to the tents so dogs do have to be very well behaved and under control at all times - our cocker took an initial interest but very soon became used to them and then paid little or no attention to them. The site is a little exposed, on high ground which affords great views but can get a bit windy so be prepared with some extra tent pegs and ropes. We had a wonderful restful stay and would recommend to anyone who wants to get away from it all and we will definitely be returning again. Thank you for sharing your little slice of heaven with us.

The campsite is in a lovely location with beautiful views. The field is enormous so there's plenty of space. The facilities are good, but they need to be cleaned more often.
Wonderful site, family friendly and a very relaxing week!

I visited here in August 2021 with my granddaughters and we all had a wonderful time. The girls made friends, laughed, played, spent time in the fort in the dark and it was safe for them to do this (I could see and hear them). To see them going out in the morning in their pyjamas and wellies, excited to see their friends and coming back in the evening tired but excited for the next day was wonderful - obviously they returned during the day and did get dressed! I felt secure because I could see and hear them which made it a very relaxing holiday for me. We visited again this August (2022) and we all had as much fun. Such a wonderful site - just natural fun and no 'entertainment' except the ones we made ourselves, no noise except for children and adults laughing. The café serves food which is reasonably priced, as too are the lollies. My only concerns are the 'improvements' that the site has made. The shared washing up area with the sinks that are too high (for me and I am 5ft 5) and flood your feet, this area is not in keeping with the rest of the site. The showers and toilets - changed from last year. Not working properly, having to hold some shower buttons or the water would go off. Not a pleasurable experience when you are trying to wash your hair. Cleanliness was pretty poor this year. Lots of toilets shut or blocked. Not as clean as last year. cost seemed to double from last year. I had the same size tent, the same amount of people but I paid £30 per night for a piece of grass (no electricity). I would not hesitate to return to this site as I love it as do the girls. My only concern would be a further rise in cost and a further reduction of services (showers, toilets, cleaning, washing up facilities).

Nothing was too much of a problem and the café on site does amazing pizzas to order.

A site with some good potential (views, play park, cafe (not that we used it) but extremely rough around the edges. Ample facilities but extremely tired and very unclean (we visited a swimming pool one one occasion purely to shower elsewhere). Washing up facilities were ok, but no hot water and no lighting - take a head torch and a full kettle. Pitch wise - some looked great (and the view is wonderful!) but I think we were unlucky with ours as we were next to several very full bins and open drainage near the washing up area. The smell was extremely foul, it did improve slightly part way through our trip once the bins were emptied but was very much still there. Due to the smell alone, we spent trip away from the site and only returned late in the afternoon/evening which was a shame. We also used plug in air fresheners. Lovely little play park for the children and the sheep & calves were a nice attraction (as country bumpkins ourselves we didn't mind the farm smell or roaming sheep but just be mindful there is sheep poo around!) The cost of our trip was very reasonable & 'you get what you pay for' however, the basics really do need a little attention.

I'm hoping they will improve the facilities such as the dish washing area. There is also no hot water and lights at night time.

Facilities could be improved. The site is in a good location with lovely views, although this leaves in exposed to the wind and rain. Very easy going site, pitch anywhere if you don't want electric. The down side is that there is no hot water or lights in the washing up area and the men's washroom is inadequate for the number of people.

Sheep mess everywhere. I felt that the toilet drop was very dangerous. I would not recommend this site.

One of the best value-for-money campsites in the area. The staff were great, facilities were ideal with very generous pitch sizes.

A basic campsite on a working farm. Able to pitch (non electric) wherever we chose which was nice. Lovely views, could be windy. Lambs roaming free (watch out for their mess!), baby calves. You can buy bags of food to feed them. Bottle feed calves daily at 9am or 5pm for £2. Toilet and shower block - very basic and could do with updating, but functional. Free hairdryer. Wet room. Washing machine & tumble dryer for extra charge. Ladies & gents areas separate, washing up area now on the other side of the barn area. Water refill station. Very small play structure, suitable for older children 7+ but there's not really anything for the younger ones. Café & small shop on site open whilst we were there. Fire pits for hire. Walk to the beach is not for very little ones, but is only a 10 minute drive to Maenporth. Falmouth very close by also. All in all, good basic site in a convenient location.

People were friendly and helpful. Pizzas are delicious and the kids were barely seen as they made friends and hung out by the park. A really great stay, centrally located with great views and staff! Kids barely wanted to leave site as they were having so much fun! A really lovely few nights! Thank you.

What a beautiful campsite, fabulous views. Lovely welcome on arrival, owners/staff readily available if any assistance needed. We had an electric hook up and large tent pitch, which was more than adequate in size. Shower block and toilets were kept as clean as possible, despite some users not taking care of the facilities. Washing machine/tumble dryer/freezer and small shop on site. Lovely to stay on a working farm and listen to the sheep nibbling on the grass near your tent at night! Very close to many places to visit, National Trust properties, kayaking, beaches, boat trips, seal sanctuary, donkey sanctuary, eating out. Lovely pubs, all within close proximity. Thank you, we had a wonderful time and will most definitely be back.
Fantastic stay!

I will be the first to admit I was apprehensive about staying here after reading some of the more recent reviews. These suggested the facilities were not cleaned often and were not in good condition. However, having now stayed here for a week in all weathers (it threw it down half the week!) I can confirm this is a campsite, and if you are expecting facilities like in your home then you shouldn't be camping. Yes there were sections of the facilities that were open storage, but this is to be expected. Yes the floors were dirty, but it rained!! What would you expect to happen walking in off a muddy field? The showers were a perfect warmth and cleaned every day from what I could tell, with squeegy mops to clean wetter areas. Yes they were on short timers, but considering there were 6+ showers and the cost of energy is going up I can fully appreciate the need to ensure water isn't left on or wasted. If you don't like touching the floor, wear beach shoes, I did! Toilets were always clean and with toilet roll. If they weren't it's because someone didn't flush (likely a child, I'll be honest) rather than them not being looked after. If there were marks in the basin, these were gone by the next time I went. There was always hand soap to clean your hands and no one was washing up in the ladies toilets, there was even a sign to stop this. Washing up area was as you'd expect, outside. No there wasn't hot water, but it doesn't take much to put the kettle on the gas before you go over. From being genuinely concerned we weren't going to be comfortable on site to spending a day here because it was so comfortable, I can whole heartedly recommend the place. Louise was lovely and so hard working, always on site at the crack of dawn. It's a working farm so exactly what I expected before I delved into the reviews. If you are going to go camping, proper camping, in a tent with minimal electric and a gas cooker on a working farm in South Cornwall, don't expect it to be glamping. Perfect location, lovely hosts and clean facilities. Can't ask for more!
