Fantastic location! Just 10 minutes into central Falmouth and surrounded by beautiful small coves/beaches just a short distance from the campsite. The campsite was very quiet during our stay and very few campers there due to being out of holiday season. Beautiful views from our camper. We had an electric pitch and the pitch sizes are very generous. Had it been busy, we would not have felt like we were on top of the neighbours. As it was quiet, we were able to choose our own pitch. The facilities were clean and suitable. My only recommendation would be to have a drop down table/baby change table in the disabled/accessible wet room. As someone who has medical needs I needed somewhere to put my medical equipment while showering but that is my only advice. The campsite is on a working farm so there is noise from the animals, but this didn't bother us, it was lovely to wake up to every morning. The owners were lovely and very accommodating to us staying an extra night. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others.

Ideal campsite, our only issues were the showers. As a family, we prefer the showers which you can switch on and enjoy, and not have to press after 30 seconds for water.

An amazing stay, great facilities that were regularly cleaned. Fire pit hire was a big plus with logs and kindling provided too which made for two great evenings. Simon and Nicola were lovely and very helpful. Nice proximity to Falmouth/walks/activities.
Great campsite!

Amazing view to start. Simon and his wife were absolutely great, nothing was too much trouble. We had a blow out in our car 5 miles away from the site and Simon took me to the car to get it recovered afterwards and even gifted us a fire pit for a night too as we could not collect our gas. Beautiful beaches close by and if you talk to Simon or his wife, they will point you in the right direction of the best walks. We will definitely be back 😊

We love this site. Great views of the sea during the day and far enough from light pollution that you get wonderful starry nights too. Nicola and Simon are charming hosts who remembered us from last year and took their time to enquire after us on multiple occasions. They've been busy here. They're now offering stone-baked pizzas multiple nights a week and are in the process of upgrading the launderette facilities. I'm sure they have other plans too. We had some noisy neighbours one night, but they dealt with that really well too. The site is clean, comfortable, with nice big pitches and within easy reach of Falmouth and some lovely beaches. Really child-friendly too with play equipment and animals to interact with. It would be nice to have some indoors equipment for those rainier nights - perhaps a table tennis table or some games in part of the covered hangar? - but that's me just fishing for a suggestion. Our whole family has no doubts in highly recommending Penwarne. We'll be back!

We had a wonderful stay at Penwarne and would return anytime. Nicola and her husband and Farmer Paul are around to ask anything you need and are constantly checking toilets, showers and bins. A lovely campsite which suited our needs, great fire pits to rent and very friendly atmosphere on site. Would come back anytime we are in the area!

Lovely welcome, fabulous views and great facilities. But also, pizza on site was delicious. Fire pit was an extra bonus.

We've stayed at Penwarne a few times as it is a great location and not too formal. The pitches all face the view, and are of a good size. The facilities are functional, and often muddy but clean and free to use so that's fine for us. There are washer/dryer, freezer and wet room for use, as well as good washing up facilities. The play area is a big hit with the kids, as were the sheep, pony and foal. We stayed in order to use the nearby beaches, with an extended group of family. Evening BBQs and fires and on-site pizzas made evenings just as nice as the daytimes. Storm Betty was less fun so we came home a day early, but there's nothing the campsite can do about that!
A wonderful stay, with very helpful staff, we look forward to staying again next year for our 4th year

A lovely site which is unspoilt, stunning views and a quiet site to suit anyone wanting to get away from the hustle and bustle of life. The site has the facilities that are required and are kept clean. Nothing is too much problem for Nicola and Simon and they are friendly and approachable. I found NIcola adding tent pegs to my tent when the wind had picked up - amazing and much appreciated service. The site is safe for children, they have a small play area but this is the 'hub' for all ages of children and it is safe for them to play out late into the evening. The site has a small shop which provides milk, ice creams, lollies, cans and gin (the gin is locally made and is fantastic!). The icecreams/lollies are reasonably priced at £1 each. Fire pits can be hired and stone baked pizzas are available 3 nights per week - they are absolutely stunning and well worth the price, you can choose to make changes to the toppings if required. This is our third year staying at this site and we will definitely be visiting again next year. Sometimes there are calves on site and this year there were a mother and her foal - children can pet and feed them. Sheep sometimes roam freely when they escape their area of the field. Campers respect the no noise after 10.30pm so everyone gets a good nights sleep. I can't rate this site highly enough, a thoroughly enjoyable and natural camping site that allows you to enjoy the countryside and enjoy the view of the sea at the same time.

We arrived early and had a text at 5am telling us the pitch numbers and if they were empty to carry on setting up. The electric pitches are really level and the toilet and washing faciliies are cleaner than most hotels we have stopped in. It's very central to the three main beaches and the staff on site we really polite and helpful. We will definitely recommend and re visit. Had a really nice stay, thank you.

We enjoyed our weekend break trying out our new tent. Lovely location and views. All the facilities you needed but could do with more in high season. The showers and toilets could be cleaner. Friendly owners and we enjoyed the pizzas on the Saturday night!

Where to start, Nicola and team are fabulous. The campsite is kept clean and tidy. The bathrooms are kept as clean as they can be kept. The kitchen area is an amazing size .Can you believe they have a washing machine and tumbler for campers use and a reasonable price. They sell fresh pizzas some nights, they were fabulous. Now for the view WOW, you go to sleep with the view of the sea and wake to it again in the morning. When we decide to comeback to this end of Cornwall we will definitely come back here. Thank you so very much for making us feel so welcome. See you again soon.
Nice enough location but facilities fall short

This site has lovely views but that's where the positives end. As a campsite, the standards of the most basic facilities just let it down badly - by this, I mean cold showers with low power and a frustratingly short five second water burst with each button press, dirty toilet and shower block, and a disgusting excuse for an "Elsan point" which was just poor - if you allow caravans to stay, provide the proper facilities for them! Also, no hot water in pot wash area and one washing machine and dryer for the entire site. There are others waiting for a card machine apparently, however, I read previous reviews and they've been waiting a long time for those. The children's play equipment is also poor considering so many families that must want to camp.
Not the greatest

If you don't mind lots of noise, then this is the place for you! There was shouting, music and the sound of blowing up air beds very late into the evening. There were swarms of wasps and children seemed to be upsetting the horse and foal. The showers and toilets were basic, but it was difficult to get children ready after a shower. I would recommend installing a bench or shelf, which I think would really help. The shop also wasn't open, which was a real disappointment. Not somewhere I would return to, we left early.

I would highly recommend this site. All good size pitches and well looked after. The owners here genuinely don't stop and are on hand for any questions/help needed. I was even unlucky enough to be in a car accident while visiting Cornwall and the hire car was sent to the wrong address, which the owner Nicola located for me. All the facilities were in good working order and clean and everyone on site stuck to the site rules, which made for a better stay. Also I would like to mention the dedication of the owners here as once they were notified of some tents getting into difficulty, they came to the pitch and did their best to rectify the situation as the owners of the tent had gone out for the day - you really are in safe hands.

Absolutely beautiful location…you pay for what you get. Great value for money and really big electric pitches, we were really impressed. Wasn't overly priced so didn't have high expectations for the cleanliness of the showers/ toilet block. Facilities for the bins could be better managed as there wasn't a lot of space for waste. The only downfall was there were a lot of wasps, but that's mother nature for you! Would stay again.
Lovely view but very noisy campers

The site is an open field with a lovely sea view but is quite exposed so in bad weather, the tents get a battering. The shower and toilet facilities were big and cleaned regularly but because they were busy, they often ran out of toilet paper. Pitches are a good size but we felt quite penned in on the electric hook up. Non electric had loads of space so if you don't need to plug in, you'll be able to spread out. Unfortunately our stay was ruined by very noisy, inconsiderate campers who were very loud until late at night (2am, despite the campsite 'quiet time' being 10.30). The owners did try and resolve this by speaking to them, but sadly it made no difference and we had the same again on our last night.

Nice site. A bit expensive, chemical loo disposal was very poor and no hand washing facility at the point. A brilliant view close to Falmouth but no shop bar or available on the site.

Lovely field with sea views near Falmouth and all that has to offer. Nicola was a welcoming host. Facilities were just ok: toilets and showers had hot water but were only cleaned twice in the week we stayed and dish washing sinks had only cold water. Electricity hook-ups available and Small Playground for kids. There is an indoor space if it's raining and a washing machine and fridge freezer but they are in the ladies' toilets. Laundrette was installed but not working.

Second time on this campsite. We love it. Lovely views, kind owners, good facilities. Also a building where you can rest and play when it is raining. Hope to come back again.

A lovely place to stay. Quiet, well-equipped and stunning views. We stayed here because we were meeting up with my brothers at Helford Passage, which was a nice 20-minute bike ride away. There is a really good local shop in Mawnan Smith (fantastic pasties) and some excellent walks direct from the site. Can't recommend it enough.
