My partner and I stayed for 2 nights over the Bank Holiday weekend. There were air cadets and D of E students staying on one side of the field and the rest was available for paying campers. Facilities on the site were split for paying guests and D of E students, which was great as there was never a wait for a shower! Showers are modern and in completely separate rooms/cubicles and were always clean. There are two large pot wash areas with plenty of sinks and space. During our stay there was a 'Butty Box' van which sold hot food (mainly breakfast cobs in the morning and chips in the evening), coffee van (which sold coffee, hot chocolate and waffles) and also a pizza van present - so plenty of choice if you don't want to cook! Also 2 fantastic pubs less than a 10 min walk from the campsite (definitely worth booking a table for food ahead of your arrival as they are very busy at times!). In addition to all of that, there are a group of peacocks that freely wander the top of the site (never strayed into the camping field) and the staff are very polite and helpful. Overall, a lovely stay. We will definitely be coming back!
Another fabulous stay

So nice to be able to visit with all the facilities open this year, having visited in April 21 when facilities were still closed. Barn Farm is well kept, well equipped and in a great location for walking and visiting local attractions. Thanks for a great stay and for your flexibility when our car broke down and we needed to check in a night early due to borrowing a tow car! See you and the peacocks again soon!
Brilliant!

Brilliant stay. Great location and a really well thought out site with interesting walks and games etc., plus the added bonus of beautiful peacocks wandering around!

Lovely clean site, well maintained, amazing location and brilliant staff. Some pitches are uneven so be prepared if you have a caravan.
Second visit - just as good as the first time!

Lovely place, would recommend! The only criticism is, the little shop was closed even though it was Saturday midday - bit strange ๐

This is the best campsite weโve ever been to. The top field was the perfect pitch for the kids. We had clear view of both the play area and the games area so the kids could roam free without us ever loosing site of them.
Hidden gem - beautiful

Hidden gem that I want to keep a secret but equally share with friends as itโs such an amazing place. Clean, spacious, beautiful setting with plenty of walks to do right from the campsite.

Stayed here with my husband, 7 year-old daughter and the in-laws. Initially when we went to book in we were told that we hadn't paid in full (which we had and showed bank statement) and then we're told to just go and find a pitch on the field (despite booking electric hardstanding). Anyway, all got sorted and we managed to get 2 pitches next to each other overlooking the field and the views were to die for. The pitches are not flat so had to use our wood and chocks etc but again, it's in the middle of nowhere so not grumbling. The site was so clean and staff lovely. Got woken up most mornings by the peacocks but it was lovely. Showers behind reception were probably up there with the best showers on sites we have been to. They were thermostatic and stayed on until you turned them off. Had some lovely walks round the area, we had a walk round Bakewell. Great park for kids too. We will defo be going back ๐๐๐ป

What a fantastic place this turned out to be. Family friendly, peaceful and the views all around are up there with the best - home and abroad! Most campsites are well kept and tidy, but everything here is above and beyond. The ONLY thing worth mentioning is take plenty of chocs because the hard standing pitches are on quite a slope.

Welcoming staff, very clean and well maintained, excellent facilities. Very nice location for peace and quiet. The only negative is the field as unless you're at the bottom of it, everything is on a slope.

A fabulous family friendly site. Location is beautiful, plenty of walks on your doorstep or very short drive to Bakewell. Local pub which looked great albeit we didn't get round to visiting. Plenty of showers with hot water and lots of toilets. Incredibly clean and well kept, only hope this remains in high season as we were there at the beginning of the season over the Easter weekend. Great children's play area and really nice touch having children's games on the grass. Only ruined by someone kicking the inflatable dice and popping it and ruining it for the children. Peacocks roam the site which is great but they can be a tad noisy at night. This being said, you are in the countryside so animal noises go with the territory! Genuinely impressed by this site and would definitely return! Have recommended to friends already!
Fantastic site.

Amazing site, excellent friendly staff. Loads for everyone to do, including kids. The staff were always happy to help, no matter what you asked. The site was very clean and had loads of pot wash areas and showering facilities. It was very well thought out.

I've got to say I love how clean the facilities are, perfect location, beautiful views, perfect for what we wanted, but if you're going, take ear plugs because as beautiful as the peacocks are, they're rather chatty ๐ still wouldn't put us of coming again though!

Stayed for Easter Bank Holiday. Site was lovely and clean all weekend and I never saw a drop of litter. Staff were always friendly and approachable. Showers behind reception are very spacious and lovely and warm. Could be a little more powerful but that's my only gripe. 2 pubs within walking distance. There are plenty of walks nearby but we stayed onsite throughout our stay. Will definitely be back again - was great value for money.
Outstanding as always!

Barn Farm always amaze me when I go back in terms of service, standards and friendliness. I always forget how absolutely everything is catered for on site, we forgot our power bank, but chargers on site and the use of the fridge and freezer goes a long way. Soooo clean as always and was really quiet (probably because it had snowed the week before!), and so we had stunning weather and it was like a little community even with the peacocks! The dogs loved it. Thank you once again for your very high standards. We have booked for the Jubilee Weekend so we look forward to the party!!
