About Colliford Lake Park Campsite
Owned by a husband and wife team, this site is a lovely section of moorland, ideal for low impact wild camping. The site is centrally located between Cornwall's enticing north and south coasts, just 40 minutes in the car from gems like Looe and Padstow. It's all down to the fact that although you're in a remote location which feels like it couldn't be further from the urban world, it's also only a few minutes from the A30. You'll find 20 acres of space on site with unmarked pitches and private direct access to the 1,000 acre lake. All of the unmarked grass pitches are non-electric. In this simple, relaxed space you have freedom to be yourself, but the owners are still on hand if you need anything - just ask!
Open from 5 April to 1 November
There are 20 accommodation options on-site
20 x Lakeview Grass Pitches
Pitches are situated on a headland which has two natural levels. These offer a choice of semi wild and really wild camping experiences.

Things to do on site and in the Liskeard area
The lake is an unmissable trout and fly fishing destination, where you can fish until October with a permit in luxurious tranquillity. You might even take home a 9lb 8oz brown trout, as one lucky soul did, so it's well worth bringing your rod on holiday.
The moor is an iconic Dark Sky setting where the sky puts on an incredible show, thanks to low levels of light pollution. You're in prime position to see it all, whether you're an experienced astronomer or an interested newcomer.
Of course, it's not just at night that you'll be keen to explore. Bodmin is the place to try pony trekking or even ride an alpaca with the family. The wildlife is simply incredible and there's something to catch your eye wherever you go.
You could pedal off into the distance to find your own adventure, or put your best foot forward on the Copper Trail which extends over 60 miles in a circular and stunning journey. But, if you're feeling puffed out just thinking about it - you'll love the 'I Walk Cornwall', a route which can be extend between 2 and 6 miles to suit any level.
In total, you'll find more than 200 things to see and do within a 45 minute journey time including both Cornish coastlines and their gorgeous beaches.
