Newhouse Farm Wild Camping is an off-grid campsite hidden in the Goodwood Estate, 20 minutes from Chichester. The site offers unmarked non-electric pitches for tents and motorhomes, as well as two bell tents for hire. With footpaths running directly from the farm to the South Downs Way and nearby pubs serving great food, it's an ideal option for a relaxing group getaway - dogs included!

About Newhouse Farm Wild Camping

Set on a working farm with beautiful views over the South Downs National Park landscape, this off-grid site is a great option for friends, families or solo travellers looking to swap the everyday stresses of city living for a slower pace of life. Campers have their pick of non-electric grass pitches dotted around the perimeter of the field, leaving a large open space in the middle for playing games. These pitches are suitable for tents or motorhomes and are dog-friendly. If you're keen to skip the hassle of putting up a tent, there are also two bell tents for hire. The basic bell tent is unfurnished and sleeps up to six people, while the standard bell tent is furnished with four camp beds, a hessian carpet and a fire pit. Please bring bedding and camping equipment. The South Downs are part of the Dark Sky Reserve, so expect dramatic starry displays while you cosy up around your campfire. In keeping with this, you'll need to bring a strong torch for midnight toilet trips as much of the site is unlit. Being part of the Goodwood Estate, you're well situated for visiting the many events hosted at the racecourse. motor circuit and festival site, all of which are 15 minutes away. Dogs are welcome onsite but not in the bell tents, sorry! Campfires and BBQs are permitted as long as they're raised from the ground.

Open from 12 April to 29 September
