Wake up and gaze out over the coast at Sea View Campsite, nestled between Salcombe and Dartmouth this quiet site is a great spot for a coastal getaway away from the crowds. The level camping field offers grass pitches, including some with electric. There is plenty of space for games and even a dedicated dog exercise field. The Blue Flag beach of Blackpool Sands is 15 minutes away and Slapton is five minutes away with a sandy beach and pubs!

About Sea View Campsite
This peaceful, family-run farm campsite is a quiet spot in the South Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, surrounded by scenic landscapes and sea views. Enjoy evenings sat around the communal fire pit, or bring your own and gaze up at the starry night sky. The level camping field offers spacious grass tent pitches, some with 10 amp electric hook up. Please note that the site is not suitable for larger motorhomes due to the narrow lanes surrounding the site. Slapton Sands Beach is just a five minute drive away with Slapton Ley Nature Reserve close by, a natural freshwater lake and a great spot for a countryside walk. There are a variety of secluded coves as well as award winning beaches within easy reach too, from Hope Cove to the Blue Flag Blackpool Sands. Wander through the fields towards Slapton village with The Queen's Arms and Tower Inn pubs serving tasty meals. Continue onto the beach and South West Coast Path or relax back at the site and enjoy listening to the resident skylarks whilst you watch the little ones run and play. There is also a fully equipped static caravan onsite. Firepits and BBQs are welcome as long as they are raised from the ground and safety rules are followed. Dogs are welcome and there are even fields to exercise them, but they must be kept on a lead whilst on the rest of the site.
Sea View Campsite is open from 19/05 to 14/09.
Facilities include ten toilets and four coin-operated showers that uses a 20p coin for five minutes of hot water.
There is also a communal kitchen area with four washing up sinks with free hot water, a microwave, fridge and a freezer for ice blocks. There are acres of space for ball games and kite flying and dogs have an 11 acre separate exercise field.
Slapton village is a five minute drive or 20 minute walk away and has a shop for picking up the essentials and two pubs for meals out.

Things to do on site and in the Dartmouth area
The historic naval town of Dartmouth (20 minutes) is a great family day out with its steam railway, port and the Royal Regatta in August. Salcombe is 30 minutes in the other direction and is a pretty seaside town with beautiful sandy beaches and a great range of charming shops and restaurants.
If you're a history fan you can learn about the area's rich history and heavy involvement in the World War Two practices with the Americans practising landings on the nearby beaches. You can still see the Sherman Tank in one of the car parks as a reminder.
The campsite itself was used as an exercise in constructing an airfield during the D-Day landing rehearsals. An iron age ring ditch enclosure was once situated in the top field.
To keep the little ones occupied head to one of the natural coves so you can sunbathe as you watch the children fish, play, go crabbing and build sandcastles. Hope Cove and Thurlestone are both nearby and are great spots to escape the crowds.
