Nice campsite but noisy peacocks

We stayed here for two nights, the facilities were good and very clean. Lots for the kids to do. Lots of outdoor activities for kids, which was great. The only reason we wouldn't stay here again was the peacocks who started at about 4am each morning and didn't really stop until about 8am.

Amazing stay and couldn't have asked for anymore for my first camping experience. The camp site was well maintained. The shower blocks were clean and no long queues. Loved the added benefit of the adults only block of showers. The toilets were always well stocked. It was bank holiday weekend so they had a whole host of activities and bands playing in the evening which made for a lovely atmosphere. Even though the campsite was full, everyone was very respectful and it was easy to get off to sleep in the evenings. The camp was located close to Bakewell and had lovely walks within a short distance. We also found a local wild water swimming spot. Would 100% recommend and likely to come back!

We returned for the second time and will be back again. It’s beautifully green and the peacocks ensure the children have treasured memories for life. The park is great. My daughter hardly left it in two days. I’ve always felt very safe here as the security guards do regular tours. Also the camp is super clean and tidy. A highlight is the Druid Inn pub nearby and the nine ladies stone circle.

Fantastic stay, great facilities and friendly staff. Entertainment all weekend was amazing. Can recommend but being loads of milk as I ran out. I went to the shop for some at 8am and they had sold out 🤪

Love our stays at Barn Farm. It has so much to keep the kids and adults entertained! Great toilet and shower facilities and plenty onsite. Can't wait for our return!
Good facilities but overcrowded

The campsite itself was pretty good but I felt that it was a bit overcrowded. There wasn't much space left in the field for the children to run around or to play a ball game. The entertainment provided in the evening was ok but a bit too loud for people who did not want to take part. However, all the facilities were very good and clean.

Brilliant campsite with excellent facilities! All of the staff were friendly and did an excellent job keeping the site very clean! Myself, my husband, and 2 young children (2 & 6 years) stayed with a group of friends with their partners and children and we would definitely stay again - Thank you!

We went on a very busy Bank Holiday weekend, and as we're new to camping, found it quite noisy. That's our fault, not the site! They had so many facilities, play areas and games for the kids and a fantastic live band each night. Like a mini festival. The man in reception was so helpful and even opened up the shop when we had forgotten a vital piece of our stove. Saw lots of cleaning and it felt well run and safe for little ones. Also peacocks in the trees, what more could you ask for!
Fantastic time thanks

Usual fab experience. Made extra special with entertainment on site. Which was fun for the kids particularly. Oh, and the scorching weather was a bonus! Thanks.

This was our 2nd visit to Barn Farm and it didn't disappoint. The service is great with very clean facilities to make camping life comfortable. There was an extra w/c cabin to accommodate the number of people attending the bank holiday event, which was brilliant for adults and children. Our last visit was without a scheduled event but there is still plenty to do for all ages. Surrounded by stunning countryside and popular towns a short distance to travel is convenient but the on-site store caters for forgotten items. Highly recommend.
Awesome Bank Holiday stay as always

The staff are friendly and professional at all times. The cleanliness is awesome. Facilities are great, albeit I wish the sauna had been working this weekend. Top job!

We return every year for our first camping trip of the season and it never disappoints. Fabulous campsite and they go above and beyond to provide family fun entertainment over the bank holiday weekend. Great location for local walks with young kids and dogs exploring Stanton moors. Great hot free showers and site shop always has everything you need. Although the fields are on a hill there are always flat enough areas to find to pitch up.
Great campsite, with everything you need.

For somewhere so reasonable, the facilities were great - very clean and spacious. Staff were very friendly and approachable, happy to help. The campsite itself was lovely and in a brilliant location close to Matlock and Bakewell. All of the events were extremely reasonably priced and the set up for the coronation was brilliant. There was so much for the children to do and it was great how they did different things on different days. Barn Farm is just a genuinely nice place to be which we I would highly recommend and will definitely be returning to, so much so we've just booked to go on the next bank holiday!

We had a brilliant weekend at Barn Farm on May Bank Holiday weekend. Came with a family group, the campsite was extra busy, but the staff were amazing to accommodate everyone. We never waited a long time for toilets or showers. We had the extra bonus of some bands playing over the weekend, who were really good. The kids all had a great time.

Just had a lovely three night break here. I normally go for quiet sites and was a bit shocked to find out there was a bank holiday event going on - it was extremely busy however the site was kept clean and tidy throughout. Everyone appeared to abide by the quiet times and there were plenty of toilets. I was very impressed with the organisation and management of this site in such a beautiful part of the world with loads of walks from the site.
Lovely site - no complaints here

Lovely little site - hadn't realised there was a mini bank holiday festival here when we booked but this was a bonus for us; didn't mind a bit of music etc but was obviously much busier than we expected, so a slightly different break than we were expecting. Facilities clean and were being cleaned all the time - a little shop for essentials and a pool table and badminton for the teen! The village is lovely, with a couple of nice pubs and the scenery is beautiful. Staff were friendly and even though the festival was on, the noise after 11 was minimal. No complains about the site! Being a bank holiday, all the local towns were heaving and parking was a nightmare - wish we had looked into buses as spent far to long in the car! An enjoyable stay all round.
We will be back
