About Mr Moo's Touring Park

Mr Moo's Touring Park is well situated to explore the undiscovered region of Holderness or north along Yorkshire's stunning coastline and wild moorlands of the North York Moors National Park. Explore the hauntingly beautiful Burton Agnes Hall or browse the well stocked shops in the ancient market town of Beverley. The area has plenty of historic sights to visit, countryside to explore or museums to wander through. A walk leads down through the mixed woodland, along field boundaries to the cliff top at Withow Gap, a Site of Special Scientific Interest, with the cliff face revealing an ancient lake bed. At low tide, it's possible to walk for miles along the beach in either direction. The farm is home to a small herd of Saler cattle who you will see as you walk along the farmwalk, and as the farm is mainly pasture there is plenty of wildlife too, for example resident barn owls swooping low at dusk or the pair of buzzards that nest close by. From the beach you can watch the gannets and terns feeding as the tide comes in or if you are lucky a common seal or two. Dogs are welcome too but must be kept on leads at all times and any mess must be cleared up and binned. Two areas of the site are separated by a belt of woodland - Percy's Paddock (an adults only area) and Eleanor's Meadow which is suitable for families. Both of these offer grass pitches, with the option of electric. The grass pitches are well spaced and with the surrounding woodland, provides an ideal suntrap. The farm walk is accessible from both areas of the park. Percy's Paddock even has fully serviced pitches which include all the connections you need - grass, fresh water and grey water along with electric. The park is a superb place to get away from the stresses of a busy life and enjoy the tranquility of this beautiful seaside location.

Mr Moo's Touring Park is open from 22/03 to 31/10 in 2024 and from 01/04 to 02/11 in 2025.

Facilities and amenities

Individual shower and toilet facilities are onsite and chemical disposal points, recycling facilities and rubbish points are all provided.

Mr Moo's Ice Cream Parlour and Coffee Shop is adjacent to the park and is the home to the award wining ice cream which is made here on the farm. The café is open for ice creams, of course, as well as drinks, cakes and light meals. Ice cream can also be purchased to eat in the comfort of your own van!

A farm walk leads from the site through woodland down to the cliff top and at low tide, a long sandy beach. There is a request bus stop outside the site. Half a mile south of Skipsea village which has a pub, post office and shop.

VW-Type Campervan - Electric Grass Pitches (Family Area)Sep 2024

Lovely site, with attentive owners. Quiet location. Generous pitches. The owner let us borrow an extra long power lead as ours was too short. Thank you.

Single Axle Caravan - Fully Serviced Hardstanding Pitches (Adult-Only) Sep 2024

Wonderfully positioned site with the rarest of things on this stretch of the East Coast, direct access to the beach. Spacious well maintained super-pitches, all facilities clean and well lit, and site security taken seriously. Plus, the bonus of an ice-cream parlour and cafe in situ, what more can there be?

Immaculate place

Single Axle Caravan - Electric Hardstanding Pitches (Adult-Only) Sep 2024

What else could you ask for. Such a lovely quiet place. It was close to the beach and with everything you could want. Excellent for dogs too. The warden was amazing. Nothing was too much trouble and always around to help.

For days out there is the wonderful Yorkshire coast to explore, the nature reserves at Spurn Point or RSPB Bempton Cliffs. The North York Moors are accessible, ideal for walking, cycling and home to the North York Moors Steam railway steam train which runs from Pickering to Whitby.

The stately homes of Burton Agnes, Burton Constable and Castle Howard are not far away. Further afield the cities of York and Hull make for an interesting visit with their museums, theatres and of course shopping!

This region has castles and ruins aplenty, from Skipsea's own castle motte to the the castles of Helmsley and Scarborough and abbey ruins of Byland and Rievaulx.
