Polzeath is a magical place and one of the most spectacular surfing beaches in Cornwall. It is family safe with RNLI lifeguards on duty daily from Easter to September. There's a surfer school where anyone can learn how to ride the waves! The point at Polzeath is within walking distance of the campsite where you can enjoy a round of golf, the gym or the spa.
For those committed to beachy activity there are two surf shops where you can hire or buy everything you will need to surf, body board or paddleboard together with high fashion options for all the family.
For Doc Martin fans be sure to tour Port Isaac just around the corner, and re-live the great scenes of the show. Celebrated TV chefs Rick Stein and Nathan Outlaw have establishments in Padstow and Rock, so it would be rude not to try their cooking out!
There are so many places to visit and see during your stay, Rock being the closest, renowned among the rich and famous for great sailing and water sports.
Golfers are spoilt for choice too with either St Enodoc or The Point close at hand. From Rock you can take the ferry across to Padstow. Rugged Bodmin Moor, The Eden Project, the Lost Gardens of Heligan and the surfing Mecca of Newquay are all just a short drive away. Truro is an ancient city and a visit to St Ives is also a must.
