We have had an amazing stay at Celtic Campsite!! Scenic panoramic sea views in the perfect location for what we wanted to do during our stay. Facilities were fantastic, very clean too! All staff were so polite and helpful, from the catering staff to the office staff nothing was too much trouble. Such a chilled campsite which made for a nice atmosphere for all campers. We will 100% be staying here again and we will be recommending this campsite to our friends and family too! Thank you to all the staff, you all do a brilliant job.

A stunning location for sure, which initially made up for the basic facilities provided in the Blue Lagoon field. Sadly ruined over the weekend when huge groups turned up and facilities were really not adequate - one male and female toilet with running water for the whole field, portaloos with no chemical in as an alternative, several of which became full and had to be closed. Hot water in the showers were not working on more than one occasion and generally dirty and unpleasant. Did not see a cleaner come once. Also, we were amazed they allow loud music and burning of campfires in one of the driest summers on record - a potential fire hazard and damaging to this beautiful area. Would not recommend.
Site's response
Thank you for leaving feedback regarding your trip Vicki, which we always take on-board with a view to looking at how we can improve to experience for campers on site. When guests check in at reception on arrival, we try and give enough information to guests regarding the site to allow them to decide where may best suit them. Normally as part of this, we would explain that the Blue Lagoon field is really all about the views and that the facilities in that field are more basic than the rest of the site so that this manages the expectations, but that obviously they can still come down and use the more established facilities in the main campsite. That said, we appreciate that during the busy times, and given the popularity of the field, the facilities were under strain at times and certainly this is something that we are looking to develop and improve in advance of Summer 2023. Regarding the campfire situation, we did monitor this situation carefully and put a temporary ban on the use of BBQ's and campfires on site on a couple of occasions when necessary. However, we also appreciate that being able to have a controlled fire in a small fire pit is an enjoyable part of the camping experience for many guests so when we felt it was safe, we did allow this but with a little guidance to campers regarding safety etc. The fact that we had no incidents on site is testament to this. We are sorry to hear that you were disturbed by loud music during your stay. The owner, Ian, is always fastidious in his efforts to ensure all campers are happy and enjoying themselves, whilst being considerate of others around them, and will 'do the rounds' throughout the evening and into the early hours to monitor music levels and have a quiet word with groups who are maybe a little too loud. We are sorry that this was not your experience. Many thanks for coming to stay with us and we very much hope that you may revisit at some point in the future. Chris.

1st time staying there and it was excellent. Site shop is a little overpriced, but aren't they all. Toilets and showers were always clean with loo roll. Great access to the coast path and local beaches. Will definitely return 100%. The toilet cassette wash area could do with a hose on the tap to make washing out a bit easier. If you are looking for a site that is close to all the modern trappings of life, this is not for you, if however you are looking to set up turn of all electrics and get away from it all, this is definitely the place for you. Kids had a great time exploring, loved it. They have washing machines, tumble driers, microwaves, fridges freezers that you can use free of charge, WiFi if you need it and serve food daily. I could go on forever, get down there and try it out for yourselves.

Excellent park ... please can we ask if we can store our RV over winter with you and price that would include as we liked this, very much especially with my dad who is disabled with wheelchair.

Lovely stay in a beautiful location! Campsite has plenty of space and you could pick your own spot! Facilities were fantastic. You had access to kettles, microwaves, fridge, freezer, washing machine, sinks and chill seating areas with WiFi! Showers and toilets were pleasant, but could do with more regular maintenance and cleaning, and possible upgrading as décor looked a little shabby and worn, but it didn't affect use whatsoever! Staff were polite and friendly and were very informative. We went as a couple, but there were families with children. Although, there wasn't a huge amount for children to do, as there was no play areas or entertainment.
Beautiful views, great canpsite

Great campsite. Also a bunk bar so lots of extra facilities, including hot water urn and indoor eating spaces, and breakfast and evening meals on some days. Friendly staff. Great views on all pitches, but and open coastal campsite so very windy. Shop and wood available. Loads to do from the site and close by. We've had a lovely holiday.

Budget campsite with poorly trained staff on arrival. Very noisy at night due to music from group parties. I think there are much better sites available.
Site's response
Thank you for your feedback from your recent stay at Celtic Camping Martin, and apologies for the delay in responding. We think that the campsite represents good value for money, as on top of a stunning location, there are a whole host of facilities on site that are available for campers to use at no additional/hidden costs. The vast majority of reviews make reference to our helpful and friendly staff, who will do their best to provide a warm welcome on arrival and provide a brief overview of the campsite and local surroundings, so I'm sorry this was not your experience. Similarly, whilst extensive efforts are made to try and ensure noise levels are appropriate around the site, undoubtedly there will be occasions when unfortunately we do have some campers who are not so considerate of others and it does cause a disturbance, so apologies if this was what you experienced. Whilst Pembrokeshire and, in particular the St Davids Peninsula, is blessed with numerous excellent campsites which people can choose from, we are delighted to have recently won the 'Campsite Of The Year' award at the Visit Pembrokeshire Croeso Awards, which we hope is recognition of the high quality of service and facilities we provide to many happy campers.

The site is on a prime spot, with stunning views and enough space to have privacy even in the busiest days. The only thing that could be better is the cleanliness of the facilities. This was summer holiday, so the place was full, but still, the bathrooms and common areas were a bit dirty most of the time. it would have been nice if there was staff cleaning around more often. It was still a very pleasant stay and I would recommend it.

This is an amazing campsite and I would certainly recommend. It has all amenities that you need and more! Very friendly and safe. Amazing sunset and sea views. Staff very helpful, reassuring and very friendly. You can pick your own spot which is definitely a bonus! There is a steep walk to a little bay which is rocky. Only 11 minutes to the Blue Lagoon which is a must do! And 7 minutes to the bug farm. A real positive was being able to turn up and leave when you wanted to on your start and end days. The shower block could be a little cleaner but I'm being picky! They were adequate. There is a little shop and the opening times could have been a little better, but that's only because we ran out of milk early in the morning and it was shut at 8:30! I would most certainly come again to this campsite, thank you for an amazing stay!

Amazing space to zone out and recharge away from busy everyday life. Nice and peaceful area with great facilities, which made our stay a lot more comfortable. Beautiful scenery and amazing water activities. Visited nearby beaches (Whitesand Bay and the Blue Lagoon), which were both less than 10min drive. Staff members were lovely, polite and very helpful. Totally recommended and will definitely visit again.

What an absolutely stunning location! We loved the fact that you can choose your own pitch and that literally everywhere has a sunset view 😍 It was so relaxed, sitting watching the sunset whilst eating tea and enjoying a glass of wine was perfect! A walk along the coastal path whilst the sun set and spotting seals is something my family will always remember. 😊 The only thing that I can criticise are the toilet facilities. The portaloos in the fields were fine the first and second day we were there. However, despite having toilet roll (which shows they were checked) there was never any hand sanitiser available on the pump and the smell was awful from day 4. There is a main shower and toilet block at the top of the hill, but you don't always want to walk up there when it's very late or very early and you need the toilet. The toilets in the main block were basic, but showers were warm, and I never had to wait to use a shower 👍 More regular emptying of the portaloos, especially in the body summer season is a must. However, despite the toilet situation, we would definitely return. Our boys and my husband and I loved the view. Not far from St David's or The Blue Lagoon which is beautiful!

Busy time of year to visit, but with it being a large site the non electric spaces were relatively quiet. Great facilities on site and helpful staff, and the only thing that let it down was the porta loos being rather yucky. The main toilet blocks and showers were much better. Overall highly recommend this site.
Site's response
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review and for your positive comments regarding your recent stay Alison. Sorry that you found the portaloos a little yucky. We bring them in during the busy periods to help take a bit of pressure off the main toilet/shower blocks so it is disappointing to hear when this doesn't necessarily help the situation. But thank you for recommending the site and we look forward to hopefully seeing you again soon.

Good location just outside of St David's. Great walk along coastal path to nearby Abereiddy beach (~30 mins). Plenty of toilets and showers, never had to queue. Really lovely views of the sea, especially from higher up the hill. Really appreciated being able to leave at any time on check out day. Really enjoyed our stay (4 people, 1 dog).

fantastic views, clean and tidy site. shop, showers and other facilities good. the option of a licensed bar and televised sports would be great addition due to the location and size of the site. also a park for children to play in would be a good idea. overall a great few days at the site but I feel there's so much more they could do to enhance the site as its one of the largest places we've stayed

Everything about this place was perfect! Very helpful and friendly employees, the other campers were also pleasant and chill which made the trip relaxing and positive vibes only. Facilities were fab for camping, didn’t really need to queue, and were kept clean. Breathtaking views, and perfect to watch sunsets (and most likely sunrises)Would come again! *kind note - showers didn’t run well if all were in use, but understand this could be for eco reasons..best time to go is when the showers aren’t so busy!

We've just returned from 2 nights at this site & wanted to say that it really exceeded our expectations. The two large fields offer lots of space to chose from & you're not confined to a drawn-out pitch. There's loads of outside wash-up areas, toilets & showers and a handy little shop for essentials. We were delighted with the communal area that offered kettles, microwaves, fridges etc & surprised that you could purchase a hot meal (Wed - Sun) too. The staff are helpful, but low-key so you have the freedom to do your own thing. Great secluded location with wonderful views of the sea where you can watch the sunset or head off for coastal walks. We loved it and will definitely be back!

Fantastic stay at the most beautiful location. Loved the wooden benches dotted throughout as an extra touch - very handy! My only suggestion would be for the showers and toilet facilities to be cleaned more frequently. We will definitely be returning and thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

We had the best stay at Celtic Camping. Amazing choice of space in fields to park up, really impressed with the cleanliness of the toilet facilities - especially the portaloos! The views were breathtaking. We are planning our next visit!
