Surrounded by lush greenery, this small site prides itself as a quiet alternative to busier campsites. With excellent facilities (voted 'best facilities' by Camping Club members), get close to nature in this tranquil setting. No late night get togethers to be found here. All pitches are on grass and are suitable for tents, caravans and motorhomes. Electric hook ups are available. Your four legged friends are welcome too.

Site rules and policies
To make your stay more enjoyable we would appreciate it if you would read and keep to our simple rules. Failure to keep to any of these rules may result in your immediate ejection from Cedar Gables without refund.
Noise: Please be considerate to other campers and our neighbours by keeping all noise to a minimum. Ball games must stop at 8.30pm. Entertainment should be on a low volume and not played after 10pm. Do not allow your children out to play before 8am. There must be no noise or vehicle movement between 11pm and 7:30am. If you arrive back at the site during these times, please park on the driveway close to the trees. Generators must not be used.

Gates: Field gates will be locked between 11pm and 7:30am. Please park outside of the fields if you need to use your vehicle in-between these times.

Pitching: Please ensure there is a gap of 6 metres between each tent/caravan/motorhome (not including any guy ropes). This gap needs to maintained through the central fence line also.

Groundsheets: All groundsheets must be breathable. Please do not use plastic or polythene as a groundsheet.
Barbeques/fires: Please use only off the ground type barbeques and only burn charcoal not wood. Dispose of the charcoal in the special metal bin provided in the bin area. Bonfires/open fires are not permitted. You are welcome to use our barbeques but please clean them after use. We have bags of charcoal for sale at £6 per bag. If you need bricks to place under your barbeque please ask us, do not use the wooden caravan ramps or picnic tables. Please only burn charcoal, wood fires are not permitted, with the exception of the fire pit in the events field.

Fire pit: The fire pit is open from 9am to 1030pm. Please use responsibly, do not let your fire get to big. Do not add fuel to the fire past 1015pm so that it is able to die down by 1030pm. Do not extinguish the fire at the end of use, allow it to go out on its own accord.
Children: The children that you bring with you are your responsibility and must be supervised at all times. Please make sure that they do not throw or remove the black rubber chippings from the playground. Please be aware that there is a fridge/freezer in the amenity room and kettles by the washing up sinks.

Dogs: Please keep dogs on leads at all times. Do not allow your dog to mess in the field, if it does then please clean up immediately. There is a footpath running alongside the site which is ideal for dog walking, but, please clean up behind it. Under no circumstances should dogs be left alone if you leave the site. Please do not let your dog bother others by barking, especially at night.
Visitors: For security and insurance reasons, please let us know if you are expecting any visitors. There is a visitor charge of £2 per person.
Hook-ups: Please use only approved camping appliances.
Vehicle speed: All vehicle movement must be kept below 5mph.
Arrivals: Please aim to arrive between 2pm and 8pm. If you expect to arrive outside of these times, please inform us so that arrangements can be made.
Departures: Please vacate by 12 noon. You may stay longer if you wish but please inform us. An additional fee of £5 may be due.
Amenity Room: This is for your enjoyment, there is a sitting area, phone/laptop charging points, fridge freezer, book swop and local information.
Fridge/Freezer: This is in the amenity room and is for your use. Please make sure that all items are labelled with your surname and date. We have frozen blocks for sale at £1 each if you have forgotten yours. Please ensure the doors to the fridges and freezers are shut properly after use.

Group bookings: As we are a small site, we do not allow group bookings for more than 2 pitches. Any customers that make several individual bookings but intend to stay as a group will have their reservations voided with no refund of deposits. If it is discovered that you are camping as a group after you have pitched up, you will be asked to leave with no refund.

Commercial vehicles: Commercial vehicles are not allowed on site.

Fences: Please do not climb any fences. Most fences are the boundaries between our land and our neighbours, therefore any belongings lost over a fence may not be retrievable.
Deposits: All deposits are non-refundable.
Things to do on site and in the Wadhurst area
The site is close to a number of National Trust properties, including Scotney Castle and Bodium Castle, and is within easy reach of Tunbridge Wells and Hastings.
A footpath nearby will take you to Bewl Water which offers a variety of activities including, boating, cycling, fishing, walking and more. A restaurant and cafe can be found on the shoreline if you need to catch your breath. Pay a visit to Bewl Water Aqua Park too - perfect for family day trips with a range of activities for both adults and children.
Make time for a visit to Bedgebury Forest and Pinetum, open all year. Explore miles of scenery on a bike ride before finding a spot to enjoy a picnic. If you don't want to pack lunch, the Bedgebury cafe offers a great eating alternative and has stunning views over the Pinetum.
Bedgebury Forest also has a Go Ape course for those looking to swing across the tree tops. Events are held regularly throughout the year so be sure to check what's on before your arrival.
