Couldn’t fault this site at all! Multiple pitches, cafe, 30m walk into Ambleside or a pub just at bottom of the site. Close links to Windermere and Keswick. I can imagine this campsite is always full, we found it tricky with so many people and only 1 toilet/shower block but just went back at a later time and showers were free.

Amazing place. So clean and tidy. Excellent facilities, all first class. Easy to walk into Ambleside or to Rydal caves, Grasmere etc. I will be back.

Booked the day before I arrived and booking was confirmed promptly. I arrived quite late so I never got a good view of how nice the location actually is. I was checked in by a lovely woman by the name of Nicola, who was very polite and helpful ,so I can say the staff was very pleasant. From what I could see, all the camp spots had a picnic table and a stone slab to have a burner on. The facilities were good and clean, including the toilets and showers. It also had an outdoor sink area to clean your cookware in and a tap to get fresh water from, which was definitely handy to have. I would recommend staying here easily and would stay again if I was passing through.

Idyllic surroundings. It was lovely and quiet, this was to be expected with the time of year. The showers and toilets were spotless and warm. A fantastic central location to explore. We would absolutely stay again.

The receptionist was so friendly and helpful. The location is stunning, left me and my partner speechless at times. The sounds of the waterfall and sheep in the background were beautiful. The water deserves an honourable mention too, never had anything like it. Our only regret was that we should've stayed for longer, one night wasn't enough!
Great campsite despite the weather

Stayed here over two nights during a yellow weather warning for rain. Facilities are spotless and warm, showers are convincing and clean and there's fresh drinking water everywhere. Cannot ask for much more!

Lovely park in a great location. However, let down badly by irresponsible dog owners and fellow campers that don't adhere to the 10:30pm quiet time. I was still awake at 12:15pm with the noise from the tents opposite. They had dogs that were allowed to bark both through the night and early in the morning. It is a great site, it's just such a shame that this was my experience. All campers seemed to be in one place, despite the park having several camping locations. The noisy neighbours arrived at 10pm on their first night, pitching the tent in the dark with headlamps. Surely they would have been better placed in a site where there wasn't so many other campers that they could disturb?

A lovely, peaceful campsite, built into a valley, and adjacent to Rydal Hall. As it was mid-October I was camping there mostly on my own until the weekend, so it was extra quiet. Shower facilities were of a high standard and very clean. Walking distance to Ambleside (about 30 mins), close to Rydal Water and Grasmere, and lots of good walking locally.

The site staff were super helpful, I use a TentBox and did not realise the pitches were no cars, but they accommodated me in a secluded car park where I could set up.

The staff and hospitality at Rydal Hall are absolutely amazing! I was due to be camping during the storm, and they were kind enough to put us up in one of the lodges instead to stay dry and get a proper night's sleep. Although the grounds are large and there's a few lots of accommodation, it still felt very peaceful and secluded, as you're surrounded by the woodlands and incredible waterfalls and gardens. There are plenty of amenities on site with all the extra bits you might need for camping, and only a short drive into the neighbouring villages. I found this a great spot to base myself for exploring different parts of the lakes, as well as feeling very safe travelling on my own. I would definitely recommend and stay again!

Fabulous stay at Rydal Hall Campsite. Different areas separated but tress/woodland with good sized pitches. Quiet and peaceful. Cafe, small bar and restaurant on site. Small but but very clean shower and washing facilities. Staff throughout the site were very cheerful and helpful. Fabulous location, near to Ambleside and Grasmere with a great range of walks to choose from. Would definitely stay here again.

Stunning views, squeaky clean showers, the pitches are lovely and allow for privacy. Some of the pitches have almost a wild camping vibe. Staff were super nice and super helpful! Thank you for an amazing stay! I'll definitely be coming back.

Fantastic site, we will be back again. Facilities were clean and tidy. Only minor niggle is that the showers operate on a push button, which is very difficult when showering small children.

I camp quite a lot and stumbled across this site when I was stuck for somewhere to camp overnight last minute. Every thing about this site is brilliant, I honestly can't fault anything about it. Great location, the site is extremely well kept and maintained, the facilities are fantastic. The staff are friendly helpful and very professional.

Perfectly situated in Rydall with an easy, scenic walk to Ambleside. The campsite had beautiful views of the lakes and each campsite was well placed, with a good amount of distance between pitches. Although on the pricier end of things, it was delightful and the eco-friendly ethos behind the campsite was lovely!
