Small Tent - Non Electric Grass Tent PitchesSep 2024
Luke rang to warn us that the very, very wet weather meant that we would have to walk down a very muddy path to our site. We didn't mind this and Luke was very helpful, taking lots of our kit down for us on a wheelbarrow. A new, stone path is going to be laid down later this month and that will improve the site enormously.
The camp kitchen is well set up and located, but would benefit from hot water for washing up. The shower was nice and warm. The shower block is work in progress and will be much better when there is also a sink for cleaning teeth etc.
The location was very pretty and peaceful, filled with the sound of birdsong, but little else. Our pitch was actually not grass, but wood chippings and this was a life saver, given the weather we had! It was very even and flat and the pegs went in easily - so the tent went up super quickly, which was great.
All in all, a lovely location for a campsite which will be 5 stars all round when the last few bits have been finished off.
So peaceful fell asleep listening to the birds was bliss

I came to Exeter for a little break and loved how close this site is to the centre for shopping and site seeing, but loved coming back to this beautiful woodland campsite to spend the night. The sound of the birds really did echo amongst the trees and it was such a delight to have a shower in the woodland shower, lovely products and warm water. The site was clean and I'm looking forward to returning when I can. I will certainly recommend this campsite to my friends as it was such a wonderful place to stay and the owners were very helpful and knowledgeable about the area too.
Loved this site
