About Coed Temple Druid

Reconnect with nature at this secluded, small-scale campsite with just a handful of pitches in rural West Wales. While it's only a 25 minute drive from the Pembrokeshire coast, you'll find it easy to escape the crowds at this peaceful site in the Welsh countryside. There are just four spacious grass pitches, measuring up to 10m x 10m and complete with private firepits and logs, extra is available onsite and can be purchased via an honesty box system. The campsite is car-free to ensure everybody's safety and preserve wildlife. There are wheelbarrows to help transport your kit. This off-grid site is spacious and has lots to explore, including its very own stone circle at the top of the hill which enjoys stunning views towards the Preseli Hills. For little ones, there are swings and low-hanging branches for climbing in the surrounding woodland. A haven for wildlife, you can sit back at your pitch and watch the birds of prey overhead, or meet fellow campers around the communal fire pit and share stories. Cardigan is 30 minutes away and Llys y Fran Country Park and Reservoir can be reached within a ten minute drive for a whole host of outdoor activities. Please note that the camping field is set within the lands of a working intentional community, so there may be people passing through from time to time. Fires are allowed with each pitch having its own private fire pit and all campers having access to the communal fire pit outside of the roundhouse kitchen. Dogs are welcome onsite with two dogs permitted per pitch.

Facilities and amenities

There is an off-grid shower a compost toilet and two tree toilets. Guests have access to the round house kitchen and shelter that is equipped with crockery, cutlery, cups, pots, pans, utensils, a BBQ and a gas hob. The water from the sink is collected rainfall so is not suitable for drinking. Eco friendly washing up liquid is provided. Drinking water is provided from the onsite spring.

Each pitch has its own fire pit with a box of wood supplied. There are also picnic tables and seating around for dining al fresco and a communal fire pit for all campers to use and wood can be purchased onsite. The site is off-grid so there is no WiFi and the phone signal is not strong.

Head to Maenclochog if you need to pick up any essentials with Sarah's Newsagent a five minute drive or a 25 minute walk away. For dining out, The Globe Inn is also in Maenclochog.

Check-in is available from 2pm until 8pm. Please let the site know if you are delayed. Check out is before 11am on your final day.

Yes, dogs are welcome here but please make sure they are kept on their lead and not left unattended.

Yes, raised BBQs are allowed. With each pitch having their own private fire pit, and all guests having access to the communal fire pit, campfires are allowed in these designated areas.

Yes, awnings, gazebos and pup tents are allowed. Please select this as an option when booking. If you are bringing a pup tent please note it must fit within your pitch.


The gorgeous Preseli Hills (20 minutes) are a great spot for countryside walks and fantastic viewpoints, or if you are looking to be a bit more active head to Llys y Frân Country Park (10 minutes ) for fishing, watersports, mountain bike trails and walks.

It's also easy to get out and see the seaside, the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park and its coastal path are within half an hour of the site and Cardigan and the Teifi Estuary are also within 30 minutes drive. Here dolphin spotting boat trips can be arranged.

Keep the little ones entertained with a trip to the Oakwood Theme Park (25 minutes) a great family attraction with mini golf, and rides for the little ones and the big kids!
