Great stop over

Just a one night stay on route. Can not fault this site, check in easy, next to a popular pub, food great and good value. Brilliant, will definitely stay again if passing this way.

Nice camping area.

We picked this campsite purely on location after a long day on the nearby biking trails. It suited us very well close by, and the food was very nice at the pub located on the site. The site was clean, quite well priced. We will make a return to the site on our next visit to the area.

Short notice stop..everything I needed for 1 night

Quiet, pitch and site were spotless.. Pub was a reason why I booked..beer and food great..Will definitely stop again

Overnight stay

Enjoyed our overnight stay at Rivers Edge. Small campsite with good range of pitches. Ground flat with good shelter from trees. Pub on site did great meals. Nice walks along the river and through village.

Well run campsite

We only stayed 1 night but we were made to feel welcome and the facilities were nice and clean. The pitch was well set out and we were able to park next to the tent.

Had a lovely stay. Gorgeous scenery. Friendly staff. Would stay again. Dog friendly. Pub on site lovely food and my husband said good pint Worthingtons.

Nice little campsite

Nice, pretty little campsite. Clean and well ordered with all the basic facilities you need. Would prefer the showers to be warmer and to stay on for longer. Other campers very friendly. Staff were polite rather than welcoming. Most were friendly and helpful. Didn't have much chance to sample the food - no breakfasts on offer, and they were between chefs when we visited. We were hoping to go walking/biking direct from the site but there wasn't really anywhere to go. But generally a nice trip with lovely views.

Lovely night stay

Booked last minute, it was a great place to stay. The staff are really friendly and helpful. The site has all the facilities you could need. Clean, tidy pitch and the site was dog friendly.

Nice weekend away

Stayed here Friday and Saturday night. Was shown to our pitch, very friendly staff. Great facilities all kept clean. Lovely little site.

Fantastic site

Great site and facilities. The staff were lovely and happy to help. The on site pub is fantastic with the most beautiful and yummy menu! We arrived Friday evening for 1 night and found out there was live music Saturday, the staff were amazing and made sure we could get a spot for the Saturday too. Beautiful location, we will definitely be back

Very loud private party in pub ruined stay

On arrival on Friday night, nice location, nice owners, clean and tidy, albeit a bit dated with push, low power showers, grubby grout. Can see new owners are ambitious to change this and we were pretty happy. However, unfortunately the weekend we booked (with a 2 year old) this small campsite was hosting a large private 70th birthday party in the (small) onsite pub. This went on from midday to 11:30pm and was very loud - both the live music and the large party of people. The toilets as a result were a state and full of drunk people most of the time and the children's play area was behind all this, so pretty undesirable to play on - too busy/noisy and felt like we were crashing a private party, which we were essentially by simply being there. I'm sure the event was fun for those in attendance but not appropriate to try and combine a large noisy pub event with small families and not warn them in advance. Obviously wouldn't have stayed if we'd have known - not why we go camping.

Great value, plenty of great walks

2 adults and a dog. Great facilities, didn't realise we'd been there before as name has changed. Onsite pub has been modernised with good choice of beers. Friendly owners and staff. Great walks for all abilities close by. Will definitely be back. 👏👏

Our visit

Staff were lovely and happy to help. Location was perfect, nice walks and easy access to road network. Better suited towards tents rather then campervans. Toilets didn't seem to be cleaned once while we stayed for three nights.

Nice location and base!

We really enjoyed our stay here. Whilst the pitches are closer together than some sites we have visited, it doesn't feel claustrophobic at all and would definitely go back. The pub and park were really nice. One small complaint was that the water wasn't great in the showers, so not ideal if you were planning a longer stay.

A warm welcome

We had a delightful stay, the proximity to the river is a real bonus. They were exceptionally welcoming on arrival and helpful when we needed. I'm going back to this site in 2 weeks with my children, which tells you everything you need to know really :)

A great little find

A great small site situated behind a nice pub in the village of Pandy. Great spot to visit the surrounding areas. The pitches are decent size and are making improvements with hard standings. There is some road noise and the trains start passing around 6am, but that didn't bother us. The owners were really helpful up and look forward to returning to see further improvements in the future.

Enjoyed our stay

We enjoyed our stay at the Rivers Edge. Having a pub on site and with the oldest pub in Wales just 10mins walk away, we were well served. Facilities were good and kept clean. The only caveat I would make is that if this, site were very busy, there would not be much space between guests.

Since your stay we have reduced the number of available pitches by a significant number allowing both more space and also future plans to be implemented, we should add that all our pitches are either minimum required distance or much bigger than required but it is ultimately a small operation with limited space which we recognise and although we would love more land and more space, we have to utilise what we currently have so the reduction in number and restrictions on tent sizes and holiday home sizes will afford more space we hope.
