Twll Y Clawdd Touring and Camping Park is conveniently located ten minutes from the base of Mount Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa) and five minutes from the town of Caernarfon, so there is something for everyone! Welcoming tents and tourers across 40 pitches with the option of electric too, this site also caters for your four legged friends with an exercise field. Head ten minutes in the car to either the coast or Snowdonia National Park (Eyri).

2 nights at this lovely site, camping with 2 little ones, loved running around with plenty of space and having the fire pit hire was brilliant. Owners were absolutely amazing with us, very clean facilities, highly recommended, will be back 100%. Thank you.

Booked for a night away at short notice to test our setup before a long distance camp away. The site was perfect! Location was great. Just a quick walk away from two local shops, and a couple of pubs too. Only a quick drive from the nearest town. Close to the main road but could not hear or see any passing cars, it was a very peaceful stay. Everyone on site respected the site rules - a bonus, as some sites can be a little noisy after dark. The site was very well maintained and set up. Facilities were great - everything you'd need. Monitored and cleaned well and regularly. The owners were always on hand. Could not fault the site, and I'm sure we will be back for another stay.

We had a really good camping trip staying here! First time but would definitely return and recommend as a great base for north Wales. The facilities are also extremely good and there's a nice, cheap chippy down the road.

Last minute weekend away with my two boys camping. Of course I forgot things, but that wasn't a problem, because nothing was too much trouble for Sophie and Dan, plus the youngest helpers were just as great. A lovely and clean site that is easily accessible to other locations. We will definitely be back!

The site was clean and comfortable, with newly refurbished facilities. Small, family feel and run by super friendly and accommodating people. Perfect location to jump on the Sherpa bus to multiple Snowdon starting points and other lovely locations. Highly recommend!

Had a lovely week staying at Twll Y Clawdd Touring and Camping Park. The site is run very well and the facilities are clean and well maintained. Found the location great for accessing various activities around the area. The host are very welcoming and always around if you had any questions. The site is quiet and everyone staying were friendly. Would definitely stay again.

This is actually a really nice and well kept site but I have to be really honest with my review. The pitch was okay, albeit sloped, which we were kind of expecting, made things a little difficult when having drinks and food, things kept sliding off the table but we had a bit of a laugh about it. I don't think the site rules are enforced as they should be, there were children running and biking/playing between the fields after dark with no adults in site. In my opinion, this poses a health and safety risk, not to mention the quite rules. I think I remember seeing more than 2 fields on this site. I think it would be better to separate the families from the couples, or at least give the option. Whilst we expected it to be busy and there be children due to the holidays, this site is more than big enough to give options to stay in a quieter area if required, we had very noisy people either side of us so wasn't a very relaxing stay. The thing that bothered me most was the showers, they were scolding hot. I must have stood in the cubicle waiting for the temperature to regulate for 5 mins or so and I just could get under it without it feeling red hot. I gave up in the end and didn't bother. I worry for the elderly and young children as I don't think they would have been able to stand that kind of heat. My husband loves a hot shower, but he could only dip in and out very quickly. Also, there wasn't much ventilation in the toilet/shower block, it was like a sauna in there. I wouldn't stay again purely for this reason. Overall, the site is really well kept and they are doing a lot of things right, but lots could be improved.

Hi Maria Firstly, let me thank you for taking the time to write such a detailed review. We do appreciate it. You're absolutely right, there is room to separate families and couples a lot of the time, and we try to do that if and when requested, but of course with it being summer holidays we have a huge amount of bookings for families with children so it is not always achievable. For the level of noise I can only apologise. Had we been made aware of particularly noisy guests we would have acted on it. With regards to enforcing the rules around the children playing after dark, we try our very best. Admittedly, as with all family run places I'm sure, we are vastly outnumbered when it comes to the guests, and things can go unchallenged. But regardless of that, we agree with you that it is something that shouldn't be happening for health and safety reasons, and will do our very best to keep an even closer eye on it. Showers - thank you very much for bringing that to our attention. We will look at that first thing tomorrow, which will reduce the sauna like feeling in the room! Thank you for appreciating our little site for what it is. I'm sorry it wasn't for you, and we're grateful that you have told us why. We will work hard to improve on the points you've raised. Absolute gem of a find. The hosts of this site are super friendly & made a fabulous first impression. We booked very last minute & the hosts were excellent with helping with our queries. We also needed to cancel part of our group booking with 24 hours notice and again, they couldnât be more helpful! The site itself is wonderful, we travelled with our 2.5 year old and were a little nervous initially. Very clean facilities & really quiet considering itâs Summer Hols! There was so much to do in the nearby area that we didnât stop the entire time - weâre already looking at dates to book again.

The reception was very inviting and the owners gave friendly vibes. The site throughout was immaculate and the grounds were well maintained. Very clean site and owners were really welcoming and a joy to meet. Recommend this site to anyone and will return very soon.

What can be said about this site? This is the last night of our week and I can honestly say that this site is fabulous. From pulling onto site Friday the owners have been extremely hospitable. I have enjoyed our chats and they are so welcoming. The site itself is well kept. You can appreciate the hard work that is entailed to ensure a great experience is had by all. The amenities are clean with nice hot showers and a plug socket for hairdryers etc. There are large grass areas for the kids to play happily for hours. The pitches are a nice size and well kept. This site is a perfect base for Snowdon and many tourist attractions within a short drive. We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay from start to finish. Thank you so much for making our holiday enjoyable and memorable. You have a beautiful site, keep up the good work. For the couple of moaners that have given negative reviews, if you want a home away from home, stay at home. This is camping not the Hilton âșïž

We have just arrived home from an amazing stay at Twll Y Clawdd Touring and Camping Park. This is by far the cleanest campsite we have stayed on. The owners are really friendly and the location is stunning. I would highly recommend to anyone wishing to visit this part of Wales and we will definitely be returning next year.

We really looked how much space we were given in the non electric hook up camping field. Dan, Sophie and William were extremely friendly and helpful. The lawns were immaculate, even in the dog walking field. Appreciated the dog waste bin. Great stay. Many thanks, we'll be back.

Very friendly and welcoming owners. Lovely clean facilities and they were very open to feedback (I said nearly all campsites lacked shelving and/or hooks in the toilet/shower blocks) to put toiletries or PJs etc after showering. The grass pitches are really well maintained and cut short (even the dog's exercise field).

Would definitely stay again. Near to Snowdon and the beach. The camp is child-friendly and the staff are lovely. Our 2 children (9 and 5) spent every evening playing with the other kids on site. Only down side was there are no sanitary bins and as I had a 5 year old to get showered with me, I found it hard to keep everything dry as the cubicles are small and have no shelves for a dry area in the toilet blocks. Nevertheless, I managed and it wasn't a deal breaker.

Next time you come feel free to use the fold down seats in the cubicles or the hooks on the back of the door to keep your clothes dry! Beautiful, well maintained and clean site. Found the owner to be a bit judgmental on arrival, asking questions as to why we chose that particular site and where we came from! He would have known our pinpoint address from the booking surely! I also didn't like how the owners came around taking pictures for their Facebook page.

I can only apologise if either of us came across as intrusive or judgemental upon arrival. We like to try to get to know our guests and to make them feel welcome on arrival, quite the opposite of the impression we appear to have left you with. Our questions are nothing but small talk and an ice breaker, never any judgement here. With regards to our social media, we try to update regularly and will often ask people if thatâs okay. And of course, respect visitors answer if they would rather not feature on any social media platform. We would never take or post any picture of any guest or their accommodation without checking first, and as you said at the time you didnât want to feature, and therefore did not. We appreciate youâve taken time to write this review and wish you many a happy camping trip in the future! :)
