Excellent campsite

Location was beautiful and very clean, it's by a major road but if you stay away from the road, the traffic noise is not a bother. Generally a very quiet atmosphere and plenty of room to spread out. Enjoyed the fact you were allowed to camp anywhere you pleased 😃

Reasonable stay

Paid £20 per night for tent pitch with car for 2 people. Decent field next to A21 (busy all night). Not very busy so had choice of position away from road. Staff very helpful. It rained in the evening and again in the morning but didn't spoil things too much. Close to Bewl Water and good pub at Flimwell. Would use it again.

Grab your tent and sit around the campfire at T&J's Campsite

We have had a brilliant weekend at T&J's Campsite. The site is well kept and pitches are spaced out well. We decided to have a weekend break away from London that was still convenient for London and to local attractions. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The site is clean and well-kept. The staff recommended a great pub (2 minute drive/20 minute walk away) The Royal Oak,London Rd, Flimwell, Wadhurst TN5 7PJ (dog Friendly). But what made the site outstanding for us was that we can have a real campfire on the floor, without the need to have a firepit. We sat around our fire listening to music (allowed at a reasonable volume and up till 2200hrs). Logs were available from the camp reception. The staff opened it up to sell us wood and we went outside of the reception opening hours. The logs and kindling cost us only 7 GBP. This was enough wood for the 2-night stay. The site is very peaceful and you don't notice the A21 that runs outside of the campsite. The is a lot to do in the area and the campsite is right in the middle of them all. We are now back to work, but feeling very relaxed after our weekend at T&J's Campsite.

Weekend family break

This site was too noisy for us, we went for a weekend break. Situated on the A21, traffic didn't die down until 2am then started to build up again from 6am. It was cheap and convenient but not a site we'll use again. Facilities clean but we felt they were dated. Good play area for the kids though.

We clean the facilities twice a day and charge a reasonable rate for what we provide, we don't feel your star rating reflects what's written in your review. The road noise is, unfortunately, out of our control but is made obvious on our listing and is obvious on a map. This site is convenient to access local places, but may not be as peacefully rural as perhaps you were looking for. We hope you enjoy future camping trips.

My first time camping I can honestly say it was the best experience, and everyone was so friendly and helpful. The site itself is very spacious and extremely clean. I will definitely be returning.

Camping holiday

Nice site. I was delayed due to an accident on the A21, but I phoned and let them know and there was no problem checking in. There were also road closures during my stay right outside the site. Again nothing to do with the site. Note, showers are a bit low and a tight squeeze for me being over 6ft tall, but they are very hot and clean.

Very clean and tidy.

Very clean and tidy. The kids had great fun as so did me and my wife. We will definatly return again in near future. Log style speed bumps are pretty aggressive and not ideal for lowered vehicles.

Great campite with clean facilities

It was great opportunity to bring some friends together at this campsite. The only thing we didn't like is that the campsite is very close to the A21 and the road is very busy at night time as well. It is a great campsite for a few nights but wouldn't recommend to spend a one week holiday to stay all day at the campsite to have a bit of peace. It is good if you want to go for trips during the day. Facilities were clean, children can play at the playground at the site. There are only bushes between the campsite and the A21, so if you are not lucky, they have a tent space a bit further from the bushes. You need to keep an eye on the children to make sure they don't escape to the busy road.

Great little break

First time at this site. Good size field with lots of room with plenty of tree cover when it was very sunny. Lots of rubbish bins spread around site and good toilet and shower facilities. There was also a good playground for children. The wood prices are reasonable and there was a good reception and nice staff. The A21 is noisy all day and night, didn't stop anyone sleeping but would be nicer if it wasn't there (obviously nothing that can be done). The grass was cut but cuttings not collected so the dry grass ended up everywhere ( a minor point). We could also hear loud music both nights until about midnight, not sure where from and not convinced it was from the site.

Loved it - clean and spacious site

Lots of space, shady under the trees or out in the sun. Quiet & considerate campers. Immaculate facilities. Easy walking access to Bewl Water. There was some road noise from the A21 but we knew to expect that because the site is literally a turning off the main road. It didn't really bother us when we got used to it. If guests complain about it, they aren't checking a map before they book or reading it properly.

Friends getaway

This was the third time my husband and I had stayed at this site. We meet up with friends here at least once a year. This site is great for just relaxing around a campfire although for the more energetic people there are great walks and cycling routes. The toilet and shower blocks are ok, when the showers work! They tend to run on cold water or no water if you time it wrong. When the showers are working, they are good.

Amazing

Always have an amazing time here! Kids have fun running around in the woods and in the park. Always accommodating and helpful. Amenities are cleaned regularly. We always return each year it's a lovely friendly place to be.

Lovely little site

We had a lovely stay in our little Bongo and our dog. Facilities excellent and clean. Site is also clean and staff are seen cleaning and doing general maintenance. Didn't use it but looked like the site had an excellent kids area. Close location for Bewl Water and Bedgebury with Hastings just along A21. The only downside was how close it was to the busy A21.

Really lovely campsite, great facilities and so clean

really nice stay having campfires was great and the road isn't that noticeable. no restrictions on pitch size able to all camp together in a group

Fantastic campsite

The campsite was perfect for us. The pitches were a generous size, the shower block was clean, the playground was loved by all the children and the staff were all so helpful. I would recommend to everyone!

Amazing!

Me, my wife, daughter and 2 pugs have had an incredible time!!! The staff were really nice and very accommodating! The park was extremely well looked after, and the showers and toilets were super clean! They also had a little children's park! All in all, this was our first camping trip, but will definitely book to come back in a month's time!

Brilliant - best campsite in the UK

We go there all the time. I've travelled to many campsites across the UK and this one is the best by far, especially because the others have noise restriction and everyone has to be quiet at 11 o'clock. The facilities are clean. They have toilets and showers and sinks. The grass is good. You can have fires and BBQ. I stayed there from 23rd until the 25th August but we are going back for another 2 nights. Highly recommended. The staff are brilliant, Simon's been there for ages and he is very good. They sell logs and other stuff as well as firelighters, juices etc. Go, you won't be disappointed. There is also a park for kids

Great weekend away

Just back from a weekend camp with the grandchildren, the staff were very helpful and welcoming, even when I rang out of hours to see if we could buy some wood, they popped down to reception to meet me. I've driven passed the site many times so was aware that the traffic noise might be rather loud, but I got used to it and it didn't seem to disturb the boys at night. The play ground was a great bonus and is clean and brightly painted. Toilets and showers were clean and bright as well. I'm sure we will use the site again.

Amazing stay

We stayed here with a few other families. Absolutely loved every minute and my boys loved it too. We had a beautiful big area with trees and plenty of space for parking, tents, bikes, outdoor stuff, BBQ, etc. Showers and loos clean and the washing up area was lovely and clean and spacious. Really lovely. Will definitely be back again.
