On the Isle of Purbeck, Woodyhyde Campsite is a stone's throw away from Dorset's famed Jurassic Coast, Swanage and Corfe Castle. Guests can choose from electric or non-electric grass pitches, as well as hardstanding pitches ideal for tents, campervans, and motorhomes. And the best part? You can pitch up wherever you want! If you love the outdoors but aren't keen on canvas, there's the option of fantastic yurts or the shepherd's hut too.

VW-Type Campervan - Electric Grass PitchesJul 2023

We stayed for a wet and windy weekend, but despite this, we had a fantastic time. A pleasantly relaxed atmosphere on site and very friendly owners, the facilities were perfect with plenty of clean showers and plenty of spacious pitches to choose from. We walked into Corfe for food on Friday evening which took about 25 mins and we walked to the train station on Saturday and caught a train to Swanage for the day, also about 20 mins walk. The site shop was well-stocked and reasonably priced. Looking forward to our next stay there.

Sprinter-Type Campervan - Electric Grass PitchesJul 2023

The toilets were not great. In the 3 night stay, we did not see anyone clean the toilets or showers.

A great place to stay

VW-Type Campervan - Electric Grass PitchesJul 2023

This is a nicely situated campsite just outside the village of Corfe Castle. When we stayed there, we noticed there was a very friendly atmosphere amongst the campers. There are many lovely walks directly accessible from the campsite. Weymouth and Swanage are close by. We enjoyed the regular appearance of the trains on the steam railway that runs alongside the campsite. We had an enjoyable stay and look forward to returning in the future. We would recommend this campsite to others.
