Back of Beyond is adult only, set on 30 acres of countryside, offering large, fully serviced pitches, glamping and more near the edge of the New Forest. You'll be just a stone's throw from the South Coast and at the gateway to spectacular Dorset. Rated 5 Pennant Platinum by the AA, the park is a haven for wildlife. There's extensive woodland onsite, where dogs can roam free, plus wildlife lakes and a river!

We had an amazing stay at BofB - beautiful site, with lots to do within half an hour drive. Spotless site, with lovely spacious, powerful showers. The pitches are generous, the bar is a very welcome addition, very reasonably priced and friendly efficient staff. We were greeted by a lovely, very smiley lady who made us immediately welcome. We can definitely recommend and can’t wait to go back.

What an absolute gem. Beautiful place, clean, tidy, all you could want or need in one place. Well equipped little shop, adequate pitch size and very well spaced out. Toilets, shower rooms and wash up rooms absolutely spotless even down to the little green dry cloths. The site have thought of everything, we brought our 2 dogs with us and the field space leading to the fantastic wood area to walk is brilliant, so impressive! Also had chance to wander and look at the conservation area with the lake. Beautiful. Well done BoB you've got it right. We will definitely be back.

Very good site, clean, decent size pitch but too much gravel. Site would have been a lot quieter if the roadways were tarmac or concrete. Site location was as the site name says, Back of Beyond. Bus routes were very good, as long as you were willing to go forty or fifty minutes on a bus if you were in a Motorhome or weren't towing a car.

Thank you Jeffrey for the review. So glad you had a enjoyable stay. We have gravel pathways as we are in the forest area and the Council do not like lots of tarmac. Gravel is much more eco friendly than tarmac and has a much lower impact on the environment. There is a bus service at the end of the lane. We also have a good Taxi service and a company that will drop rental cars to the park for customers without a tow car. We hope you will come and see us again soon.

We have just got back from our first stay at this campsite. We received a very warm welcome on arrival. The pitch was a good size. The toilet and shower block were kept very clean. Monty's bar was a nice place to go for a drink. The park was lovely and quiet at night. A great walk in the woods for our dog. It was everything that we wanted. We have already booked our next stay.

The Pod was effectively equipped with everything we needed for our stay, providing a a mostly comfortable and relaxing experience overall. The decking area was large and allowed for full sun. Only niggles (and reason for 4 stars in facilities and cleanliness) were the two outside chairs were uncomfortable (need external cushions or padding), the parasol had no way of being used, no preparation area next to the gas cooker and some dog mess had been left on the decking. The amenities (showers and toilet facilities) were excellent, Monty's Bar perfect with great beer and and happy hour, loved the visiting food vans, and the lake and forest areas were more than enough for us to stay within the site for the whole time.

Hi Derrick, thank you for the review and the recommendation. I am sorry you had some niggles. I am sorry you thought the chairs were uncomfortable. This had not been previously brought to our attention, but we will obviously check them out and replace them if necessary. We have had a delivery of new parasols and bases this week and we will be replacing any old kit. They do age in weather unfortunately. Sorry you had issues. The outside cooking area is a large double gas burner. We always assumed that guests prepped in the Pod on the table and used the cooker when ready. I would think the poo you found would have been fox or badger and appeared after it was last cleaned. The pod areas are a non dog area, so no dogs would have been there. I hope that you come again and stay with us. Thank you.

Very good, quiet, relaxing. Time to read my books. I really enjoyed my time there, peaceful. Great to have the happy hour/food. Staff very informative and approachable. The gate security is very good. Surrounding facilities are really good. I'll definitely go again as it's a great base to travel around.

Lovely site. Everything kept very clean and tidy. Monty's bar and shop very good and the staff very friendly and helpful. We couldn't get a TV signal but everything else was spot on.

Friendly greeting and lots of site and local area information. Very cosy well equipped pod. Washrooms were immaculate and nice well stocked little shop. The highlight was sitting by the lakes listening to the birdsong and just relaxing. Beautiful site which is obviously very well cared for. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend it and will definitely be back for another visit.

A lovely, attractive park. Clean, tidy and quiet. The facilities were excellent and I love the bar area. It is a shame we were only there for one night and could not experience it for longer, but we will now have to return to do that.

Really enjoyed our stay. From the minute we arrived, we had a great meet and greet and the camp was great value and one of the best we have stayed at. Good size pitch next to woodland which our dog loved, the facilities were great and very clean. I love the shop and bar (it's like being in the Alps, outdoors but had plenty of heaters and a lovely woodburner). We will be back again soon - thanks to all the team for providing a great service and maintaining a great park.

We took a chance and booked a 3 night, needed break at Back of Beyond. We found the site to be well laid out with good facilities good size pitches. Shame they don't have their own water supply on all pitches as well as electric for the price. The bar in the evenings had a good vibe and was well used, with average pub prices. The shower that we used was clean and had plenty of hot water, as well as under floor heating, which was a real treat seeing as we had a cold snap while we were there. The outside food caterers were very good. So all in all, a pair of happy campervanners.

Thank you so much for your review. We do offer a variety of different pitch types including fully serviced with electric, water and grey waste on the pitch. These were available on your stay (£2 more a night) but you chose a standard electric pitch without water? Maybe you didn't notice this other offering. Was a lovely place, very clean, and staff were nice. My only downfall was that I felt the pod was too small for 2 adults and 2 dogs. Great place to stay and would come again, but without the dogs or get a bigger place. On site food was very nice, and a good on site shop. Thank you.

Thank you for the review and the top score, Mark. Yes, when you booked you chose the smallest pod, Kingfisher, but larger dog friendly pods were available for your stay. Next time, choose one of those so you have more room for your break with us. We hope to see you again soon.

Nice peaceful site, down a long narrow lane. Although we didn't use the bar, it was very busy Saturday night and looked like all were having a good time.

Really pleased with location and facilities. First time here. Was impressed with the size of our plot. Great location for walks. There is a nice bar and great to have on site food options. Will definitely be staying longer next time. The shower facilities were of a high standard and very clean. Nicely stocked shop with some more unique items. All in all, it was a great find and adult only. Will definitely be staying again.

Nice site. Good pub on site, along with visiting caterers. Very quiet, and easy going. Allocated pitch which in this case I was not happy with. Seemed they were reluctant to to change our pitch if required, not sure why as there was space available!

Thank you for your review, Christopher. I am sorry you are so upset about allocated pitches. You chose a certain type of pitch. There are only 13 non electric pitches in Damson, and you came at the weekend where we are very busy. We allocate on morning of arrival and if customers request a certain pitch we try our best to offer them the pitch they want. However, you did not. If you want to move pitch when you are here and there are pitches of the same type available, then we will always try to help. Many thanks.
