Hardyes Countryside Camping is a family friendly pop-up site conveniently located in an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty near Dorchester. There are electric grass and hardstanding pitches, as well as non electric grass pitches for campers and tourers. The Jurassic coastline is nearby and makes for beautiful walks and days out with the whole family.

Pleasant location, very friendly staff, but felt that there could have been more toilet and shower facilities. Seems to be queuing a lot of the time. Also no hair dryers.

It was our first camping trip with the family, having booked a pitch with an electric hook-up. Chris was very welcoming and helpful. He helped us get settled in and shared with us some really helpful local information. Although we had some high wind gusts during our time at the site, the location is nevertheless well laid out. We had a lovely time over there and we would like to go back at some time in the future. We would highly recommend Hardyes Countryside Camping to anyone looking to camp in the Dorchester and Dorset area.

The campsite met our immediate short term booking needs and site facilities offered were what we were looking for. Views and closeness of places to visit is also attractive to us. Some ideas of places to visit from owner you can find in the facilities room or ask owner. The owner is very friendly and helpful. Site is clean and well maintained by owner.

We stayed for one night and immediately felt welcome as we were told about the facilities. They have toilets and showers, as well as a kitchen area with a microwave. The field was nice and we were able to drive our car right up to beside the tent which was great. The owner also gave us some ideas for where to walk nearby. We would definitely recommend this place. It has a lovely view and seems to be one of the only places open around Easter too.

We had the best time. Facilities were clean and all in good condition and the views are amazing. So much to do within 15 mins drive but you are right out in the countryside. Highly recommend, really friendly, accommodating site.

Great site, Chris was very helpful with suggestions of places to visit and the best ways to get to them (avoiding all the traffic). Facilities were always clean and the water in the showers was lovely and warm. Will definitely be returning.

Hardyes Campsite is a perfect little location set in the countryside. Chris the owner was so helpful and extremely knowledgeable of the area, nothing was too much trouble for him. The facilities were some of the cleanest I've seen and no silly push button shower either. We were very close to Weymouth and Yeovil. Perfect location if you like peace and quiet away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The price was such a bargain as well for a bank holiday weekend.

Lovely site. Just what we wanted. We don't need bars, restaurants or pools. Chris was excellent as our host. Very helpful regarding local spots to visit & ways to get there. He kept the toilets & showers really clean. Would definitely stay again.

We loved this site. It was central for us to visit lots of places. Site was sloping in some places but it wasn't a problem, there were lots of areas that were flat enough for our tent. Showers were good & the toilet/shower areas were kept very clean. Very friendly & helpful owner. Would definitely go again.

We were a bit worried by the term "pop up" but we needn't have been. The owner met us and gave a great introduction to the site and the surrounding area. Site facilities were very clean. No problems getting onto and out of the site. Electrics worked as they should. Site is central for lots of the attractions.

Fantastic place, amazing host, lots of things to see and do. If you are after all things historical, cultural and natural in the area, this is a place for you. The host guides you through the things that are available in the area, providing with the information about the best routes and parking places. The site itself is a small, quiet, perfectly looked after, extremely clean. Any questions and difficulties are dealt with immediately and with great care. Absolutely recommend and will visit again.

This campsite is basic but has everything you need - clean toilets, showers and a washing up area. It's close to lots of beautiful Dorset beauty spots, such as Lyme Regis, Weymouth, Westbay, Durdle Door, Studland, Eype, Charmouth ect. The campsite does have electric hook-ups, but also has a plug socket to charge your phone if you don't have an electric hook up. Also, a microwave, which is really handy when the weather is not the best, and you have allergies that prevent you eating out. The people that run it are nice, kind, helpful and know the area well. My 11 month old enjoyed borrowing a Cube slide to play on while at the tent.
