Wanted to stay longer. Good super clean facilities and helpful reception. A really lovely rural site just off the road down down to beach. Campsite was on lush green fields with lovely views towards the countryside.

Can't fault the place. The family running the site were really friendly and helpful. Site is in a great location for accessing the beach and Woolacombe on foot as well as other coastal sites by car.

We had a lovely stay at the campsite. The staff were very friendly and keen to help with directions and recommendations. The showers were warm and fairly powerful which was lovely. We arrived on a Thursday and the campsite was lovely and quiet. Even when it picked up on the Friday it was still peaceful and everyone was respectful. It was a 30 minute walk into Woolacombe which was perfect for me and my partner. All uphill on the way back. And only a 5 minute drive. The shop sells all the essentials you would need.

We stayed at Little Roadway Farm this week and it was fantastic. Brilliantly clean shower/toilet blocks and family ones with a toilet and shower together in a cubicle which made showering the little ones after a day at the beach really easy. Onsite shop is brilliant and had everything we needed as well as little gifts that my daughter loved. They had pop up food vans in the evenings and sold fresh bread in the mornings. The pitches were large and have lots of room for the children to play and a children's play area. There is a nice walk to see their animals, goats, alpacas and cows which the children loved. Woolacombe beach is a 7 minute drive down the hill so a perfect location for the campsite. We will definitely be returning and highly recommend.

Really enjoyed our stay at this campsite. Good sized site, with plenty of room. Well located for various beaches. We had a non electric pitch but there were plenty of sockets in the lounge to charge phones. Staff were really lovely and the shop was well stocked and not overpriced. There are pop up food vans on different nights and also fresh bread being sold some mornings. Facilities were basic but did the job. The showers were a bit too hot for me but would be my only minor complaint.

Brilliant place to stay. Close to the beach (short drive). Excellent beach at Woolacombe but do not walk down from the site (or more importantly walk back up!).

Very nice campsite with fairly good location to walk to the beach. Facilities are very nice and well equipped. Prepared for every camping style, kids area sounded highly popular all day long. Great large dog walking area too. Nice, well equipped local shop serving hot coffee in the morning. The only downside are the locked barriers after 22:30, which was a pain for late arrival due to traffic, and phone contact just with the voicemail.

Five stars all round

VW-Type Campervan - Electric Grass PitchesJul 2024

Great campsite, very quiet and peaceful stay. Facilities were excellent, always kept really clean. Easy access to water, toilets, showers, washing up area, bins and recycling. Really close to the beach and Woolacombe town. However, it's an easy walk down due to it being downhill, but is quite a difficult walk back up the hill, it is worth it but maybe not everyday. Super easy in a vehicle, will take less than 5 minutes. The beach is absolutely excellent, really clean and a lovely beach compared to other places. The town has plenty of shops, pubs and food places so can easily spend the whole day there and parking isn't expensive. A few farm animals on the campsite, which is a nice small walk around but other than that, there's not really any other walks close by which is a shame. Only downside is if the weather is not the best then, due to the campsite sitting so close to the sea and being on a hill, it can get extremely windy and cold which can be a little bit of a spoiler. Especially as it can prevent you from putting up any awnings and could mean a day inside.

Nice chilled campsite

Followed satnav does not quite get the right distance from where it says 'your destination', only about 400 yrds short down country lane from site, minor problem. Check in no problem, pleasant staff seemed like a well stocked camp shop toilets and washing, showers very good. Plenty of space between pitches. Access was helped by having dry weather, so the ground was firm to drive on.

We only had one night over the Easter weekend - the weather was quite wet but the site was well organised to help with getting in & out considering the mud. The checking in was straight forward & relaxed. Perfect location for Woolacombe & the North Devon coastline.

Large Tent - Non Electric Grass PitchesSep 2023

Got to the campsite to check in as we booked a non electric pitch. Chose our pitch and unrolled the tent, but unfortunately found out we hadn't got tent poles. So we spoke with the owner and they had a spare cabin available, which was very lucky. They did their utmost to help and accommodate us. They were most helpful with our enquiries and needs. We would highly recommend a visit to stay at the campsite as the people were lovely and the location was perfect for our needs. A 5 minute drive to Woolacombe beach.

Hands down this has to be one of best, if not the best campsite, we have stayed on over the years. Incredibly polite and helpful people. Facilities were very good, ample space for campers, play park for little campers and it's within minutes from Woolacombe Beach We will be back for sure! Thank you!!

Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass PitchesAug 2023

We spent our first night in our tent at this peaceful, magical location but Storm Antoni started brewing through the night. We packed up early certain another day/night would 'Wizard of Oz' our tent away. We had booked another night's camping and was a bit stuck. The lovely team helped us by finding an available glamping pod called Poppy so our stay that night was safe, cosy and a lovely piece of luxury! Staff so friendly and facilities are fab! Amazing little shop on site too. Thoroughly recommend to all. Thankyou Little Roadway!

Motorhome - Electric Grass PitchesJul 2023

Good site in terms of size and cleanliness but we were not greeted on arrival. Though we got there well before their 6.30pm stipulated last check-in, it turned out we needn't have rushed to get there because our pitch was not beyond any barriers. I was rather annoyed that as soon as you sat down on the toilet in the toilet block, the light would switch off almost immediately and when washing your hands, you had to keep your hand on the tap, otherwise it would also stop immediately. We never saw the owners or staff apart from in the shop - no one popped round to greet us or ask us if we needed anything.

Site's response

Good morning, I don't normally respond to reviews, but felt. I had to with this one, mainly because I don't want people thinking we have barriers on site that close at 6.30pm and that people can't get on and off site after that time. It seems that you read the arrival information wrong, last check in time is at 7pm and we do have barriers on site, but they close at 10:30pm. This is to minimise vehicle movement on site, keeping everything quiet on site, because at 11:30 at night, no one wants car noise or lights swooshing over their tent, waking the family. I am sorry that the sensors aren't working properly in the toilet block. Unfortunately, until this point, no one has mentioned this to us and made us aware of it. And the staff in the shop are the owners. There are just the 3 of us, we are the only staff on site because the shop is also the reception, so unless we are cleaning, we are in the shop.
