About The Paddocks Caravan and Camping
If you're looking for a relaxing getaway in Gwynedd, this could be your ideal site. This small, adult-only camping and touring site is set in beautiful countryside within the small village of Llanystumdwy which has a pretty river walk along the banks of the River Dwyfor or along the estuary and the beach towards Criccieth. The village is the birthplace of historical David Lloyd George, so a visit to the museum is just down the road, there is also the local community-owned village pub, plus glorious sandy beaches just a five-minute drive away. Tent campers are welcome across the site's five non electric, and five 6 amp electric, large grass pitches. Each pitches measures 10m x 10m so there is plenty of space to set up your camping chair outside. Campervans, motorhomes and touring caravans are also allowed across the five fully serviced hardstanding pitches, each with an adjacent grass area. The pitches measure 15m x 10m overall, each with a grey waste, water and 10 amp electric hook up. All of the pitches welcome up to four guests, with WiFi available across the whole site, there is a communal area for washing pots etc, with a bench table and seating, fridge freezer and a drinks fridge along with a microwave, kettle and a toaster too plus a phone charging point. BBQs and campfires in fire pits are allowed as long as they are raised from the ground and placed on one of the concrete slabs provided, perfect for nights under the stars. Four-legged friends are also welcome, as long as they are well behaved and camping friendly, with up to two dogs allowed per pitch.

Check-in is between 1pm and 9pm. (if possible please could you give an approx. time for your arrival)
Check out is due by 11am.
All well behaved, quiet, campsite friendly dogs are always welcome onsite
BBQs and fire pits are welcome, just ensure they are raised from the ground
The site also has small BBQs and chimineas for a nightly hire charge
Charcoal, bags of logs and kindling wood are also available for purchase onsite
This is an adults-only quiet site, that has a strict quiet time between 11pm - 6.30am
Things to do on site and in the Criccieth area
Just five minutes from the coast, this is an ideal location for days out at the beach. Marine Beach and Criccieth beaches (5 minutes) are stunning beaches, great for days of swimming or soaking up the summer sun, then with Black Rock sands in Morfa Bychan being only a 10 minutes drive, there you can take your vehicle onto the vast sand beach for the day!
Criccieth Castle is also just five minutes away, one of Wales' most famous landmarks. This ancient castle sits high on a hilltop, originally built by Prince Llywelyn the Great. Here you can wander the ancient passages or marvel at the spectacular views out to sea, then head down the road to the local well-known ice cream shop called Cadwaladers.
The site is very central for most activities on and around the Llyn Peninsula and the Snowdonia National Park, having great coastal path walks in the area for anyone who loves walking, Plus cycle route number 8 is on the doorstep for cyclists to enjoy their days out too.
