Only booked 2 nights for a short break. Wanted somewhere quiet for a little bit of 'R&R' and this site didn't disappoint. Yes, it's fairly remote but if you enjoy country walks and/or cycling, it's not an issue. The toilets & showers are spotless. All the reviews I read before booking said that Gary, the host, is a great guy. I agree, he is! Super friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble for him ๐ he comes to check on you, not in an intrusive, policing way, just a genuinely caring way ๐

We've just come back from the most amazing weekend camping as first time campers. We arrived late at 8pm due to traffic on the Friday night and Gary still came over to meet us and to show us where everything was. Gary was the most welcoming/caring host I've ever come across. He even gave us some advice/tips with the tent. He was always making sure we were all okay and everyone was safe. He even put a big motorhome in front of our tent at night time to stop the wind from hitting us as much. The shower facilities were beautiful. Modern, clean and had hair dryers in. He was always stocking up the toilets with toilet roll to make sure there was never none. The site itself was beautiful, even had a dog field where the dogs can run free and it's all secure. There's still renovations going on but I can see this will be an amazing site when it's all finished. We went to Church Bay Beach (5 mins drive) and Trearddur Bay (20 mins drive) and these are a must! Made me feel like I was on holiday abroad. There's also a pub nearby, 3 mins by car called Church Bay Inn. The views from the beer garden are absolutely unbelievable. Normal prices, wouldn't say it's too expensive as I've read on other reviews. Lovely walks around the site. Electric hook ups on each pitch. water and even a picnic bench for each camper which we loved. Shower blocks are right next to where you pitch your tent. If you want a weekend full of tranquillity, beautiful views, an a host that goes above and beyond then book here, you won't regret it. Gary you were amazing, we hope to come back again very soon!

We arrived on a dull day. Gary was there to greet us. The weather was changing quickly. High winds and rain on the way. Gary said we could pitch anywhere we felt safe. After driving up to the camping pitches, Gary advised that a lower pitch might give more protection and another camper had arrived and were pitching there. It was a hardstanding with grass. We pitched on the grass. The wind was gale force and rain torrential. We battled on. Laying and anchoring the groundsheet was interesting to say the least. After around an hour battling the elements, we had our Coleman Weathermaster up. We were soaked, our dog was soaked and a puddle inside the tent but we'd done it. We settled in for a rough night. Gary checked up on us which was so thoughtful. After a very windy night, we woke to a brighter day. Gary informed us that other people in caravans had left due to the weather. We vowed to make the most of our trip. The site is beautiful. Well laid out. Different levels so you're not on top of each other. Main toilets and shower are at the top of the site. More toilets at the bottom. These are of a very high standard. Absolutely spotless. Electric hand dryer! Very fancy. There are lots of hardstandings for caravans and campers. Planting of trees is well thought out and when matured, will provide both privacy and protection from the elements. A short walk up the hill to the main toilets/showers. These are exceptional. 2 toilets, 2 showers and a large changing room. Well light. Timed lighting. Showers were amazing (once I'd worked out how to adjust ๐). Sink area with soap. Hairdryer and mirror. Very roomy so you're not getting in anyone's way. Every pitch has a wooden picnic table. All pitches have EHU, lamp and a tap. Beware water pressure is fierce. Caught us out a few times ๐คฃ. The views from the top of the site are amazing out to sea. All pitches have lovely views of the surrounding countryside. There is a washing up area. Areas have been create by clever planting to create nice walks. There is a large, secure dog field where your four legged friend can run free. 24 hr CCTV so it's safe and secure. Access to the site is a narrow road but we only encountered one other car when arriving or leaving the site during our stay. It's close to Church Bay which is beautiful. We walked the coastal paths which have breath-taking views. There is a lovely cafรฉ and The Lobster Pot restaurant. Gary arrived around 9am each morning. He would come over to check we were ok. Gary couldn't do enough for us. He is the nicest person you could hope to meet. Gary informed us about things to do and places we might want to visit. He even lent us his book of coastal walks. He has more plans to develop the site further. (Possible lake!) We can't wait to return to see these. The site is well managed and spotless. There are horses in the field next to the dog run. We had a few young cows try to join us and Gary ushered them back to their field. It was so quiet and peaceful. Just the sound of sheep and distant tractors. Just what we wanted. When it was time to pack up we were gutted to be leaving. Gary made us feel so welcome. We will definitely return and would highly recommend this campsite.
Incredible stay!

10/10 and we cannot wait to go back! The site owner could not do enough for us! Everything was to an impeccable standard and despite the very windy weather, we had a gorgeous time. Everything is well within reasonable walking distance and if you have trouble walking or a very lazy bulldog (like us) then the driving and parking is easy enough around there too. Shower and toilets were very clean, shower block at top of the hill and toilets located at bottom and top of the hill. Drinking water for each pitch is brilliant too. Hardstanding pitches come with picnic table too. ๐ Couldn't recommend this place more! Things to do there: Church Bay Beach, Watercrest cafรฉ , Church Bay Inn, South Stack Lighthouse ๐

We stayed at Ty Cochyn Campsite for a four night stay in August, the set up is lovely. Gary is absolutely great, so accommodating and goes out of his way to make sure the guest on site are well looked after. Showers and toilets were kept very clean. Loved the enclosed field they have for the dogs to be able to run around. Would definitely recommend, wouldn't hesitate booking to stay here again if we venture to north Wales again in the future. Thank you Gary.

Firstly, the site. Ty Cochyn is a developing site but is so well thought out, so peaceful. and well equipped. Every pitch has electric and water points, along with an outside light and a picnic bench. Most of the pitches have hard pitches and grass to cater for all combinations of car, tent and caravan. The shower/toilet blocks are modern and spotless, and there is a large enclosed dog walking field. The location is perfect for access to the coastal path, with stunning walks a little over a mile away, and Church Bay with its pub, restaurant and excellent cafรฉ 15 to 20 mins walk. I want to pay mention to our host Gary. He met us on the first day to give us a guide to the local area and places to visit and also to warn us of the pending storm. We arrived with our tent to the back end of Storm Lillian. Gary offered us refuge in his motorhome parked on site if things got too scary and also checked in on us twice throughout the night, including 5am at the height of the 80mph winds. We didn't need the motorhome, but it was close and can't thank Gary enough for his kindness. You can tell Ty Cochyn is more than a business and it will go from strength to strength with Gary's plans for the site. We will be back soon.

Still slightly work in progress on the site, but we had a lovely stay. Gary is the most helpful host. He honestly would do anything to make your stay a happy one. The pub is a short walk and the beach just a bit further on but both well worth the walk. Hope to return

Absolutely perfect place to stay. Garry was the most fantastic host - gave us ideas where to go and what to do. The campsite was absolutely spotless, including the shower block. We went with a roof tent and had no issues. We will certainly be back.

Just returned from a fantastic break in a stunning location. The site is brand new and still being built but it's already fantastic. The showers and toilet block are ultra-modern and exceptionally clean, Gary, the owner, is a great guy who makes sure you get the best out of your stay, the stunning church bay is a literal 5 minutes drive or 40 minutes walk away so is great to visit, as are Holyhead and South Stack, which are all within easy reach. All in all, we loved our stay here and can't wait to visit again soon.

Quiet setting with beautiful sea views - a bit blustery at times but we were able to chose our spot and even move to other plots during our stay. Excellent facilities - brand new and clean. Loved being able to walk to the pub - and beach, although could be a bit far for some. Our spaniel loved his morning run round the dog field. Local pub was great but doesn't serve food - amazing food at the Lobster Pot but more for special occasions. Super-friendly and helpful owner.

Great site away from the hustle and bustle. Good location to use as a base or to just sit and relax. Amazing views, can get windy on the upper plots so watch the weather, however plenty of protected plots to choose from. Gary (owner) canโt do enough to make sure your stay is what you are looking for.

Gary made us very welcome at Ty Cochyn, which is obviously a labour of love for him. The facilities are good and each pitch has its own hook up, water point and table, and most have great views. There is some fabulous cycling and walking in the area and Gary is very knowledgeable about local rides and walks. Lovely Church Bay is a 30/5 minute walk/car journey away and the quirky Church Bay pub is 20 minutes walk. If you want peace and quiet then this is the place you.

Having never been to Anglesey before, this was the perfect location to explore the whole island, Holyhead only 20 mins away for any big supermarkets etc. The campsite itself has amazing 360 views, everything well spaced out and having fresh drinking water on every pitch is such a great feature. I've stayed on countless campsites and I have never been to one with cleaner toilets/showers or a more friendly owner. Gary was very welcoming and helpful, offering solid advice for first timers to get the most from our trip. Stunning beaches nearby, lots to explore and sunsets that belong on a postcard. Perfectly placed campsite, Gary is building something very special here.
First stay - will be back!

Just returned from a wonderful stay at this relatively new site but Garry the owner has big plans a foot for the future! Gary jumped to my aid when setting up my tent on my own in force gales and I was very appreciative! Lovely site and very peaceful which was just what I was looking for. 30 minute walk to Church bay a hidden gem (with a pub en route!) I will definitely be back to this campsite really enjoyed my stay and perfect for dogs with an ideal dog field as you enter, perfect for for them to let off some steam and stretch their legs! Thank you :)

Arrived and was greeted by Gary the owner who gave us free reign to pitch where we liked on his large and well laid out site. Facilities and hook up was first class. Gary has obviously put a lot of thought, time and effort into making this a really special site for adults and dogs. He went out of his way to share his knowledge of the area and to point out the local places to visit and eat at. Lent us a book of walks in the area to take in the superb scenery surrounding this site. While it is still under construction, everything you need is available, even down to your own picnic table and bench at each pitch. Will definitely be going back and would highly recommend to anyone looking for peace and quiet in perfect surroundings.

We had truly wonderful time. The campsite is very quiet with pleasant views. The toilet block is new, very clean and very modern which is rare at campsites. Gary, the owner, is a great chap, very helpful and understanding. We have two a bit crazy dogs that get a bit too excited about people. He offered us our very own field to stay in so the dogs could roam free there without disturbing others. We are very grateful for his attitude and hospitality. We definitely will be returning next year.

My husband and I had a lovely time at this site. We used it as a base to explore the beautiful coastal regions of Angelsey. The site was relatively new and quiet while we were there. There was a nice, newly built, clean shower block with toilets and also separate toilets half way down the site. We had gorgeous views of the sea and on the last night a dramatic display of lightening across the sea sky. Gary the owner was very helpful and gave us a booklet of various walks on Angelsey, which we did some of them. He gave us lots of advice on some of the best places to visit also. He was extremely friendly and checked in on us every day to make sure we were doing okay. We stayed 7 nights but only scratched the surface of places to see. We certainly will visit again.
