About Ffosygrafel Isaf Camping
An ideal location to switch off surrounded by nature. This small, eco site makes up part of a woodland regeneration scheme where the owners are trying to create a wildlife refuge and increase the area's biodiversity. Farmland, trees and shrubs surround the site so everyone can enjoy wonderful views! For tent campers, there are just eight non electric grass pitches. Each pitch sits within a 12m-15m mown circular patch in the camping field, allowing up to two tents with six guests. The pitches are car free, but the car park is just a 50m-80m walk away with trollies/wheelbarrows supplied for transporting your goods. There are also three non electric pitches for trailer tents and campervans, with up to five people per pitch. These pitches are located on a hardstanding area of the site surrounded by trees, ideal for those wanting a bit of shade from the summer sun. Campervanners are welcome to use all the facilities available on the campsite. If glamping is more your style, opt for a stay in the charming shepherd's hut. Sleeping up to three, the hut comes fully furnished with ample plug sockets, a double bed and a dining area that can convert into a single bed. Bedding, towels and blankets are all provided. To keep you nice and toasty year round, there is a wood burning stove stocked with wood, kindling and eco fire starters. For cooking up a tasty meal, there is a small, well-equipped kitchenette with a gas hob, small fridge with ice-making facilities, kettle, toaster and sink. Outside of the hut, there is a large decking area with three chairs and a small table for enjoying your morning brew. At the end of the decking, you will find your own private stand-alone eco, compost loo and a spiral, walk-in shower with a rainfall shower head. Also, a new patio has just been added with a fire pit for BBQs or just enjoying the warmth and flames of a real fire. For evenings on the campsite, guests can bring along their own raised BBQ, just please ensure they are not disposable. There is also a large communal fire pit for toasting marshmallows with your fellow campers, and you are welcome to bring along a guitar to play too. There is a washing up area and communal gathering space for when it rains - it does occasionally in West Wales! - this is in the beautifully constructed roundhouse near the other facilities. Dogs are also welcome to join you on the camping pitches, however they will need to remain on the lead. Please ensure you add a dog to your booking if you are bringing one! Please note that there is no WiFi on site and very little phone signal, although you can get good signal from the field above the campsite. Take a tech break and relax!
Camping and touring is available from May to September. The shepherd's hut is available all year round.
