Perfect for just myself and my 11 year old son. Great location for lad and dad time out during the summer break. Looking forward to coming back again. Spotless brand new facilities. Really warm friendly atmosphere and didn't want to come back home.

What can I say...one of the nicest sites I've stayed at. Clean facilities, quiet and 3 pubs within walking distance. The only thing that would make it better is maybe some milk and ice creams in the farm shop.
What a find

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The campsite is really well run and the facilities are kept nice and clean. It is worth noting that the toilets and showers are unisex, which can feel awkward for some people.
A very agreeable stay in a charming campsite

Fantastic site! Stunning views and amazing walks from site. Quiet site, even when full. Lovely atmosphere. Wonderful location, near Monsal trail, Bakewell and Chatsworth. Spotlessly clean modern facilities. Friendly helpful staff. Farm shop, fresh local milk and eggs from farms shops in village. Well stocked friendly village shop. Great pubs nearby, serving good food, we tried them all. Wonderful livestock and wildlife. Thank you for a very relaxing break.

We had a lovely family stay with our dog. The site was clean and tidy and had amazing views. We had a medium tent pitch towards the top of the site. The car parking for these pitches was really close and there was an extra toilet at the top of the site which was really handy. The sheep dip had amazing facilities it was really warm and clean. We ate out at the White Lion where we were made very welcome and the food was excellent.
Truly exceptional facilities

So I saw these guys only had 7 reviews so I thought I would chip in (I don't normally write reviews). Absolutely world class cosy campsite. The newly refurbished washroom and toilets are meticulously scrubbed down every day. Almost every pitch has its own cordoned area with a water pipe. The location is great; 3/4 pubs within easy walking distance, as is the Monsal Trail, with beautiful walking to be done. If you like birds, you'll find redstarts around here, they liked the moss covered ancient ash tree next to our pitch. Only suggestion would be to install a fridge for communal use. They do however have a freezer for refreezing your ice packs; maybe fridges would get too crowded or be too much maintenance but I am nit-picking. 5 stars!

Outstanding campsite, so peaceful and relaxing with the most amazing views. Walking distance to village pubs with beer gardens. Close to Bakewell and Chatsworth House. Monsal trail is beautiful, we hired a bike, fab way to do the whole trail. Campsite facilities were superb. We will definitely return.

A lovely friendly welcome to a beautiful small site with great views over the country side. The facilities are the best we have encountered in the UK or abroad. The only fly in the ointment was the presence of a CCTV security camera that pointed directly at our campervan. We appreciate the need for security in the public areas but perhaps this was a little intrusive.
Fab place!!! Definitely worth a visit

Absolutely love this campsite and would definitely recommend. Facilities are excellent - toilet and showers/wash area are newly refurbished and are superb. Pitches are neat and tidy, and the staff are really friendly and helpful. There's also a little shop on site full of useful bits. The site is close to the village with pubs and shops to cater for all and everywhere is dog friendly. Short walk to the Monsall Trail leading to a lovely (now dog friendly) cafe at Hassop and on to Bakewell for lots more. Great place to stay, especially with a dog :-)
