Lovely little site, Paul was very pleasant and friendly when we arrived. Toilets were clean and 20p for a 3-minute shower, ample time for a hot shower. Plenty of walks near the site and a bus service to Kendal and Kirby Lonsdale is 5 mins walk from the site. Would definitely recommend to friends and we will return again.
Site's response
Thank you Neil. It will be lovely to host you (& your friends) in the future. Paul.

Lovely site, still being developed. Paul, the owner goes out of his way to make his guests welcome. The showers are good value for money for 20p. Lovely and hot with toiletries supplied. The best shower of our two-week break. Our dogs loved their walk along the canal. The Crooklands hotel is next door, very busy so best to book in good time if a meal is required. The site is handy when travelling north or south as it is only a few minutes away from the M6. We only stayed one night on our way home, but we were so impressed by the site that we plan to book a longer stay in the future.
Site's response
I'm glad that your stay at Little Acre worked out so well for you, Marilyn. When you come next time the freshly laid turf will have taken and the shower/loo & laundry block will be completed and operational. Paul

Well cared for site with friendly owners who are currently making a few improvements with a new toilet block and some landscaping. It's in a great position to visit the many lovely towns and villages in Cumbria and the Lakes. Two excellent eateries nearby...the Crooklands Hotel is literally 200 yards from the site, but you must book as it gets very busy. The Plough is a short drive and the food was top-notch and reasonably priced.
Site's response
Thank you for staying with us Lynn and leaving such a lovely review. It's good to read that the Plough at Lupton is in good form - when the Crookies is full, I can point people in the direction of the Plough! Paul

I visited Little Acre in my touring caravan for 8 nights in July with my little 4 legged pal and what a hidden gem we found. Paul and Sarah (owners) are friendly and very informative. The location is adjacent to the Lancaster Canal which was ideal for our walking holiday. I didn't use the toilets, so afraid I can't comment so I've only given a nominal rating (sorry) but fingers crossed it won't be the last time I visit this site. Keep up the good work guys!
Site's response
I'm glad that the stay worked out so well for you and the pooch, Andrew. It would be good to host the 2 of you again in the future. Paul P.S. The grass seeds that I planted during your stay are coming along a treat!

Brilliant site. Never stayed on a site that supplies electric leads for you and everything you could need in the showers, shampoo/conditioner and shower gel. Even supply cotton buds and cotton wool balls. The owners are really friendly and obviously love what they do. Will definitely be going back.
Site's response
Thank you Tina. Yes, you're right, I absolutely love owning Little Acre and meeting all the people who come through our gates. When you return, our new loo, shower and laundry block will be completed - which will be a welcome improvement of the block that it replaces. Paul

I can't praise this little site enough. Immaculate and really well laid out. The welcome on arrival was effective and friendly. We could tell work is underway on a new shower block. The current ones were practical and smelt beautiful! Nice touch with the toiletries which I've rarely seen on campsites. You'll just need your 20p coins for the shower. I used 40p worth which was perfect (about 6 minutes worth) and there is a slot on the right side of the little machine. The pitches were well spaced apart. Highly recommend this site. Fab pub across the road too and delightful walk along the canal accessed across from the main camp gate.
Site's response
Thank you for staying with us and leaving such a lovely review of Little Acre, Linda. Within the next few weeks, our new laundry, loo and shower block will be completed, which is the work that you saw underway. Paul

Lovely little site, but toilet block needs updating and only one shower for ladies.
Site's response
Thank you for staying with me at Little Acre and recommending us on campsites.co.uk, John. I suspect that you didn't discover the other shower and loo block during your stay with us! We are currently at the final stages of opening a brand new shower, loo and laundry block and once opened, our oldest block will be retired. This will greatly increase the facilities that we have at Little Acre, plus we'll have laundry facilities and accessible facilities for the first time. Paul

We had a fabulous stay at Little Acres campsite. The site is very clean and well run, the shower and toilets are lovely and clean, it costs 20p for 3 minutes and we all managed a good shower for no more than 60p each! The owner was very friendly and helpful. Lovely walk down by the canal and a great pub a stones throw from site which is also dog friendly!
Site's response
Hi Rachel Thank you for the lovely review and recommending Little Acre. Paul. P.S - You're spot on about the pub - I don't need much of an excuse to go there for a bite to eat!

Lovely little site with a really friendly guy. Arrived late but was messaged ahead with pitch number as reception closed so, perfect. Great pub/restaurant just around the corner. Facilities were all clean, but limited at the moment. New shower block being built, so that'll be great. Lovely canal walk within 3 minutes walk. Would recommend.

This site is very handy for M6. Basic facility block kept clean by friendly warden - the shower was very good, 20p for 3 mins. Access to lovely canal opposite entrance. Crooklands Hotel short walk away - booking advisable for meals. Good location for visiting Sizergh Castle, Levens, Kirby Lonsdale and Lakes. Quiet and relaxing.
