A note from the site themselves...

The site is situated within an old brickyard on the Holkham Estate. The last brick was made here in 1951, and since then the land was largely forgotten until the current tenants moved in and decided to clear the wilderness and create a little tucked-away haven.

We have camped here many times. We go back at least 2 or 3 times a year, on our own or with friends. The secluded pitches are unique, we haven't found any where else like it. The hosts are really friendly. The barn is a lovely place to gather, especially if it rains. Close to beaches too.

Excellent, recommended to anyone

Safari Tent - Abbott's RestJun 2024

From the personal welcome the moment we arrived, to saying goodbye as we left, it was brilliant. I have camped for many years but have never glamped. What have I been missing! The safari tent was excellent and the facilities were outstanding, including our own shower block, separate toilet and washing up area. Sadly, because of the rain, we didn't get to enjoy our campfire bit but this didn't detract from the experience as the front porch of the tent was totally covered and featured a large dining table. We had a great couple of nights sleep in our 4 poster bed. The location of our pitch was not only huge but also totally secluded. We will be definitely visiting again.

Site's response

Amazing, thanks Nigel. That's a great review, I'm so pleased you had a good first Glamp, we do space out tents out a lot, which helps give the feeling of closeness to nature. You were great guests, we'd love to have you back, Tim.
