Great

Arrived and the front man ( I’m guessing owner) was extremely polite helpful and welcoming. The toilet and shower facilities were great and exceeded all expectations. Will definitely be coming back and I recommend.

Lovely site

Booked last min as weather forecast was nice. Lovely little site. Very dog friendly. Great access onto the canal for a walk, good pub across the road and easy bus route into Kirby Lonsdale. Showers and toilets are beautiful and clean, also heated. The 20p for 3 mins in the shower definitely worth the money (rain fall modern shower) The wifi was very good, never lost connection! Owner was lovely and welcoming. We will most certainly be back for another weekend venture.

Excellent stay and beautiful facilities

Friendly host, immaculate site, bathrooms/showers the loveliest I've seen on a campsite. Great location for access off the M6 and use as a base for exploring the South Lakes & lovely pub across the road. Highly recommend.

Fabulous site

Best campsite that we've been to. The shower block is on trend, very clean and modern. 2 minutes walk to the pub, but watch the road and pre book your table.

Fantastic

This is our fourth stay here and we love it! It is run so great and they are so helpful and friendly. Communication is great and well organised. Very clean and well kept site too. Easy to get to off the motorway, lovely walk along the canal next to the site and the Crooklands pub over the road has fabulous food and allows dogs too. Just excellent!

Hidden gem

Stayed for one night on our way down south. The site is immaculate, spacious and peaceful. We will definitely be back.

With us being just a mile from junction 36 on the M6, we get a lot of people using us as a break in their journey, having a pint across at the pub and then going for a wander along the Lancaster Canal that runs adjacent to us. Amazing little find

What can I say, Little Acre has to be one of the best sites I have ever stayed at, Paul was very helpful and he is a really nice chap. The toilet/shower block was immaculate, and the pub was only a short walk away serving lovely food. There were dogs almost in every camper and it was nice to see so many all getting along. Thank you for a wonderful stay and we will be back soon, just planning our next get away. See you soon.

Lovely, small site

Great location, not far from M6 which was ideal for us travelling down to Wales from Scotland. Good size pitch, nice, clean facilities.

Superb little site

This is an incredible little site, managed by an exceptionally friendly and helpful chap. All pitches are immaculate and the toilet/shower block, along with the washing up block (with a dryer and washing machine) are the best I have ever seen on a campsite and we have been camping regularly for the last 10 years! The location is great too; there is a really nice pub across the road, which serves excellent food and has a great choice of beers. The canal is adjoining the campsite and the south lakes hotspots are very close. You can hear the traffic from the motorway at night, but only as a dull background noise and it certainly doesn't stop you sleeping. All in all, I highly recommend this site and would definitely stay there again.

Great camping holiday

We camped here with 2 dogs. Facilities on site were amazing. Showers, toilets and wash room were top class, and even provided complimentary body wash, shampoo and conditioner. The site manager was nice and very informative, great knowledge of local area. Our only dislikes were that we couldn't peg the tent down properly due to hitting either hard clay/rock in the ground and the washing machines were slightly overpriced for the amount of time that was given.

Fantastic experience

Had an amazing time, everyone in the campsite was so friendly. The man who ran the campsite was very friendly and helpful. The toilet and shower facilities far exceeded our expectations! We will be back.

Lovely site

First time camping and really pleased we chose this site. Paul was very welcoming and told us everything we needed to know upon arrival. Shower/toilet/laundry/washing up block seems to be brand new and decorated and maintained to a high standard. Very convenient for scenic canal walks, Kirkby Lonsdale and all it has to offer. Good selection of takeaways in Milnthorpe and a local pub over the road. Will definitely be back.

Perfect stay, great site, super clean

Me and my girlfriend stayed 2 nights and the site was perfect, toilets and showers were super clean and modern. The staff were super friendly and helpful with recommendations. The pub across the road does amazing food, highly recommend this site. 20 minute drive to Windermere as well!

Excellent stay at Little Acres

We had an excellent stay at Little Acres and would recommend the site for anyone wanting to stay within close proximity to the Lakes and the Yorkshire Dales. We were met on arrival by extremely friendly and helpful staff who made us feel welcome and made some local recommendations. The showers and toilet block were modern and exceptionally clean, this is one of the keys things we look for when booking a campsite and it lived up to expectations. We were recommended to eat at The Crooklands Hotel which was only a 5 minute walk - the food was excellent with generous portions and certainly didn’t disappoint. We would definitely book here again.

Great stop-over!

Great stop-over. Little site with all the facilities you need. The toilet/shower building was modern and neat, although I don't know how regularly they are cleaned as there was quite a lot of dust. An idea for improvement: install a change dispensers full of 20ps for customers to have showers.

The facility blocks are cleaned 4 or 5 times each day and I agree with you completely - this weekend, for whatever reason was very dusty! Even more surprising, because it was a bit, ahem rainy, a lot of the time. Since the weekend, the dust has disappeared and things are back to normal. We've looked at a 20p change machine, but the cost makes it prohibitive, so for now, the 20p change option is popping in to see me in my office where I've always got plenty of 20p's handy. I hope that you'll stay with us another time to see us dust-free again. Paul.

A really good experience for first time

This was my first time camping on a campsite. I had a really good experience. The weather was a bit annoying but that's out of our control. The owner of the campsite was very nice and polite. The toilets were amazing in terms of location and cleanliness. The other campers there were good people. We had no issues and overall, had a blast!

A lovely place to stay

We had a lovely time camping at Little Acre, we stayed on an electric-free pitch with our large tent. The owner was very welcoming and we saw him around the site checking things were all in order and tidying. The facilities were fab and very clean! Would recommend!

Just what we needed

Location is so handy for the M6 in both directions. You can hear the traffic but it's not bothersome, the site itself is peaceful. Site manager was really friendly and helpful. The facilities were lovely. The toilet / shower block felt luxurious and was very well maintained, as were the grounds. Only 20p for 3 min shower, complimentary toiletries and free hairdryer. Local pub etc in Crooklands which is within walking distance but also additional options in Milnthorpe, only a few minutes away by car. We travel to Scotland from Devon a few times a year and will absolutely stay here again.
