Sit with a coffee or tea, sipping up the glorious views Scotland has to offer and are spectacular in every depth. You can forget your troubles within minutes. Beautiful location within the hills and valleys. One of the better locations I've pitched in Scotland. Beautiful location to unwind, for one and for all 😎 The owner is friendly and helpful. Andrew and staff go above and beyond to make sure everyone well looked after! Came into a wee problem with the van, and Andrew and peer campers helped me sort it out! Best tv 📺 signal I've had in van so far. Can't wait for new pitches to be finished with some of the best hill and valley views in the land! Thank you Andrew and the friendly K9's for another peaceful night under the stars. I wonder, do you ever have a day off?

Stayed here for one night prior to starting the West Highland Way. Arrived around 2100 and was greeted by the friendly manager. Given lots of tips for the walk and was made to feel welcome. Breakfast was provided. Site was clean, toilets and shower were clean and well maintained. Would come again!
All good

Lovely place to camp, much more laid back than most other campsites around Loch Lomond. Allowed campfires and left to enjoy your stay without harassment. Owner continuously trying to improve for guests. Defo recommend, this was our second time here and will be back. The only reason for my 4 star with cleanliness was the mud in our shower room, maybe a mop and bucket for people to clean after themselves would be good.

I personally really liked and enjoyed this campsite, it has a lovely atmosphere and the host is wonderfully eccentric and made me laugh a lot. The location and view both amazing! It is pricy for what you get in terms of the facilities as it had very limited toilets and even more limited showers. There also is only one cold tap for washing dishes. If you prioritise view and banter over facilities, then don't hesitate to book 😄
No disability facilities

I chose this site because it had disability facilities for my wife. I booked as the site was wheelchair accessible, however, I felt that it wasn't. It is the most strange site I have ever been to, it is more like a house where you camp in the front garden. They are packing in far too many people in such a small space which could be a hazard. The included breakfast is a selection of pre-packaged items from Asda or wherever they have recently shopped. We left early when we were unable to get back into our allocated pitch due to the over crowded site. The owner's dogs are left to roam free and they drop their business wherever they like and no one picks up after them so watch your step.

After a busy day I was just so grateful to find this beautiful "havre de paix" and to be able to relax surrounded by nature and silence. The park was perfect and I had a wonderful time with my dog Heidi. Thank you Andrew.
Too expensive

We didn't find any place to empty the sewage tank and it was not easy to access the toilet and shower since there were many people. It was also a bit secluded, and we couldn't travel into the city easily.
Could have been better

This could have been a much better experience for us if a stag party of 20 plus guys hadn't been there from our arrival. On Friday afternoon there was loud music, shouting etc. until they left on a coach but arrived back in the early hours to continue partying. Saturday night was worse as they partied on in the woods. Only 4 toilets and 2 showers. Breakfast was handy to have available. Evening food was very over priced for what it is, £12 for soup! That said, if you have been walking all day it may be welcome. I wouldn't stay again if large rowdy groups are accommodated. Shame because it's a great location.

The campsite is easy to get to, there are clear indications and buses very close to it. The staff were great and accommodation was well cleaned.

When myself and my daughter turned up the owner said he hadn't been expecting a large double axle van (8.2m). This was at 7pm and my husband and son were due to arrive 9pm. As there are no other sites in the area, the owner kindly offered to sort something out for me. Some army lads who were staying on site were drafted in to move some tree trunks to make an area large enough for my vehicle. Then the owner helped me position the van so my cable would reach the nearest socket. The site itself was small with a restaurant and bar. Continental style Breakfast was also laid on each morning for you to help yourself to. Facilities were good although the chemical disposal point not great - just a hole in a pipe in the ground with no wash down facilities. That would be my only criticism. Would love to stay again but unfortunately unless I downsize I know that I might not be able to.

Thoroughly relaxing place to be. Great experience for our dog's first camping trip. Only downside....I forgot to pack the citronella candles to fend off the 1 or 2 (!) midges. But that's Scotland. Will remember for next time, as we'll definitely be returning.

Great place. Arrived late (around 10.30pm) and went to reception. They showed us where to park up and the lady asked if we wanted food, saying it would be no hassle to make us something. Same again in the morning before we left, she asked if we wanted food and coffee etc.
Welcoming but pleased to see the campers go!

We arrived to a very warm welcome. We asked where the facilities were and were told they were round the back of the house but then Andrew added but you have your own onboard facilities. Obviously we knew we had toilet/shower in our campervan but when paying £40 for a night, we expected to use the campsite facilities. We did use the shower in the morning but felt a bit guilty doing so! An unexpected feature of this campsite was a lovely generous continental style breakfast. Whilst eating our breakfast, Andrew stood outside and was waving goodbye to people leaving. He said we should probably leave earlier than the 11am cut off time as we would be stuck in traffic as it was a Bank Holiday. He also added that it was illegal to wild camp and said all the roads past Loch Lomond were single track? We felt uncomfortable as we were thinking of booking a return visit on route back at the end of our holiday. We got the impression that it was great to see us but glad to see us go.

We used the campsite as our base to start the West Highland Way. We were welcomed into Drew's home, "Ardoch" the birth place of "John Muir", and made to feel very welcome. Lovely facilities for both campers and caravans and loved the use of the house in the evening, plus the continental breakfast in the morning. If you are looking for a place to start the West Highland Way, I would recommend this place. You can leave your car here (in safe grounds) rather than risking it in Milngavie!
Lovely site but better signage required

Lovely campsite situated in a beautiful part of Strathblane. The toilet and shower area was very clean. Unfortunately it was not clear to me where to park my motorhome. I thought I was in the wrong place and travelled further along the road and got stuck in a ditch trying to turn my MH back round. Tam who lives on the site was an absolute gentlemen and made sure I kept warm with lots of cups of tea and shelter from the cold until the AA arrived 5 hours later! Better signage with symbols of the MH area would help reassure guests they are in the right area. I would recommend staying here. I travelled solo and felt very safe 👍

This is definitely the most friendly, helpful and pleasant site we've been to. The staff above and beyond what you would normally expect. We had a delicious meal delivered to us in our van by the lovely chef. The staff are the nicest I have experienced in all the sites we've been too. Will 100% be going back, and soon.
