Thornbrook Barn is easily accessible from the A65 yet enjoys a tranquil rural location, right on the border of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. It's a warm and friendly site with all hardstanding electric pitches, some of which are full serviced. For glamping, there are three luxury ensuite glamping cabins each with a hot tub. The famous Waterfalls Trail at Ingleton is just a 15 minute walk away, along with the charming village of Ingleton.

What a find! We stayed on a serviced pitch we had complete privacy and lots of space. While we are very sociable people we know this is important. The showers and facilities are second to none with the luxury of piped music in toilet block. We have been staying on club sites (never again) as we can't tolerate the regimentation. We will be back. We sadly had to cut our stay short due to an issue with awning and had to send it back to supplier bone dry and weather was not looking good. Ingleton is a beautiful area lots of walks peace and tranquillity. Bonus having farm shop. Thank you.

Thank you Lesley for staying with us for 5 days earlier this month. I hadn't realised that you were having an issue with your awning, when I chatted with you we mentioned about the pitching and size of the awning and how it worked on the pitch, hope you get it swapped or repaired soon for your next trip away. I am glad you enjoyed the site and location and we look forward to having you stay with us again soon, Sandra.
Very good sized pitches

Didn't have to book in at the site as the number plate recognition operating the barrier does it for you and you are allocated a pitch before you get there. The pitches are the largest I have ever stayed on and gives the whole site a spacious feel. They are very well kept. The shower block is very clean. Easy to get to, but turn your sat-nav off on the final approach. Ladies - take your own hairdryer and bear in mind that there isn't a laundry. Everything else is on the website.

Many thanks for the great review, we are pleased you enjoyed your stay here and appreciated the design and layout of the site along with the large pitch you were allocated. Many thanks, Sandra and Alan.

I paid for a fully serviced pitch as that was all that was left at last minute. What an absolutely beautiful site, they really have thought of everything. Immaculately clean and pristine, they even leave out courtesy poo bags for dogs and there's an enclosed dog exercise area! I really can't fault anything, gorgeous location near a gorgeous shop, lovely pub nearby, a short walk to the local village and waterfall trails, it's the site that's got it all ❤️
Site's response
Thanks Jo for the fab review. Most of our pitches are Serviced Pitches (30 Serviced (with EHU/waster/waste and 12 Standard with EHU). We are so pleased you appreciated our great location near Country Harvest shop, and being able to walk in to the village too. Many thanks, Sandra and Alan.

The location was lovely and wash facilities were very clean. Dog field was good. WiFi password didn't work, even tried copying and pasting it several times but still said wrong password. Didn't see the owners, got an email to say it was self check in. I thought they may have popped by to greet us. Sadly the weather was against us so we didn't get to see the waterfalls as planned. The Marton Arms was a nice welcome and the food was excellent.
Site's response
Glad you enjoyed your overnight stay with us, sorry about the weather! We are aware that copying and pasting the password for the Wi-Fi on some devices doesn't work and this has to be inputted using your keypad. If you had called the 24hr contact number we could have advised. Hope you will return for a longer stay and to enjoy the Waterfalls Trail with the entrance just a short walk from the site.

Great facilities and very well maintained. Bit too manicured for us as prefer the more natural plus would have been nice to have been welcomed by owners.
Site's response
Thank you for the lovely review, we are glad your found great facilities and it was clean. Sorry that you found Thornbrook Barn was too manicured for you, we are also sorry we didn't get to meet you during your two night stay, we are often about on site. So many of our guests prefer the contactless check-in and find it effortless and relaxing. Even though we did not meet with you, we appreciate and value your custom. Regards, Sandra & Alan.

Fabulous campsite. We were impressed with how smart and clean the campsite is. The shower and toilet block is immaculate, the best we have experienced. Everything was easy to locate, from fresh water, recycling and even the walk to Ingleton and the local pub was clearly signposted. The use of ANPR provided an extra level of security. Ingleton was an easy 20 minute walk away, and opposite the entrance is a cafe/food hall, so it is really well situated. We only stayed for the weekend, but by the time we left we felt as if we'd been on a longer holiday, our batteries recharged and lovely memories made. Thank you!

We stayed at Thornbrook Barn for 2 nights this week and absolutely loved the place. It is pristine throughout and in beautiful surroundings. We had pitch 41, which looked out onto the grassed area at the side of the lodges with sheep grazing in the next field. Just so idealistic. The owners should be so pleased of the quality they have achieved at Thornbrook Barn and it will certainly be getting another visit from us this summer. Everything is to hand. You can even borrow DVD's from the information room to watch if you wish. Such a great idea. There's even a dog exercising field for your furbaby to have a run in too. The toilet and shower block are spotless and are cleaned everyday regardless. An absolutely amazing place and highly recommended. You won't be disappointed.
Site's response
Wow! Thank you for your most delightful review. Spring is a great time to visit Thornbrook Barn when you can see the sheep and lambs in the adjacent fields and enjoy the trees coming in to leaf and the blossom on the wild cherry trees that surround the site. We really appreciate you taking the time to write the review and we look forward to having you stay with us again later in the season. Sandra & Alan

We had a two-night stay at Thornbrook in our campervan. Pitches were well-spaced and a good size, we'd planned to bring our awning but didn't in the end, though would have had plenty of space to pitch it. Toilets and showers were very clean and warm. We walked the mile to the Ingleton Falls trial which was a fantastic day out, followed by a lovely pub meal in Ingleton as a reward for our efforts. Called at the Country Harvest farm shop and cafe just down the road from the site, for breakfast supplies and used the site's discount card (found in the information room in the toilet block). Would recommend and would book again.

Many thanks for your lovely detailed review - glad you enjoyed our location for the famous Waterfalls Trail and one of the local pubs. We look forward to having you visit again in the future. Sandra & Alan

Great site, stayed here before. Good facilities and even the nice surprise in toilet block - heated floor in shower. Had a couple of issues, we didn't receive our email just before visiting with our pitch number. Had to ring up and it sent straight away. Also on arrival, the gate didn't recognise our number plate so had to ring again. Lady was very apologetic and sorted issues. Glad they answered as it could have been a different experience. But would recommend site, especially visiting the Falls.
Site's response
Thank you for making a return visit to Thornbrook Barn and glad you enjoyed the location for accessing the Waterfalls Trail. Sorry there were problems with the barrier reading your number plate, as you are aware we have only had it installed since March. If we are about on the site, we have the site telephone diverted to our mobile number so that guests can contact us 24/7. We can also open the barrier remotely from our mobile too. Glad you enjoyed your birthday weekend! Sandra.

Would have given 5* right through. Only fault, although very minor, was toilet paper only 2 sheets big, but soon got wise and took my own. Otherwise, faultless.

This is the second time we have stayed at this site. Well laid out and ample size pitches. Needed to speak to them on two occasions, both calls answered straight away and the reason for the calls dealt with immediately. Friendly, helpful and absolutely spotlessly clean

Just returned from a fantastic 2 night stay at Thornbrook Barn campsite. The pitches are a great size with hedges in between for privacy. The toilet block was spotless clean with underfloor heating and music playing! The enclosed dog exercise field is great; to have a safe and enclosed area where our dogs could run to their hearts content was fantastic. We will definitely be back, as there has so much more to be explored in the area.
Site's response
Wow, what a fantastic review, thank you very much for taking the time to post the review and the 5* rating. Glad your dogs enjoyed their stay as much you did! Hopefully on your return visit the weather will be drier and sunnier too. Kind Regards, Sandra.

This is a lovely park - clean, tidy and well maintained. The farm shop over the road is great and does the best Cumberland scotch eggs I've ever tasted. Also, the pub round the corner does really tasty food - I thoroughly recommend the beef shin and ale suet pudding and the crème brûlée. The ride across Buttertubs Pass is incredible as you make your way up to Tan Hill to the highest pub in England. its well worth the trip. We will definitely be returning x
