Things to do on site and in the Woodbridge area
Woodbridge, about 15 minutes away, is a lovely old market town with beautiful river walks - and excellent restaurants! Waldringfield (10 minutes) is even nearer so you can start your river walk there and stop off at The Maybush for a pint or a meal.
Of course, a trip to Felixstowe (15 minutes) is a must. The docks and viewing point are at one end with the historic Landguard Fort. Then there's the seafront, pier, swimming pool and amusement arcade in the middle, and old Felixstowe with its fishing boats and huts at the other end.
How about a trip on the foot ferry from there over to Bawdsey and the world's first operational radar station? Or take the ferry to Harwich for a great day out.
Other nearby things to see and do include:
- Holywells Park (20 minutes)
- Woodbridge Tide Mill Museum (20 minutes)
