This is the second time we have used this pod. We used it this time, as last year, for a visit to Workington on the Saturday. It is also situated quite close to Ravenglass and we paid a visit to the railway on our way home. The facilities on site are excellent and very clean. It is quite a small pod, so two or three nights is probably enough, but we were very comfortable and warm. I was with my brother, who is almost seventy, (we had been to a football match when our local team were playing Workington) and he found the high step to get in and out of the pod a bit difficult. He did manage though and we enjoyed our stay. The who stayed section does not really cover us, so I have gone for the nearest, as I cannot post the review without it.

The campsite was very clean, well kept and had the most amazing views. The site wardens, Bruce and Sandy were absolute angels, they were very accommodating and effective communicators. We're most definitely visiting again before the end of the year. A nice little getaway from the hustle and bustle of the West Midlands.

The facilities were exceptionally clean, the hosts were very welcoming and helpful. We were very unfortunate with the weather, arriving just before a storm. The hosts were thoughtful and offered us a less exposed pitch, which we were very grateful for.

The campsite is spotless and set in beautiful surroundings with good facilities. It's very peaceful, Sandy and Bruce were very welcoming. They clearly work hard to maintain the campsite, the donkeys were an added bonus! I highly recommend to those looking for a quiet stay with scenic surroundings.

I've genuinely never stayed on such a clean and well equipped campsite. The site managers were lovely and had thought of every detail, from the kitchen facilities, to being able to purchase a fire pit and roast marshmallows. We'll definitely be back! Thanks for a wonderful stay.

Sandy and Bruce (wardens) were very welcoming and checked on us each day. The campsite is small and peaceful, perfect for a relaxing getaway. Lovely views of the mountains and forests. Also, close to the beach, could not have asked for anything more. We had lovely campfires in the evening which we rented out on site, as well as a BBQ. Will definitely be returning :)

Sandy & Bruce, the site wardens are lovely and welcoming. Impressive facilities and beautiful location. Shame we didn't have nice weather but never mind. As a suggestion, we would trim back the tree over the pitch as the rain plopping on the roof of the Motorhome (from the tree) kept us awake. The road down was rather uneven for the Motorhome, so perhaps when there are a few extra pennies, then it could do with a proper surface. It was a far superior site to the last one we visited and we could tell much thought had gone into it. We would definitely recommend it to anyone.

We were met upon arrival and shown our space and the facilities. Everything was very neat and tidy. The bathrooms and washing up/utility rooms were spotless all the time. The views of the fells are outstanding. It was helpful to have a tumble dryer to use and also a washing line too. All staff I met or spoke to on the phone were so friendly. Even the donkeys were friendly and liked a stroke. We are just working out when we can come back again.

We booked this location for 2 nights, first time stopping. First night, we had issues reaching the location due to roadworks which Sandy and Bruce helped with straight away. We weren't as prepared as we thought for the pod but Bruce & Sandy came to the rescue and helped set up the airbed. Lovely couple who checked in, couldn't help out anymore if they tried. Always available and the location is great, facilities clean and we loved the fact they had games for children, washing/drying facilities. I would gladly rebook. Thank you for a lovely stay and we would highly recommend this campsite.

The campsite caretakers were lovely and greeted us personally, also checking in on us to make sure we had settled in. They were helpful with advice and even allowed us to take a different pitch which was available that was more sheltered than our original booking, which was really kind. The service block was small and compact and mostly very clean, except for on the day of our departure (perhaps an off day). The site was welcoming and cosy with good level pitches. We'd definitely stay here again and happily recommend to others.

Stayed for 4 nights with our dog. Firstly, the views from the site are incredible! Waking up with a coffee looking over at the mountains was amazing. Sandy and Bruce were brilliant, always happy to have a chat and help in any way they could and would always give recommendations of places to go. The remote location, although great for the views, it does have the downside of not being near any big shops. But, there is a Spar and Co-op not too far away, so don't let that put you off! There are plenty of lovely walks you can do from the campsite, but also, it's not far from Wast Water and other lakes/the beach you could walk around too.

Our stay was very pleasant indeed. We were greeted by and looked after by Sandy and Bruce throughout. A friendlier and more professional couple you could not wish for. If other campsites were to look for a model to base their sites on, look no further than Parkgate Farm. Lovely walks with stunning views easily accessible direct from the site.

We wanted a quick, last minute campsite for 1 night that wasn't too expensive. I needed to book one where we could have Wi-Fi to watch the England match after we had walked up Scafell. All were either booked up, wanted you to pay for 2 nights or no Wi-Fi. Then, stumbled on this place. Hidden gem. The owners were so accommodating. Facilities were brilliant and clean. We will definitely be back and hopefully with better weather!

We had an amazing stay. This campsite is in a beautiful location and is one of the best campsites we've been too. The toilet and shower facilities are great and always immaculate! The couple who run the campsite are so attentive and friendly, they made our stay even better.

Perfect location to pitch a tent after climbing the nearby scafell pike. Beautiful view from the campsite, plenty of space between pitches, makes the most of being in a rural part of the Lake District. Bruce and Sandy were super helpful, would happily return and stay again.

We stayed just a night here after climbing Scafell Pike. The couple running the site are so helpful. The site is one of the cleanest sites I've ever been on and the views are amazing! Fires and BBQ were available to hire which was perfect.
