The Dimpsey Glamping shepherd's huts are set in a quiet corner of a small farm and sweetly named after a West Country word for the dreamy half-light that comes at twilight or dusk. Get away from it all and embrace everything the surrounding area has to offer with this perfect romantic escape for two.

About Dimpsey Glamping Somerset

Local artisans designed the huts with owners Emma and Andrew helping every step of the way, right down to choosing the special copper light switches. One sprawling shopping spree later, and they were festooned with cosy yesteryear treasures and vintage pieces. Emma even designed the cushions herself! The wood burners are all set up, all you need to do is put a match to it then lounge on the daybed listening to the owls, or retreat to the comfy double bed with a pot of tea, a book and a plate stacked high with buttered toast. You'll have everything you need for everyday life, sprinkled with little luxuries like a game of chess or a sip of fine wine from vintage glasses. There's a fire pit just outside each hut so you can barbecue over a wood fire, or try the garden oven to roast your chicken. A wood fired hot tub is also right outside each shepherd's hut for you to soak in too. Inside, there's a gas hob for any rainier days when you want to tuck into a hot supper whilst keeping dry. You can buy fresh produce from the farm itself, like lamb burgers and juicy sausages, as well as gourmet picnic hampers. The site has received the Visit England gold award.
