Just spent 3 nights/days at Lakeside Caravan Park. Location is fabulous, close to lake for kayaking, common for dog walking, easy walk to nice dog friendly pub. Brecon and the Brecon Beacons all a short drive. Showers/toilets were excellent, mini bathrooms, what a wonderful idea. Very clean and warm room and hot water. Washing up facilities, water, electric hook up all great. Thank you for a lovely few days, will definitely be returning

Had a great time at Lakeside Caravan park, The park itself is very clean and the facilities are spotless. Positives were that the campsite is very peaceful, clean and well presented. The horses and wildlife are a joy to watch. Negatives were that the bar only seems to open at the weekends. Cafe. The kitchen was also closed until the weekend. The only thing available was cakes and pies. To be honest, you would need a second mortgage to buy anything in there, £5 for a Pie! Shop. I appreciate that stock runs down, but there wasn't anything left. If you are not self sufficient, I believe you would struggle. We were told there is a shop 5 mins away in the village, but that concept of time and distance is very different to mine! Lake. Unless you are involved in any water activities, access to views of the lake are extremely limited as some parts are private and the walks around the lake that are accessible are nowhere near the water's edge.

Stayed here for 2 nights on my own, only me and 1 other tent there. Lovely and quiet, lovely big field, flat pitches 👌 Toilet, shower and sink in one, so no tiny place to get changed. Definitely be coming back again.

Fantastic site, superb facilities, individual showers felt like an en-suite and kept very clean. On-site pub served excellent food, very good value for money, on-site shop well stocked and very reasonably priced. On-site cafe offering amazing selection of pies, cakes and coffee. To top it off, fabulous views with lake in less then 5 minute walking distance. Great for anyone climbing Pen y Fan a 20 minute drive away. Overall, exceeded expectations and probably one of, if not the nicest campsites we've ever visited, will definitely be back.

Omg, where can I start? The views, the animals, the lake - the list is endless. What an amazing place, will definitely be back next year. Even the friendly onsite pub staff, I can't fault this place. The tent site was so clean and well kept after. A* - best place we've ever camped.

Myself and my daughter came here to test out the camper. We arrived (at the wrong site) and the number provided put me through to a lovely gentleman who stayed on the phone and guided me to the correct site, so for that alone I thank you. Being our first time and it being the 2 of us, I was starting to panic but this person helped a lot. The site is absolutely beautiful. As soon as we got there, my daughter had already made friends, I was putting up my awning and it was such a friendly environment, everyone was so nice. The showers and toilets were so close to where we were pitched and hot water, which was amazing after doing the 4 falls. I found the showers were quite dirty, lots of dead flies and dusty, but not complaining as it was nice to have the showers there. The toilets always had toilet roll in, which is always unusual for places where you're camping. The place is surrounded by stunning views and it was so so peaceful. The site is very well signposted, which helps when your first getting your bearings. I also found this site very, very accessible (I don't have mobility issues but my mum does) which is why I have booked to come back next weekend and I am bringing my parents for this reason. You can easily get around in a mobility scooter and the site is flat. There is some gravel (Earnie's field) which a walking frame may slightly struggle with but personally, I think this would still be okay. I shall write another review after myself, my daughter and my parents stay next weekend and let you know. There is a beautiful lake just outside of the camp site (again, accessible) where you can hire boats, take your paddleboards and a lot more. I believe there are licensing requirements if you want to take your own boat. We went to the 4 falls, which was about 40 minutes away and the drive there was absolutely out of this world, everything was just so calm. Absolutely 10000% recommend staying here as family, friends, couples and more. I don't think anyone would be disappointed, it's just so peaceful and relaxing. The dogs also loved it and there is a field down the bottom across a little bridge that we walked in each day. As long as there are no sheep, you clean your mess and you respect the land, then it's a great place for your furry animals to let off some steam off-lead if they need to and where's safe. My boys struggled being in their harness and on a lead, so this was a great place for them to go. Can't wait to come back, thank you so much for making the first experience so nice.

This is such a lovely campsite and would recommend to anyone. The instructions provided were very clear on how to access the campsite and find our pitch. The toilets and showers were spacious and cleaned regularly. Other campers were friendly and mindful of noise at night. We didn't go into the shop or on-site bar/pub but it was handy to have close by in case.

Really enjoyed our stay. Beautiful setting and the facilities were very clean. Note that you can't swim etc in the lake due to algae (not the fault of the campsite, obviously!) so don't bother bringing swimwear and kayaks, as we did! The cafe is nice too with friendly staff.
Beautiful place, quiet, we will come back

I would go again. Like any campsite, your experience will differ depending on the neighbours. We have a 1 year old, so we know that he might wake up at night (even though he sleeps through at home all the time) so we don't expect silence. We had some noisy neighbours but the did try and stick to the 11pm noise curfew. On the final night, there was a loud karaoke party going on. Far away enough not to wake the baby, but close enough to get on my nerves a bit. Like I say, this can happen on any campsite and I don't hold the management responsible for this. The lakeside walk was nice, the weather was good and by Sunday night the field was full. Must be a good sign if it feels out like this. The toilets and showers were cleaned regularly and I can't complain about anything to be honest.
Great value for money

Staff were so welcoming. Also visited red lion in Llangorse and had a great lunch. Will definitely be coming back. Absolutely loved it.

Very friendly people at the reception. A beautiful, close to the lake, campsite with excellent sanitary facilities. The pitches are enormous. The rental caravans are far away from the camping fields, so you get the real camping experience. We had booked two nights but wanted to stay longer. Unfortunately, the campsite was fully booked. The owner took me in his car to show me an 'overflow' pitch. There we stayed for another 4 wonderful nights, quietly. Had a nice evening with the neighbours, drinking and eating together. Some simpler sanitary facilities at this field, but excellent hot shower. Don't hesitate, book this campsite. You won't regret it.
