About Woodlands Caravan Park
This family-run park is set just a five minute walk from Devils Bridge Waterfalls and nature trail making it the ideal spot for walkers and lovers of the great outdoors. You will also be able to hear and wave to the passengers of the Vale of Rheidol Steam Train as it passes by! For campers and tourers, there are 26 grass pitches, 16 of which have a 16 amp electric hook up, all pitches are mainly level and have uninterrupted mountain views. The non electric pitches are unmarked and the electric pitches measure a spacious 7m x 10m too. Some of the electric pitches also have aerial points for digital TV reception. There are also 12 hardstanding pitches for those with caravans and motorhomes, these measure 7m x 10m and have a 3m grass area in between each pitch. For those without a tent or tourer you can stay in the Gypsy Pod which has all the extras that make your trip easy including electric, lighting and heating. There are benches inside for sleeping three, you just need to bring all your bedding and cooking equipment. There are also static caravans available. Around the site there are picnic benches scattered for enjoying meals al fresco whilst wildlife watching, you can also head out on a walk straight from the site through the woodland and the 400 acre farm, perfect for your four legged friends! For little ones there are two play areas with a see-saw and swing set plus a table tennis table and large grass area for games, the site also holds activity days to keep them busy! There is also a tea room and gift shop onsite where you can pick up a tasty breakfast or a light bite for lunch along with a gift to bring back home! Hop on the Vale of Rheidol steam train as it heads into Devils Bridge, or head to Aberystwyth for a day of coastal fun! Up to two dogs are welcome to join you for your stay just please ensure that they are kept on a lead whilst onsite. BBQs are permitted as long as they are raised from the ground, but please note open campfires are not allowed.

Things to do on site and in the Aberystwyth area
This park is great for those that want to explore Mid Wales and the Ceredigion Coast. If you enjoy walking, sightseeing or simply taking in the fresh air and relaxing, you'll love it.
There are walks straight from the field and it's only 12 miles to Aberystwyth. Nearby there is golf, horse riding, fishing, mountain biking and sandy beaches.
In Devils Bridge, scenic walks are available straight from the park and you can visit the world famous waterfalls and see the three bridges built one on top of another.
Take a trip on the Vale of Rheidol Steam Train which takes you into the seaside town of Aberystwyth. Taste the delicious hand made chocolates from the chocolate shop or enjoy a full evening meal in the Hafod Arm Hotel.
Just a short drive away:
- See red kites gathering together and being fed daily at Bwlch Nant Yr Arian, and take a walk or ride along the marked routes and trails.
- Visit the Hafod Estate with marked routes through this stunning estate. Walk through a cave and stand behind a waterfall.
- The friendly Rheidol Riding School is nearby for those who wish to explore by horse back.
- There is golf available in Capel Bangor, Aberystwyth and Llanrhystud.
- There are plenty of walks nearby including climbing Plynlimon, the highest mountain in Mid Wales.
- Take a trip to the seaside at Borth.
In Aberystwyth there is a cinema, theatre, leisure centre, cliff railway, coastal path, promenade, shops, supermarkets, castle, crazy golf, tennis and several pubs and restaurants.
The nearest beach is at Aberystwyth, but although beautiful it isn't sandy. For the perfect beach where you can imagine yourself a million miles from here, try Ynyslas with its long stretches of sand and sand dunes.
