Fab relaxing place, with really helpful staff

Lovely campsite. Really run well. Spotlessly clean. Beautiful rural surroundings but only a short drive to amazing destinations.

Lovely little site with good facilities. Peaceful stay in The Orchard with help at hand, should we have needed it. Definitely will return.

Very pretty Kentish site

A very pretty site in amongst orchards and long grass. All pitches seemed pretty flat but could maybe be a metre bigger and electric options would be nice. A lot of them are on the main loop and the one way system does lead to kids doing laps. It wasn't a problem for us but worth noting. If you want a bit more seclusion, peace and quiet you may want to request a pitch in the orchard area. Facilities are good, but could perhaps do to be twice the size for the amount of pitches. The shop is well stocked and prices are ok. The cocktail bar and food services are a lovely addition and all the staff were very polite and really helpful. Overall a very nice stay

We're glad that you enjoyed the service of our staff as well as the food and drink options on offer. We appreciate that you would have liked the pitch size to be a bit bigger however at 8 x 10 or 10 x 10, most customers find the pitch size adequate. In terms of having electric options, we have thought about this, but it's just not us! We do however offer campers to use our shop to charge devices, as well as offering freezer space for ice blocks and any medication. Family friendly campsite

We stayed for two nights from Friday - Sunday. When we arrived, there were lots of other families checking in, check in was a quick process and staff were very helpful and friendly. Lots of washing up sinks and all of the water points were drinking water. There was a retreat tent for rainy days and lots of activities for children. We were also able to hire a fire pit, and a small shop sold all of the things you needed, although it was only about a 15 min to the nearest Tesco in Dover. Could also hire board games, which was a bonus! We loved the food stand that was open - limited menu, pizzas (Friday) and chicken (Saturday) but it was cooked brilliantly. There was a nice gin bar open too! The only reason we wouldn't return to this site is the toilets and showers. There were four showers and four toilets in the ladie's (apparently the same in the men's) and the floors got dirty pretty quickly, and didn't appear to be cleaned, although we did see people cleaning the sink area and toilets. There wasn't also a lot of space to put your clothes in the showers - apart from a coat stand which was in view of the door! The water pressure and temperature was good though, and the site was small enough that you didn't have to walk very far to get to them. Overall though, a nice weekend away in a great location. Perfect for families, particularly with small children.

We're thrilled that you benefited from our washing up facilities as well as our shop, bar & activities available for children We work extremely hard to make sure everyone receives a pleasurable experience with lots to do We are however sorry to hear that our toilet & shower block didn't live up to your expectations. In terms of the quantity, the recommended ratio of toilets to pitches is 1:30 & showers are 1:25. Here at Fallow Fields we have a ratio of 1:15 pitches, which is twice the recommendation. We also apologise that you felt there was a lack of space to put your clothes - we multiple hooks for clothes on the cubicle doors, but will look again to see if we can add more. Lastly, regular cleaning of all of our facilities is something we feel passionate about here at Fallow Fields. As you will have no doubt seen, we are often praised for our facilities, Frustratingly, with lots of campers using the facilities, especially if the weather hasn't been the most glorious, coming in & out of the showers, wet feet, steam etc, when mixed with soil and grass will at timers make the floor a little muddy. We do however, frequently review our processes and thank you for your constructive feedback, it is much appreciated.

First time camping with kids

An absolutely wonderful stay at Selson farm. First time camping and it was so much fun! The staff were always happy to help. The site had brilliant clean facilities and activities for all ages. Will definitely return

Fabulous

Fabulous facilities. Shop, coffee, dinner and breakfast. Bar stocked with gin. Cinema and craft sessions for the kids. In a beautiful setting, amongst an orchard with woodland walks and lovely friendly staff.

Very nice campsite

I stayed with my wife and our dog, very nice indeed. Staff helpful and welcoming and the area was peaceful. Very clean toilets. Site is also clean. Quiet too and place is accessible to shops. There is a local fruit and veg farm with a pick your own place, Felderland Fields Farm, it's a must see.

Excellent campsite

Lovely campsite- toilets were super clean and great service. Nice and quiet, so no noise concerns. Enjoyed the fire pit and liked the town, only a mile away with a pub, shops and lovely bakers. Thank you to everyone there who made our stay worry free and lovely

Great little site

Our first overnighter in our new camper and this site was perfect for us, easy to find and not too big. Decent size pitch, good facilities had a nice little bar open from 6-8 pm with reasonable prices and a great little shop on site. All quiet on site from 10 pm, there was a bit of noise from the road, but not enough to spoil our stay - will definitely return.

All fine and friendly, but the showers are small, poky with little to put anything on

Fallow Fields is in an excellent, quiet location and not too crowded. My only complaint is that the showers are small, poky and do not seem to have any shelves, or other facilities to put things on, other than perhaps one hook. Not very practical.

It's absolutely beautiful

I would recommend this campsite. It's absolutely beautiful. Well located, the pizza kitchen and cute bar are perfect if you want to use but also unobtrusive if you don't. The long grass, orchard, and mown paths are picturesque, the family vibe, bell tents and campervan pitches are spacious and well located. The groups of children playing hide and seek were delightful and loved our dog so we had some wonderful moments reliving our time camping with kids. However, there was a huge group of noisy adults who played music and got drunk until 11.30pm. They were confrontational and rude when we asked if they would mind turning their music down. This offset the rest of the experience a little. The dog kennels 0.3 miles away we're also really noisy! Overall, I'd return without consideration but please deal with noisy campers.

Our stay

Fallow Fields Camping at Selson Farm is a beautiful campsite. This was our second time staying here. The first time was with friends (adults) and this time with family (children included) and we had the same amount of fun. Good, clean facilities. Great sized pitches. Both times we ordered pizzas from their pizza bar and breakfast the next morning, all tasted delicious. Would defo stay again.

Very friendly, level site

Excellent site with nooks for camping. I have a Berlingo van and was very happy with my pitch, it was good value. Excellent food available morning breakfast and evening pizza. Chips were crisp and plentiful! Lovely clean facilities too. My only downside was that the shower cubicle didn't have a shelf/rack for keeping shampoo off the floor and water was on the cool side, delivered by push button- good for environment, but hard to wash long hair.

Lovely site but needs more facilities

Site is very beautiful and staff were lovely. Pitches are spacious and the land is kept really well. Shop is well stocked and had everything you expect. Option to have food and drinks from pop up café/ pizzeria and bar is really great. Pizzas were not the best and chips weren't great either but both were edible. The only real downfall was the fact that there are not enough showers, toilets and wash basins. The wash basins are also squashed in so people had to move so you can get to the sink. There were also a few times where there was no toilet roll in the stall and the floor was nearly always wet and full of grass. They could definitely do with a couple of toilets and sinks nearer to the orchard where we were camped.

Weekend stay

All good, only the showers let it down due to really bad water pressure.

Totally fab!

Family friendly, lots of on site activities and nice places to visit. Really lovely campsite with exceptionally friendly staff who run activities for kids and adults. The facilities are a bit small for the size of the campsite, but were cleaned regularly.

Fabulous

We loved our stay, I came with my 11 & 8 year olds and they loved it. Very friendly and clean site with a warm welcome feeling. If I could find anything to criticise, it would be the variety of produce in the shop but that’s being a bit picky. Would definitely recommend

Lovely chill out spot

Had one night here just me and the dog. A warm welcome. Was blessed with some late evening sun. Has a lovely remote, relaxing slightly hippy vibe. Loved it.

Great location, disappointing facilities

Lovely pitches on site but the shower/toilet we're poor for cost per night (size and cleanliness). Surprised that no music is allowed, especially when kids screaming late at night was so so much louder. Nothing against children running around, but felt especially wild on this site! The site does over promise on it's facilities - wine tasting advertised as until 9pm but was closed at 8pm. Same with the bar ,which was disappointing when arriving slightly later on Friday evening. Overall, the set up of this site could be fantastic if facilities were improved!

Amazing! Can’t wait to come again!

We had the most amazing time here - thank you so much. The facilities are excellent, we loved the delicious pizzas and chicken and chips. The table tennis was fun and our bell tent was perfection. We will definitely be back!

A hidden gem

A lively site. Ours was a large pitch tucked away. Very clean. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Everything you needed. The site had a lovely atmosphere. We will be back and next time hopefully with the grandkids.
