It is the ideal site to pitch up in the countryside and still have access to all amenities. Dogs are welcome here and in all the nearby pubs, with over 400 acres of stunning AONB and many wonderful walks from Michinhampton this site is a great choice for those looking to get back to nature.

About Tobacconist Farm
This family-run campsite is quiet and secluded, yet only a five minute walk from the historic market town of Minchinhampton. This site is an excellent base for all that the Cotswolds has to offer. From your tent or motorhome door, you'll look out over luscious farmland, and you may even meet a few cows or donkeys that peacefully roam close by. It's adult-only with 18 spacious grass pitches set across 2.5 acres of farmland. The 12 large grass pitches have access to water and optional electric hook up. These are suitable for tents, tourers and motorhomes. Three of these are reserved just for motorhomes. There are also six paddock grass pitches for tents. Four of these have just a water tap and no electric and the other two have a water tap and access to optional electric hook up. Each tent pitch can accommodate a large tent, two medium side tents or up to four two man tents. All grass pitches can accommodate awnings, pup tents and gazebos at no extra cost. Pitches are pre-allocated so you won't have to worry about anyone camping in front of you! Ideally located on the Cotswold hills, the ground is solid and drains well. In order to maintain this, the site only allows one vehicle per pitch but if you're looking to bring more cars there is a free parking area you're able to use. While you're there, make the most of the picnic tables dotted across the site and sit back and take in the view. The site owners pride themselves on cleanliness, service and security and are always on hand should you need anything. If you're after dinner al fresco, guests are more than welcome to light up the site's raised fire pits or BBQs. Dogs are more than welcome to join you with up to three pups allowed per pitch. Please note that the campsite is 300m from the main gate down a single track, so early/late arrivals cannot be accommodate without 24 hours notice.

The unisex facilities are modern with underfloor heating and hot water. There are also men's urinals and accessible toilets. In the bathrooms toilet paper, hand towels, soap and hand sanitiser is provided and if you let the site know when it runs out they are more than happy to refill it.
There is a communal kitchen with sinks and hot water, a fridge/ freezer, kettle and 13 amp electric sockets. There is also a washing machine and indoor and outdoor areas to dry your clothes, for no extra charge.
There are charging points for mobile phones and outside are picnic tables, fire pits and BBQs as well as logs that you can purchase onsite.
Near to the facilities is a small woodland area for dog walkers which has a bin and bag dispenser. There is also a chemical waste point to the left of this with gloves, wipes, a tap and a bin. At the farm entrance we have a grey waste tank and recycling bins.
Please note that you're not able to charge electric cars on site.
With Minchinhampton a short walk away, everything you need is at your fingertips from great pubs, to a shop, butchers, golf club and chemist.

A great spot, peaceful and quiet overnight. An excellent pub 5 minutes walk away and some lovely walks over the Common on the doorstep. The showers and toilets were very clean and well maintained. Friendly owners, always on hand for advice.

Top notch facilities. The site was well drained, we stayed after some heavy rain. The site was very quiet, a lovely area, with lots of walks with some steep drops. The village has everything you might need, 2 cafes, a chemist, a post office, general shops and pubs etc. I would stay there again and would recommend.

Things to do on site and in the Stroud area
Feast your eyes on the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty! Just 10 minutes from base there is a gorgeous National Trust area where you can gaze out over five valleys. Whether you want to get your (bike) wheels in a spin, hike off into the horizon, or try your hand at horse riding, it's all right here.
If you're feeling particularly brave, you can even go hang gliding over the green beneath you!
And the perfect end to any of these adventures has to be a cosy seat in one of many traditional country pubs with a warm welcome and even warmer food.
A drive further afield around the Cotswolds will take you to some incredible beauty spots such as the stunning Roman Baths in Bath, stately Blenheim Palace and the Cotswold Farm Park.
