Thornbrook Barn is easily accessible from the A65 yet enjoys a tranquil rural location, right on the border of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. It's a warm and friendly site with all hardstanding electric pitches, some of which are full serviced. For glamping, there are three luxury ensuite glamping cabins each with a hot tub. The famous Waterfalls Trail at Ingleton is just a 15 minute walk away, along with the charming village of Ingleton.

Wonderful site to stay on. Close to Ingleton and Country Harvest store, both within easy walking distance. Very clean toilet/shower block and well maintained surroundings. Very large pitches with electric hook up, fresh water and waste water facility on the fully serviced pitches. Caters for caravans and motorhomes/ campervans too. Very enjoyable stay so we would recommend to stay here and we will be back.

Excellent site in a fantastic location for exploring many local towns and especially well located for access to the Ingleton Waterfall Walk, which is spectacular. Settle, Skipton and Kirkby Lonsdale all accessible by nearby hail and ride bus. Campsite itself is one of the best we've stayed on with immaculately maintained pitches and facilities. Had a nice chat with the owner who was very helpful with advice on the local area. Will definitely return.
Site's response
Thank you for taking the time to write such a fabulous review. Glad the weather improved for your stay and wishing you both many more happy travels in your new campervan. Sandra.

42 pitches, all hardstanding and about 50% full serviced. Site is immaculate and the owners have obviously given a lot of thought to the pitches and facilities. Stunning views and a fully secure dog field which was a real benefit with our Houdini hound. Great pub, just a 19-minute walk from the site and plenty to see and do in the area.

Many thanks for your lovely review - we love the title! So pleased that you enjoyed your ten days here earlier this month, we agree there is plenty to see and do in the surrounding area. Sandra & Alan

Beautifully laid out and maintained. The ablutions were fantastic and all the local information was available in a small info room. An exercise area for dogs, what a brilliant idea! The location was beautiful! Everything about Thornbrook Barn was brilliant. The no nonsense arrival and departure, lovely spacious camp sites, spotlessly clean and very modern ablutions, amazing location and easy to walk everywhere. The dog area was brilliant and all the dogs enjoyed the tantalising smells! We thought this was a first class site, we would certainly come again and will definitely recommend Thornbrook to friends. It's clear that a lot of thought has gone into the planning of this lovely campsite!

Excellent site, clean facilities, fabulous owners and well cared for surroundings. All pitches are good, very quiet when we were there, just what we go away for. Great walking on the doorstep, walkable village location and country store within 5 mins walk. Great position for the 3 peaks walk.

Thank you Linda for taking the time to write your lovely review. Glad you enjoyed all the lovely walks. Perhaps on your next visit, step over the border in to Lancashire and ascend Gragareth (Lancashire's highest mountain) which is just a short distance from the site? Hope you enjoy the rest of your travels this month. Sandra & Alan.

Visiting the area to walk the 3 peaks, and this was the perfect location. A short drive to the starting point and then a short walk to the pub in Ingleton afterwards. The site is clean and modern and the facilities were spotless.

We chose this site because it was close to the Ingleton Waterfall Trail. Booking and check-in was all contactless with the pitch being assigned by email. This all worked very well. The site appears to be relatively newly laid out. The pitches all have plenty of room with hedging arranged very cleverly providing privacy. The hardstanding gravel pitch was flat and edged with border stones onto immaculate grass lawns. All excellent. The toilet and shower block was superb. Again it seemed new and was kept very clean. Plenty of showers, toilets and sink cubicles. Piped radio music in the block. Dish washing and laundry room were excellent. Within walking distance was the Country Store (5 mins) where you could get all types of fresh food and frozen food plus gifts. The Marton Arms (15 min walk) is a nice pub. We had a drink there but didn't try the food although it looked good. We did the Waterfall Trail. This is located in Ingleton village (20 min walk to start) The trail is 4.5 miles with some quite strenuous parts in some places. Watch out for the horse flies on the first stage as they do leave a nasty bite. It took us about 4 hours, although it was a very hot day. A lovely site, well worth the money.
Site's response
Wow, what a lovely, helpful review. Thank you for taking the time to write it. We are glad that our site and amenities looked quite new when in fact, they are now in their 10th season. Sorry those pesky horseflies were a nuisance around the Waterfalls Trail during June - I received a couple of nasty bites too! Sandra & Alan.

The lodge was absolutely fantastic. We were lucky to visit in glorious weather and take advantage of the outdoor area. Inside the lodge is very comfortable and well presented, with everything you could possibly need for a short stay. The welcome pack was a great little touch. I thoroughly recommend.

First trip out in our motor home. Lovely clean new looking site. Not too big, very quiet with enclosed space for the dog to play. Across the road from the entrance a farm shop for supplies. Couldn't ask for more really.

This site is exceptionally well presented with large pitches that offer a good degree of privacy. The shower and toilet facilities are maintained and cleaned to a very high standard. Within walking distance is the Marton Arms, where we had a really good evening meal. We walked the Waterfall walk and were lucky enough to have perfect weather allowing us to take in some lovely scenery. We will certainly book again and would recommend it to others without hesitation. I would add that the site is very quiet and is suited to people who are looking for a quiet and restful stay. Also lots of dogs around taking advantage of an enclosed dog exercise area.

We appreciate your lovely review and 5* rating and are pleased that you will recommend to others (word of mouth advertising is the best!). So glad too that the weather was good for your walk on the Waterfalls Trail, just a short walk from our site entrance, as it is really fabulous on a nice day.

This is an excellent base for visiting all that the area around Ingleton has to offer. The site is immaculate with serviced pitches, excellent (and modern) facilities and easy access from A65 (but far away from the main road to not hear the traffic). Ingleton Falls walk is a 20 minute walk away. Communication with the site was excellent - we were emailed our pitch number before we arrived so could go straight to our pitch. We highly recommend Thornbrook Barn and will certainly return.

Many thanks, Kevin for such a lovely review. Glad you enjoyed your stay and our great location. We look forward to you making a return visit in the future. Sandra & Alan

We booked this site at short notice as it is very well located for the Ingleton Waterfall Trail. The facilities were immaculate and the pitches were a good size. We enjoyed an evening in the Marton Arms pub which is only a 10 minute pleasant stroll away. The campsite had a very chilled and relaxed ambience. We enjoyed our short stay. Probably best suited to couples or families with older children.

Thank you Janine for a lovely review, much appreciated. We are glad you enjoyed doing the fabulous Waterfalls Trail followed by a well earned drink at the Marton Arms too.
