Harbour Lights is located just outside the village of Haverigg on the south-western tip of the Lake District National Park. There are non electric grass pitches as well as electric gravel and hardstanding pitches, perfect for campers and tourers alike. Or opt for a camping or glamping pod for something a little easier. An idyllic spot for relaxing, a two minute walk from Haverigg Beach.

This is a lovely campsite! The ladies in reception were so lovely & friendly. Coming round on an evening before leaving (I'm assuming - before security came on) to make sure we had everything before she locked up, enough logs etc. It was lovely! Great shower rooms, just a shame the floors were filthy from the mud. It made showering a little harder with small children keeping them and their clean clothes off the floor. Maybe some kind of squeegee mop wouldn't go a miss in the shower rooms so people could clean the floors after themselves. Close to a great quiet beach too and beautiful views. Highly recommended ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Upon arrival we were greeted with warmth and lots of useful information about the surrounding area as well as the facilities on site. We felt welcome and relaxed immediately. The campsite has gorgeous views, so we struggled for choice of where to pitch but were pleased at the options and the ease of access to facilities from wherever we pitched, as well as the high standard of grass to pitch and roads to drive on. It was great to see them being maintained from the moment we arrived too. The toilet and shower facilities were finished to an excellent standard with plenty of cubicles and room inside, the warm shower and heated radiator was just bliss! The fresh water taps located all around the site were great for cooking and drinking. The beach being just over the hill was excellent, and the Ski Bar just round the corner was such a bonus, with lovely staff, views and drinks also. The local village street was within easy walking distance, we were just a bit disappointed to realise the chippy was closed on the days we stayed but we ended up getting a take away delivered (info posted on the Reception bulletin board!). Lastly we could not have been more excited at the ice cream shop on site. The ice cream is hand churned with lots of choices (recommend the strawberry!) and the staff were just lovely too. We were really sad to leave after only one night so would definitely try to come down from Scotland to stay again and have already recommended it to friends & family.

Lovely short stay at Harbour Lights, with extras like ski bar, Aqua Park and beach so close by. Great pitch and facilities. Ice cream was delicious on site. Definitely will return again.

Arrived on the Saturday and we were out on a pitch in the centre of the holiday park. We felt like we were in a fish bowl, people cutting around the van to get to the toilet block, one woman stood directly in front of our van the next morning and let her dog do her business. The rain started immediately and on the first night campers in tents decided to start drinking and let their kids run feral around the campsite until nearly midnight. The caravan was battered by wind and rain and on the second day, we asked to be moved to a more sheltered pitch, which they did. The rain carried on and eventually around all the pitches, huge puddles of water began to fill up. We had to keep adjusting the van legs as the van was sinking, even on gravel. We gave up on the third day and decided to leave as it was - a washout. Before leaving the groundsman, decided to cut the hedge at the back of the vans and the noise was awful, someone pitched their tent next to our van and their three kids shouted and screamed most the night. Why do campsites let tents pitch up next to caravans? I know I have moaned a lot about this place but we paid £170 for this and I know they can't control the weather, but caravans need some sort of buffer from high winds and rain. There's no order on this campsite and we saw a couple of tents pack up and leave early.
Poor facilities

The facilities were awful to say the least. Toilets were backing up, as were the showers! Everything needed a really good clean too. They were well aware of their issues with the toilets and it seems to have been an issue for sometime. In the end, they closed off a lot of the toilets, which then led to queues to use the open ones. The grounds flooded quickly with the amount of rain we had whilst there, which meant you couldn't walk from your pitch to the loos without getting your feet wet. I had to have words with one of the owners because they decided to strim behind our caravan which caused rocks to hit our awning! It's a site we won't be returning to.

Thank you for your review. Unfortunately, due to the rain and the pump malfunctioning, we did have an issue, which we worked on to resolve. Obviously when it rains the ground does get wet, meaning your feet do too. I am also sorry that one of our groundsmen caused a rock to hit the awning whilst strimming, I will have a word with them regarding this.

Even in the pouring rain this was a lovely site. Loved it so much that we are looking to come back again this summer. Facilities were the best I have been to in my novice camping experience.

The campsite was lovely, clean and quiet. The shower block was spotless, very modern and was always clean when we went in. The only down fall is the location. One little shop in village and the nearest shops was over a 30 minute drive. so you definitely need a car. Would highly recommend this site for families that have older children, as there no park for kids, but would be returning.
Hardstanding pitch was okay

I don't believe it's worth the price - I felt that you can get better for cheaper, but the site is okay.

Lovely little site and friendly staff. The homemade ice cream is amazing. Not much to do but does have water sports nearby. The ski bar food was great. Our dog loved it here.

Clean and well maintained facilities, staff professional, especially when we had a problem with noise, dealt with properly. Our only concern was lack an apparent lack of security, there seemed a lot of vehicles coming onto the site and not staying any length of time Will we return, definitely.

Great little campsite with all the basic facilities you need, plus coffee and an ice cream shop. Camp right on the beach. Great for dog walks. Local shops are a 5 minute walk.

Almost everything was fine. Spacious pitches, calm environment, clean facilities...but I don't understand why the heating in the bathrooms has to run on max and waste has to be carried to the next village to be sorted- I am sure this could be fixed quickly.
Very pleasant stay

Our first stay on a campsite. Friendly lady in reception. Clean campsite and shower block. Lovely ice creams. The Ski Bar is not far away and does food and drink. Felt very safe.

Nice site, pleasant staff and amazing new shower wet rooms. Felt the site could do with more water points, waste disposal points, recycling bins and dog poo bins. The ski bar next door is nice, dog friendly but a little pricey. Village leaves a bit to be desired.

I would recommend the park for a weekend stay. The only problem is the dust from the road and how far the toilets are, they need to have disabled bays near to the toilet block and showers. Otherwise a nice relaxing sit, would stay again.
