Lovely spot. Good sized plot. First time away on a site with families, normally we go to adult only, however it wasn't really an issue. Quiet time adhered too and plenty of space for play. Shop selling hot pastries were delicious. Fire pits, and facilities kept exceptionallly clean.

I loved how all the pitches were on level ground, and we also got a bench where we could sit and eat in tge evenings. Pitch sizes were good but there were quiet rowdy families, no fault of the campsites. Would recommend, the track down to the campsite has a lot of potholes so be careful! Lovely brownie and cake shop too.
Beautifully situated and facilities exceptional

Super site but care is needed to get to the site with large units, best to follow advice on the website. We will be back soon!

This was my first time camping with just myself and my dog as a single female, I felt safe while on the site. T he staff were really friendly and would help with any queries you had. It's a great base for hiking, with plenty of walks you can do straight from the site without having to get in your car
Lovely stay here

Cannot recommend this site enough. We had an amazing time. The site is well spaced out and the views are stunning. The facilities are the cleanest I have seen.

This place is so pretty! The facilities were plenty and clean, and the pitches were lovely. The staff were unfailingly friendly. The location is great, and the pre-arrival info was better than anything I've ever had. There was a (wild) baby bunny welcoming committee and three alpacas, as well as a couple of ducks. So much birdsong, and the surrounding area is beautiful and varied. We would highly recommend it!

My return to camping after a 40 year wait did not disappoint. Showers, toilets and the pot washing areas are spotless. Didn't use the laundry or freezer, but nice to have them available. Located in a beautiful area with many places to visit whether walking, driving or pedalling. The nearby café was a bonus, had a nice lunch there then returned later for pizzas.

Nice site in a quiet location. The plots need some maintenance, it was a bit rough around our van.
Wonderful location, extremely well managed and clean facilities

Howgill Lodge is a 'quiet' site with a mixture of tent pitches and caravan/camper hook-ups. There are a number of very clean and well resourced toilet/shower blocks, and laundry facilities too. The staff are very friendly and helpful and knowledgeable about the local area. I would recommend Howgill to people who are looking for a pleasant base from which explore the Yorkshire Dales.
Superb- neat, tidy and friendly staff.

My partner and I stayed here for 3 nights. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Amenities were cleaned regularly and done to a high spec. The campsite is ideally located for hikes and local sightseeing opportunities. Will 100% be visiting again. *Definitely do the firepit one of the nights.

Rural location approached via a long gravel track. A little noisy on the first night due to someone's outdoor entertainment but very peaceful on the following nights. Good facilities but the shower block wasn't very warm (mid-October). Everything else was well organised. Handy for Skipton, Grassington & Pateley Bridge.

The only downside to this site was the difficulty we had navigating the lanes to get there in a motorhome, if it was smaller it would not have been a problem. Friendly staff, nice and clean place, with everything within walking distance.
Lovely stay, thank you!

This is a lovely site with a great atmosphere. As a single caravan camper I try to avoid sites that have large groups and many pitches, so it feels friendly and relaxed. I wasn't disappointed here- the staff were very helpful and accommodating, and all campers seem happy and enjoying themselves. I would definitely come back.

Views are lovely across the valley, plenty of wildlife and lovely walks in the area. Second visit to the site and it has improved with a new shower block on the terracing. Note for the owners - Pitch 17 is not great at all so I would recommend you not putting anyone on it and remove it from a potential camping pitch. There are no views, it felt quite claustrophobic with the large trees and bushes surrounding it and has the toilet block the other side. Not a pitch I was happy to have originally assigned to me, or other fellow campers who also asked to move pitch from it. Other than that initial setback, we had a great 4 night stay with you and would recommend the site to plenty of others wanting a quiet, relaxing camping trip. Thank you.

We had the most wonderful view, in daytime the lovely hills and by night we were lucky to watch a meteor shower. But the most wonderful thing was that the site was very quiet after 10.30, everyone there respecting their surroundings and this was very refreshing. The staff was very helpful and we really enjoyed having a camp fire. We will definitely be returning.
Wonderful views in deep rural Dales

Hardstanding pitches were good at the top, quite tight for caravans further down but lots of happy campervans. Alpacas and bunnies in field but no dog walks on site and lots of flies. Very well maintained and clean and the pastries and barista coffees were great each morning.
