We have just come back from a really nice weekend at Mill Farm with family. The weather was a bonus. We got a nice friendly welcome when we arrived. There wasn't a lot on the site but it did have a big field for the children to play. Unfortunately, there was no play equipment to play on, but they had a lot of fun with the toys & kites that we brought with us. There is a lovely village pub 5 min walk from site who serve very nice food and were very obliging. We went to Flamborough on the Saturday for a paddle, had a nice walk round the little wooded area before we came home Sunday. We were lucky enough to be able to extend our stay until 6pm for a small fee. The only thing we thought could be a little better were the taps in the in the shower block, they were very hard to push down and to reach for smaller people & the paper towels very high. The showers were okay, but would be nicer with a bit more pressure & temp control, but they were all lovely & clean. We would visit again. There are lots of places to visit that aren't far away.

Fantastic site but the showers are not good, clean but they just don't work properly. We really hope they can improve them as we would love to go back there for another holiday.
Site's response
Thank you for your review, we would love to have you back. Please could you contact us so we can identify the problem with the showers, as we have checked them and all seems well.

An excellent campsite, to my knowledge, mainly used by families in caravans and large tents. Well laid out and maintained with a clean and tidy shower/toilet block. I never had any problems or had to queue for showers, toilets or kitchen washing up facilities. Practical base (about 15 miles away) from Bempton Cliffs and all that that has to offer.
Site's response
Thank you for your review. Yes, Bempton Cliffs do offer spectacular views of the sea birds.

Site run by a husband and wife team; they were very attentive and helpful, providing excellent customer service. Site very clean and toilet/shower block immaculately clean. Within walking distance to beach but enquire regarding route before setting off. We found beach access best via Mr Moos ice-cream parlour. Lovely pub within walking distance.

Absolutely lovely place - nice and quiet and very clean. Lady greeted us and made us feel very welcome. Just sad it was the last weekend, but we will definitely be visiting again next year. It's a massive thumbs up from us and thank you for having us. X

Stayed for one night testing out a new tent. Site was peaceful and quiet and the host was friendly and informative about the local area and recommendations. The pitches were perfectly spaced out and well maintained, facilities spot on and clean. Highly recommend for getting away to the countryside and being near the beaches.

Thank you for your review, glad you liked your new tent.

Skipsea is a pleasant, small coastal village with easy access to neighbouring Hornsea and Bridlington. The site is basic but well cared for, the pitches are a good size. Beach access was limited due to coastal erosion, but worth finding local access points to enjoy several miles of mainly empty beach. As keen walkers, we loved it. Nice site and nice place.

A lovely quite site but our son still found other children to play with and loved that ball games were allowed. A friendly welcome with the option to change pitch if we wanted (we were more than happy with the one allocated to us). Most places require you to drive there but the local pub was within walking distance.

Beautiful, old farmhouse reception. Well maintained site. Friendly helpful owners. We enjoyed our stay. I enjoyed the bunch of fresh sweet pea in the shower room. A lovely touch. The weather was good, which is always a bonus when camping. There was no on site shop selling basic food items.
Site's response
Thank you for your review. Just to let you know there is a shop in the village, three min walk.

A lovely stay here at Mill Farm. Friendly and welcoming reception, clean facilities. Nice and flat for camping. A great place to explore the Yorkshire coast. A shame that the coast is crumbling away near the campsite, so the beach is unaccessible, but other beaches are not far away by car.

Great site. Kept very clean. I saw the site owner picking up litter at 6 am - that's dedication for you. Large pitches with lots of room between units. Great site, and will return without a doubt.

Arrived earlier than expected but was not a problem. Shown straight to our pitch and everything explained clearly. Space was amazing! Shower block and toilets were very clean and well stocked, water was lovely and hot. Will definitely recommend.

We had to leave early

We arrived to the site to be met with a very unwelcoming greeting, as they had actually got the people in the party wrong for our visit. The site itself was very basic but clean and tidy. The toilet block and showers need a lot of help and renovation. I had to leave early once the owner of the site met me in the morning, taking my dogs out for the morning constitutional and was criticising the fact that the dogs did their business on the grass and not on the 'dog walk' outside of the site. I had cleaned everything up but this still wasn't good enough. I felt that they are not a dog friendly site at all. There was no phone reception and no internet.
Site's response
I was sorry that you made the decision to go home early. You were welcomed upon arrival at the reception, where we checked the details you had given. You were shown to your pitch, which you liked, and informed as to the facilities and the farm walk for your dogs. In the morning, you took your two dogs on their leads, to use to a nearby pitch, you did clear up after them but it is not nice for the people using that pitch. We make no charge for dogs provided they are well behaved and kept on a lead. There is a very pleasant tree lined walk for both you and dogs to enjoy. Telephone and internet reception depends upon your provider.
Loved it
